This is a beautiful park in the middle of SF city. We drove to the city and parked our car on Fulton Street. Because of COVID, the parking inside the parks are closed now a days. You can park your car anywhere on Fulton Street as there are number of trails from the street that takes you inside the park. This is a huge park that consists a conservatory, Japanese Tea garden area, kids playground, California science Academy and Botanical garden. We had a wonderful day at the park, had a nice walk, then ended up spending time in the beautiful flower garden, had ice cream and a very relaxing siesta :-). This is one of my favorite spot now to hang out in SF city.

Literally my favourite place on earth, I’ve been coming here annually for over ten years and I don’t see that changing any time soon. All the birds are amazing and the staff are so friendly and helpful, the enthusiasm they show in the bird displays every day is clearly genuine and their contribution to the conservation of endangered species is incredible. I cannot recommend this place enough for anyone who loves animals, if I lived nearby I would apply for a job myself. Keep up the good work, you wonderful people!

This city does NOT have tourism at its best interest! We had a late flight, so we got to the park one hour before sun down. The park is not well lit, please do not ride your bike on a path that deviates from the main roads. The park lacks ADEQUATE lighting! Not safe at all! Plus, drivers here are crazy! Only time we saw a cop was when someone was in a fender-bender. Has the city implemented a massive budget cut from the police department? When we got back to our rental car, we saw a lot of glass from car break-ins. Imagine walking up to your rental car, and seeing that mess, only to be relieved that nothing happened to your own!

San Francisco is a truly unique American city and one of the worlds great vacation spots. Explore its hills, ride the cable cars that climb them, and eat some seafood at Fishermans Wharf. Also spend some time exploring Marin County on the other side of the Golden Gate Bridge, including the picturesque town of Sausalito. The giant redwoods of Muir Woods National Monument are only 30 minutes away and also well worth a side trip.Be sure to also make time for a visit to or even better, a drive across, the Golden Gate Bridge. This monument to modern engineering genius spans the strait that connects San Francisco Bay and the Pacific Ocean. The almost two-mile-long, six-lane bridge connects the Northern California city with Marin County.Opened in 1937, the bridge has a unique, geometric beauty and can be viewed from many areas on either side of its span. Some of the best views are from the Marin Headlands, a hilly part of the Golden Gate National Recreation Area, a national park which includes areas on either side of the bridge.

We loved the Golden gate park! It is enormous, it’s nature is stunning. If you didn’t know it used to be only sand dunes but then the city design a park and every tree there was planted with a purpose. If you want to have a day full of adventure and calmness you can go there and walk around the gardens. Enjoy of the freer and the beautiful sunsets. There are museums you can visit in the park. It is the art, science and a conservatory of flowers. Every museum has its own unique experience that bring you in contact with nature in a different way you have ever experience.I loved the design in all around the park. Depending on the days they will have activities in the afternoon. We went when there was a light show at the conservatory, they had games for kids in the outside gardens and we truly enjoyed playing chess at night. Golden gate park is a must to see!

A gorgeous little getaway, close to the in-laws. I can see my friend and I bringing our soon to be born son here for some mellow afternoons sitting out and relaxing, as well as to do a little bit of exploring. Plenty of places for great pictures. Beautiful large, historic park with vast amenities. Only reason for not giving 5 stars is the lack of more separated bike areas. It is a very beautiful park, but it is not safe. We traveled from Alta Loma California with my family to visit him. While we were walking a homeless man broke a glass in our car with the intention of stealing. Thank God he could not do it. A day at Golden Gate Fields is always a good day. Horse Races run about every 30 minutes on days that theyre running. Its a very casual atmosphere. Parking at the top of the hill can be pricey too- so we park by the soccer fields and walk up the hill.

It is super pretty and if you can time it when the roses are in full bloom then you are in for a treat. Do keep in mind that train thing closes way earlier than you think and no one warns you. So you buy the ticket and you dont get to ride it because you cannot understand why they would close the train an hour and a half before closing. The little store is quaint and has some unique items for the house. They also sell some of the flowers there. Overall a great place to visit but probably that will be the only time.

Large open sprawling area close the the erstwhile named Bridge. The Japanese garden is a meditative place on a weekday and a raucous tourist trap on the weekends. The duck pond near the Japanese garden is a serene place to sit and talk the day away. This place is excellent for a picnic, to hang out or also just sit in solitude and reflect/read. I just fell in love with this park instantly. It is located in the middle of extremely busy city and as soon as you get in, you feel like you have entered a jungle, right out of some Hollywood filmset from 1900s. Well, I know its a little exaggeration but thats how I truly felt here. It is very old, calm and serene. Best thing about this park is that they didnt do much of a construction here and tried to keep it close to its natural habitat, except for installing benches and little bridges to where it was required. I am not certain if the lake is natural or men-made. I wasnt able to differentiate. You would see mostly couples, group of friends and individuals walking around. I didnt notice many children. Its a great place for everyday morning walk as well, if you live closer.
