Tabard is a charming theater group who enjoy involving audiences in their performances. Each performance is a fresh perspective of whichever play, skit or musical they are presenting. I have been going their for years and I love it. Each of their shows have matching cookies to purchase and they donate a portion of their proceeds to a given charity. I cannot say enough good things about Tabard!

First time visit in January 2020 to see A New Brain. Stellar production. Wonderful company and venue; comfortable seating, good sight lines, full bar and snacks; well-managed, top-notch spot in San Pedro Square, San Jose. And they validate parking which is right across the street!

Pleasantly surprised to find this local gem! What great little theater! They have concessions and a bar which make for an even better experience. The signature drink, The Tabard, was a little too much lavender/violet flavored for my taste, but the coffee drinks were YUM! Chairs were comfy and sound was good too!

Gorgeous space. Great seating. Superior venue. Be advised there is a very steep staircase to get to the performance space. For those with mobility challanges, there is a freight elevator that looked less than awesome. Looking forward to more productions in this space.

Great ambience and a nice bar! They had some nice snacks and drinks at a reasonable price. The theater also validated parking in the garage across the street so it is easy to get to. The one thing to know is the theater is a little hard to find. It is in the back of Peggy Sues. Overall a great time!

My wife and I havent decided on season tickets yet, but we have seen several plays at this wonderful theater. This isnt New York, but we really enjoy supporting local theater. And Tabard is one of the best. Make sure to order concessions which supports Tabard and a local charity they choose for each play or musical.

What a fun little place! Look for great live music and live theater. But dont order a Cosmo or even a glass of house wine. Those were the only 2 drinks I ordered and both were really bad. I couldnt even drink them. Beers probably ok if youre familiar with the brand. Definitely needs to step up their game at the bar.
