This place is awesome! My daughter loves the program and shes learned a lot in a very short period of time.

Been to almost every major broadway musicals with many repeats so I know the values when I see one. Childrens Musical Theater puts out the BEST value ($20 plus $3 handling fees): Live orchestra, main performers have hand free microphones so the sounds are perfect, the singing has depth, choreography entertaining, the acting, by 8-14 years old kids, is so well done. If ones are on a budget and cant afford big production musicals, the Childrens is a real treat.Time and money well spent.

I have been here for only a few shows, and I love it! Everyone is so supportive there. If your kid is scared of being onstage, the backstage supervisors and directors try their best to help you overcome it. The Rising Stars and Mainstage levels make it so anyone who auditions gets in the musical, and doesn’t get excluded.

Very fun and welcoming experience, but very fast-paced and competitive. Consider doing shows at your school or a smaller company if you have trouble learning material quickly and if youre not open to getting smaller ensemble roles. The one good part about being ensemble is you dont have as much workload so you can spend more time getting to know your cast mates. Theres almost always a show going on so if you have nothing to do after school or during the summer doing a show here is a great way to fill time.

Performer here at CMTSJ (please come see Into the Woods if you can!) and I absolutely love it. Having been here for five years and having performed in eleven musicals, I need to say that there’s nothing bad about this company. The people here are certainly open to new friendships and there is no bullying whatsoever. Also, the Mainstage shows (performed by ages 14-20) look and sound like BROADWAY! I saw a poster of the set for Rent at CMT (a musical I’ve seen on tour) and it was identical to the set on tour. CMT has amazing staff members and they are lifesavers. Shoot, that was a long review, but if you read it all, congrats!

And will inspire all to engage further.There’s a reason why so many of the alum, who accomplished much since, are coming back year after year to give back through performing, giving, teaching and more.I could mention that the experience is Broadway-like for a fraction of the price but that does not convey the quality of what Kevin, Dana and the entire team developed, and what you can take home with you. I frankly believe it’s a much better experience - more intimate, more creative, more exclusive, more inspiring.Whether Bay Area is home, or a special visit, to complete your journey here - come to the CMT for an unforgettable experience to be inspired. They have great programs! Unfortunately there is no windows.

Great company and very welcoming community, if your kid has any desire to go into theater or needs something to do for summer(or doing school if they dont have much going on) its a fun place to be

This is the place ever my daughter loves it here.The people and directors here are so nice. I love love love this place. My family now has a second home called CMT and Im sure if you send your child here you family would too. They have very high quality shows that are worth all the money and hard work with makeup and hair.

Hands down this is the best way to see a show. Amazing value for the dollar, Ive seen major broadway shows with less enthusiasm. If you are a first timer pick any Main Stage production. The talent has grown up in the theatre and it shows.

Best place in the Bay Area to be in a musical, no matter the age. Always quality and professional work.

Very disappointed with performance last night by CMT as they chose to use this as a political platform to degrade and humiliate our president and use to children to do it. Regardless if you support Trump or not, hes our countrys leader and deserves respect. He was voted into office - get behind our country.
