This place is tiny but they have amazing animals! The LoInsect Zoo doesnt even have Bald Eagles! Im so glad we came and will be back to do close up animal encounters. All of the animals seemed content and some were very active or vocal. What a gem of a place!

I saw the really interesting worm with my dad.

My roommate calls our kitchen the insect zoo when no one cleans it for a week. The real one at the zoo is still closed for corona =-(

Hot to see creepy crawlies up close

Great zoo in a zoo. Lots of interesting insects. Indoors. Include a small table/chairs and few torn-up books for random reading time. Right outside is a circle of sand for play.

Mostly kid-friendly. I think for some legal reasons they can’t have some of the more dangerous insects here, but still fascinating.

Very cool place to visit! Inside its a bit creepy, a lot of tagging around and some odd stuff youll find there! The place is abandoned not many people go there less at night, youll should find someone walking around though.

I only really discovered the Insect Zoo about two years ago. The exhibits are upgraded regularly. The photography can be challenging.

They dont have the goliath birdeater anymore, but they still have a lot to see.

Small but fascinating, good place to keep toddlers contained but also engaged. The staff take some of the bugs out from time to time and allow you to pet them.

I was excited to see this zoo but I would expect San Francisco could have a better zoo than this. Its ok but a bit of a letdown in my opinion
