Just because there a homeless shelter that itself rocks thing is not many people know about it thats what we need of more places to help them out let them walk the street like me are you I been homeless I been there and 5 kids living in a tent at camp grounds let them walk the street the right way. Bless them all
I use the Camden CC pool for lap swimming which I took up in 2017. You can check out the hours that they keep on their website as it changes from time to time. You can purchase a 20 visit pass for relatively low price which makes swimming for exercise very reasonable. They close the last 2 weeks of the year for maintenance and I think they can do a better job at cleaning the leaves that sink to the bottom of the pool.Overall, 4 of 5 stars, a very good place if your a swimmer. (Or plan to take it up)
I am homeless and have been having trouble getting a running, street legal vehicle/residence. During the past 3 years, I went through two vans, both of which constantly broke down. Now, Im aware of all the signage posted, but there were many, many times where I had to leave the cars overnight. I would put a note on it begging for Mercy and pray. Not once did I get towed (which for me would be losing the car). There were two occasions where staff interacted with me to find out why I was still there and they were really nice, patient and understanding people. My latest vehicle doesnt need the safe haven, so Im there less and less these days. In the time I spent there, I found that offer great classes for all kinds of senior needs....dog obedience, water aerobics, financial counseling. Theyve get a pool, a fitness center and a gymnasium. They have drop-in activities almost every night...basketball and such. Great place to shower and shave...reasonably priced. I think they serve lunch for seniors on weekdays, too. Theres a track around the field thats a quarter mile. Soccer and baseball games can be played/watched within. Oh...almost forgot...solar panels. Lots and lots of solar!
This is my community and home base and I love it! I have lived in different places and in different cities and Ive been around the world and visited different countries, but Campbell is my home and where my heart is and I would not want to live anywhere else! From the quaint shops and many restaurants (including the Farmers market and various ethnic themed festivals throughout the year), for me personally Campbell is my spot!! P.S. The nature trails and parks are special treasures as well!!!
Community Center has plenty of parking shade playground in the back yard for where you can play soccer practice they offer many different classes for senior citizens they got heated swimming pools basket indoor basketball court you can take showers theyre very clean one of my favorite places
Excellent swimming pool, not very crowded except for peak summer times but even then you have to only split a lane or have 3 people in a lane worst case. Cost is also very reasonable.
Its a nice swimming pool but the chlorine is so strong that every time I swim, I itch the whole day. If the water get to the eyes, they feel burnt. I wonder why they have to put sooo much chlorine
Dont remember being here but since Im popular (over 400 views) I thought Id help this place out.
Community leaders are a great fit. For living here
Clean, modern, friendly staff, many activities, warm pool, big too, machines always kept up.
Dirty, dirty, dirty! The showers at the pool are horrible, old and smell like urine. One shower has been leaking for years! The room where they have summer camp (camp San Jose) is super old and dirty. Cabinets have no doors, and the drowers have no handles. The outside area that leads to the pool has been dirty for years!!! Year after year we come here and there is no change!!! So disappointing! It needs major renovation and much better house keeping!
Its a nice way to use the land that was part of Camden High School.
Always nice as far as staff, bathrooms not open on weekends. Basketball courts are nice playground kinda ehh.
Beautiful and welcoming facility with tons of fun activities and special events for all ages. I especially like the Ballroom Evening Dances,Square Dancing, and the upcoming breakfast with Santa for kids on Dec 17, 2016 from 1 month old to 1 year, 5 months and up (lots of openings remain, register your kids today and Happy Holidays to you and yours). :-)
The front desk staff is so very helpful at the Camden location. They try their best to make everything as easy as possible. Swimming pool is amazing. Has nice gym. Very clean activity rooms. 4 stars because there are alot of homeless that use the parking area for their cars and they hang out in the kids park. So you see lot of smoking and dogs running around. I suspect they also use the gym/ shower pool as u can buy drop in passes. I have kids so I dont always feel so safe at the park just cus some seem a bit transient and my children are still little
Been coming here my whole life handsdown best hangout spot
Great place for basketball, voting, kids classes, volleyball, swim classes.
Organized and efficient. All flyers pertaining to different camps available with all relevant info listed. Staff knowledgeable and kind even offering cookies while we waited.
Used to go here for the Camden High All Year Reunion in July until the center priced our event out of here.
Convenient place to bring kids.
I frequent the drop in gym. Its very affordable and has a nice selection of weight machines and life cycles and treadmills. No frills which is perfect for me. The restroom is super stinky and frequented by hobos. I imagine it never gets clean, but the gym itself seems to be clean. They close at one on Saturdays which can be annoying.Give them a try for your fitness needs.
Great fitness facility with low monthly rates and plenty parking. CCC has a great list of community based events as well as free or low fee classes.
Great place for a large function we had 225 people in the main hall.
The room is very nice and clean the front desk is very helpful and polite
Great place to go to ...when paying for gyn fees we are allowed to shower even without the gym use.
Beautiful pool and very clear water since the remodel. Changing area is not as nice but perfectly adequate. Very high range of swimming ability so it is sometimes difficult to pair up in an appropriate lane if needed.
We enrolled our son for the summer and winter camps for several years. He really enjoyed all the activities. The staff were helpful and friendly. Prices were reasonable
Very friendly and accommodating staff hard-working
This place its real nice to be at people at front desk treat you with alot of respect and other people there are really friendly
Great place to get some peace of while working out. Not to busy if you get there at the right time and on a Tuesday and Thursday. Not a lot of equipment but just what you need.
Nice local community area with a pool
Great facility, bathrooms get gross from pool patrons changing there instead of the locker rooms. Also no food or snacks available for purchase.
Very friendly staff! Lots to do. Never very busy.
Best senior dances on Tuesday with Joe Brcich dance instructor. Very good. Lots of fun. Good exercise!
The Camden Community Center offers recreation opportunities for all age levels. It has a pool, fitness room, gym, and a teen center. It also offers senior services such as a nutritious lunch program.
Great place to dance on Friday afternoon. Nice wood floor and also a lesson. $1 each for lesson and dance.
Very friendly and helpful staff. Providing useful services to community. I received advice and process about Medicare health plan for my mother.
This community center is great, nice pool for swim lessons or lap swimming and great field for soccer practice and other sports. They run lots of programs out of here and its always busy. The little playground is nice though sometimes theres vagrants on the grounds.
Today was my daughters very first swim lesson. She is typically scared of EVERYTHING, so as usual she was hesitant to participate in the lesson today. Amiee and Haley both spent so much time with her building trust, and eventually getting her in the water and participating, I feel they went above and beyond! I used to teach swim lessons and I know how frustrating it is to have a child like this so I would like to give them the recognition they deserve! Great job Girls!
Free swim day, summer outdoor movies with free popcorn, love this place..
Great place for everyone! Nice staff and facility.

Awesome place and tons of space for kids
The kids like it and thats all that matters, but I feel my kids always get sick after they attend a activity here (boo)
Great place to shower only 25.00 a month
Came here for the January 2018 Seniors Agenda Network Summit. Great location with access to the community, and a wonderful park.
Great neighborhood facility. I wish more neighborhoods had a place like this.
They make their pool available for a local white water paddlers club, so thats at last worth note. But its hell to get to on public transit.
The pool is pretty clean and cheap, but the recreational swim time is in the middle of the day where not a lot of people are free or out of work.
Didnt mind the place till a San Jose Park and REC worker called cops when I asked why I should call his office to report graffiti when I was talking to him.
Hoedown in the big room. Awesome . Roomy, kitchen, chairs, restrooms right in there close, plenty of parking.
Fun and nice.
They have few individuals in the front desk that behaves like middle school kids. No manners, rude n clueless on how to do their jobs.
Not a place id hang out at
Only come here for open gym, but the front desk people are social and friendly. The facility itself may seem a bit outdated. The gym has overgrowth and can be pretty dusty.
We all i.e.kids all enjoyed well
Great pool with a decent locker room, and walk-ins are welcome.
