Great acoustics, great shows. It had a old vibe to it. Well maintained theatre. No outside food and drinks. They have a small bar at the front. But I dont like anything they have. Its sad that they dont allow us to get anything and they too dont have a good selection menu. But otherwise its a good place. Staff is friendly, restrooms are very clean. The seating had gallery so visibility is good.
Ive performed for more than 10 years at this venue and love it! The access for patrons is wonderful. Parking around town, lots to see on the way to theater. From parks to museums and more.Beautiful decor, upgraded seats, sound and stage management was amaaaaaaaazing!Lighting too
I loved performing here. Very open space for everyone to get ready and nice seating for the audience.
A Gentlemans Guide to Love and Murder: wonderful and entertaining production performed by talented, budding actors. Everyone did a great job, but the standouts were the two male, lead performers and the two, lovely, female stars. Dont miss this great show in the terrific Montgomery Theater venue!
Fun older place. Good ambience, but acoustics were both muffled and screechy. To be fair, it might have been the mix and not entirely the theater.
Hard to find parking. They have some good plays and the kids are professionals.
Very pretty and well maintained building. Seats are comfortable, and prices are very reasonable.
Great show. Watched My Sont the Waiter
This is exactly the right place for a show. Even the balcony seats are close enough to see details on the stage. Parking is right across the street and very close to the light rail station too. I hope to see more concerts here in the future.
Very good acoustics. Beautiful theater with good seating rows. Outside food and beverage not allowed. We bought a chips packet and beer. Right in the heart of San Jose downtown.
Went to see Super Troopers an Abba tribute band here. Accoustics could have been better
Such a great theatre. Home to the amazing Childrens Musical Theatre San Jose!
It had been many years since visiting the Montgomery Theater. My sister performed in The Music Man in the 70s. My ten year old and I thoroughly enjoyed West Side Story and were excited to see my college friends son Bryce Goodman-Orcutt perform and choreography by Aaron Albano who is the brother of a high school friend. Watching the production was an asset to our visit from 29 Palms, CA!
Emma was wonderful in Charlie brown
Every production that I have been to here has been the best. Not really a bad seat in the house and parking /restaurants are close by. If you park in the garage by Mortons they will validate your ticket but Peggy Sues does not validate anymore.
Beautiful space with great performances from a variety of performing arts groups. One of those rare spaces these days that is exactly the right size, with no bad seats.
Great theater, comfortable seats, dont feel all squished in. Great shows.
Updated interior makes for a good-looking show.
Beautiful theatre with an amazing sound an lighting system.
Grandson performs there. Excellent experience for budding child actors, singers and dancers!
Not a bad seat in the house. Always good prices. And they have some really good shows during the year.
So many great memories here performing with SJCMT, saw West Side Story and it was amazing!!
Great show!
Medium salon size but so comfortable and nice!
Small theatre, sounding system could improve! But almost all seats are good seats!
A quaint theater with good showings and a reasonable cost.
This is the smaller theater in the Theater complex next to the Tech. Its off Market Street. Nice stage and space for smaller productions.
I had a wonderful time. Great place to see art.
