Stumbled on Bar Lubitsch from an invite to see Melat perform (she did a great job btw!). The concert is in a room at the back of the bar. This room is small and has an intimate vibe. If you are coming here for a concert, the seating for that concert was first come, first serve. I would recommend getting a seat about 30 mins before start time.
Had a fun 90s dancing in this small but cute dance club. The downstairs has a small floor and more table reservations areas. The upstairs requires a wait. We had to get a ticket and wait for our number to be displayed. Once the number is announced, we were allowed to go upstairs where a coat check is also available. The upstairs had a DJ booth and a much larger dance floor with lasers. Was fun shaking to the music of the 90s. Was super crowded and packed. No room to breathe. The wine of this place was surprisingly good.Overall, a good place to shake a leg with friends. But a little tight and very crowded on a Saturday night.
First time at Raven Bar and I wasnt disappointed!! I expected it to be a true club and Im not a fan of the grime that normally coincides with clubs but this was a good mix. Individuals were all pretty much all in the age range of young professionals and the bartenders and service was nice & upbeat, creating a positive vibe. The music ranged from throwbacks and recent hits from the past 20 years and I definitely enjoyed. Drinks were made well. Id come back if I were looking for a night out for clubbing!
Came here to have a good time and thats exactly what happened! Great music and great atmosphere! Erin was great when it came to reserving a section! The bottle service girls were also really nice and pretty too. Would definitely recommend Club db Lounge 100%
I liked this place a lot. Some great things about this place:1. We went on a Saturday night, and the cover charge was 10 dollars, pretty affordable.2. The music while mostly rap, was interspersed with some cool 80s music as well. I’m not a fan of dancing to rap, but Aha’s Take on me gets me grooving every time. The DJ seemed to have good taste in music.3. They’ve two levels—one ground level and the other first level(the VIP level as they call it), so lots of room to dance. Having said that, it does get crowded and you might get pushed around and need to watch where you’re standing or dancing.4. There’s a pizza place not very far from here, so a ready place to eat after you come out of the club.5. Drinks aren’t super expensive, we tried the Velvet Inferno and Raven Mule—liked both of them.I’m taking off a star because the person who was in charge of letting people on the VIP level acted very rudely with us when one of our friends who went downstairs to use the restroom tried to come back up. I don’t know what his name was, but there’s no need to be so rude with your customers. I hope they look into that.Overall a decent experience, would go again if I’m in the area.
I planned a private event for my husbands work holiday party. The Reserve was absolutely amazing at each step of the way. Makenna was quick to respond to my initial inquiry and once we were set to go with them the staff answered any and all questions promptly. They were committed to making sure we were taken care of and happy!
This place is AWESOME!!! Came for my birthday last weekend and was blown away by the venue. Great energy, great staff, good food/drink, and amazing dancing! The dj played great world music and the vibe was eclectic and happy. Ill def be coming back!
Really had no idea what we were walking into when we visited. Initially bummed about the cover charge, but the bartenders customer service definitely made up for it...she was awesome and made our night! Danced the night away and could see everyone else was having a great time.
This pub has a lot of beers and booze to select from. They have the friendliest bartender from town, Henry. Hes so gifted, and he left me a customized cocktail for me every weekend, and it was just the very best! If you would like to become drunk, or only want fun, simply visit this place. I suggest this place.
I went for their Valentines Day party and it was so much fun!!! They have amazing mashups, mixing everything from todays top 40 to classic rock! There was even Village People and Backstreet Boys mixed in there! ;D
Very interesting with all the different science experiments and all... when with a few coworkers...but looks great for date night
Bootie is what SF partying is all about. I stumbled upon Bootie with some other friends and fell in love. The music is amazing, its like opening a present...you think youre getting something but then a few seconds in its something totally different!
Compared to Bootie SF, Bootie LA is a more glam, spacious, and overpriced older sister.I danced if I wanted to. And then we left our friends behind. And then we chilled on the sidelines trying to take selfies which didnt work at all.I drank a good bit of vodka unbeknownst to me, as those drinks were strong. I also paid 5 bucks for a coorslight tall boy, and pretty much hated myself for doing it. Felt a little outlandish- 5 bucks for a tall boy? Sheesh.
A two level bar lounge club that plays classics and top 40s. Pretty diverse crowd. Drinks are not excessively expensive. I order the Jameson on the rocks its $12 and at least double pours. Go early or else the line/wait gets pretty bad
Specialty curated einks and the bartenders were amazing. One of the few places in San Fran that play hip hop music.
Really dope vibe.A bit small but overall really good place. Music is always on point, the wife and I enjoyed the place.Drinks are great always get the Moscow mules here.Just note that not all the bartenders know specifics drinks but will work with you if u know what goes in the specific drink you want.Recommend if its your first time in SF
We loved this place, we are visiting from Germany and loved it. Loved the owner, he’s Italian and wonderful. Definitely will be back!!
Great to go on a weekday, there’s no cover and you have free range to dance your heart out to ‘90s hip hop. It’s a bit crowded on weekends and cover is $10, but it’s still a good time if you don’t want an all-out club experience. They also played Empire State of The Mind here once, so the DJ clearly has class and taste :)
The door folks were very polite and nice. The music was good enough to keep the crowd dancing and having fun. 2 bars, plenty of security and a small but good space. Will come back.
Two floors, top level is more dance-floor like. Bottom floor is more bar-like
Amazing place and the bouncers are amazingly kind! If you ever need any help, they are there!
Great bar! The drafts were delicious and fresh
10$ cover charge. Line was pretty lengthy, but moved at a steady pace. Place is small and has upper and lower levels. Bathroom situation... lines for sure - for both men and women!!! Free coat check-ins is definitely a plus!!! Drinks were good and at an average price! Staff is friendly!Music... Can definitely improve!!! They had a 90s music theme on a Saturday night... and the vibe was all over the place! Lol.Great people-group dynamics though!
Had my bday here and had THE BEST time. The staff was really nice and accommodating, the table was a booth and easy to reserve over email.... also free so five stars for that. The drinks here and amazing, high quality cocktails. Best part obviously was the music and the crowd that just wants to have fun, this is my new favorite bar in the city. Thanks for the good time!
Very cool place, but also very tiny. Definitely not a bar. Its more of a wannabe club. Not for people who actually want to go to the bar.
Great spot. Small but fun
Such an amazing place, the best mojitos I have tasted, respectful staff and amazing dancing. Definitely coming back!
We got a table this past Saturday for our bridesmaids and groomsmen.. and I must say I was thoroughly impressed with my experience from the minute we walked in to the minute we paid the tab. The professionalism and excellent customer service was consistent from the security - to the host - to the DJ. We all came out from CA and I want to thank Boulevard3 for the amazing experience!
Yessssssss LOVE THE THROWBACKS! This place is incredibly crowded on a Saturday night and you may even have to wait to go upstairs (also where the free coat check is) but if youre with good company, I think its worth it. They have great drinks and a fun vibe. Would definitely come back for the music!
Fun spot for a drink, with two bars & dance floors on the first and second floors!
The atmosphere was great. Lots of good vibes. The dance floor doesnt get going till later at night.
Really nice people, they saw we were having a little bit of a crazy night and even gave us waters before leaving, music was good, staff was nice overall really pleasant experience
Used to be my favorite bar/club. They’ve changed, and I never go anymore. Bye Raven!
They have an upstairs and a downstairs the upstairs is the VIP area and it was pretty cool everybody was dancing and having a good time and there was no really too many weirdos the one thing I will say is theres a lot of Asian people, didnt expect that
Great music, crowd is always dancing and having a fun time.Upstairs has an even better vibe than downstairs, though it often takes a while to get up.Drinks are about average price but a little strong.
Celebrated my birthday this past weekend. Amazing time. Got bottle service and enjoyed it with my friends. Service was amazing and the crowd was good. Jax is a great manager.
Bar / 2-story club playing throwback musicThis place is cool because you can reserve tables for free if you’re hosting a birthday, going away party, etc. the crowd is predominantly 20s and asian. They have really cool light fixtures on the second floor with a DJ, but the music there is still throwbacks. Cool small intimate place to go out.
Best place I have been in Hollywood. Great music and crowd. Jax the manager is very fast at responding to inquiries. Loved it.
Cool place and large back room.No pool. Just drinking and cool vibes, at all hours.
Had soo much fun.
Crowded throwbacks on a Saturday night. Club seems a bit trashy which some people might find fun. Free before 10 or 11 if on the guest list. Safe neighborhood.Came back on Thursday which has no cover all night and the place was packed. Probably more packed than that Saturday I described above and just as amazing. Quickly becoming my local favorite.
Wow! What a great place to have a birthday party! We reserved the back room for a birthday and everything was set up perfectly! Signs, a free tiara, and roped off area.We ran into a snag where there wasnt a separate line for the birthday guests, but David took care of us. He made the night feel special and allowed us to expedite our friends in, even with the free reservation. All in all, we had a blast! They gave us a drink voucher, vip pass for next time, and more. Definitely having more parties here! They went above and beyond!
A fun dance club for 80s-90s music (check their website for what type of music for that night). Bottle Service is very reasonable.
Dope 90s throwback music with an awesome dancefloor upstairs. It gets pretty busy on the weekends, so expect a long line at the door and when ordering drinks.
No cover if its your birthday! This is a go to predictable GOOD time.Dance it up all night long. The upstairs is a blast as well :)
It was whatever. I went on a Thursday and wasnt too many people there, especially downstairs it was a ghost town. Its probably better on the weekends Im sure. Decent size place with two floors.
Great music, amazing bartenders
Awesome place, good music and tons of fun!
If you go during the week at night, its usually a nice spot for happy hour. Very few customers, very quiet. Its a bar but feels more like a dive bar. Drinks arent cheap and not necessary outstanding. Staff is friendly.
Responsible crowd when I went
Wooooo, I had such a fun night when I went last year. I will definitely go again if my soul is not too old for clubbing when Im back in CA.
A very fun place
Place is really great...
Made the mistake of coming here because I thought it was Edgar Allen Poe-themed but its just another pop bar for yuppies. The service is good and the place is sharp, but it really didnt deliver on the theme.
I went on a Sunday wasnt busy but good vibes
Not a bad bar overall can get tight on weekends. Average SF priced drinks. Bar in the back is a good option with large groups. The Edgar Allen Poe theme is cool.
Pretty fun, food music. Some patrons should learn manners though
Awesome, but gets super crowded after 1130
Raven is always reliable. Great music, and the DJ plays the music videos too. Friendly staff. Good prices. Fun atmosphere. Solid!
Good fun and craft cocktails
The bar was calling last call at 1 am. It wasn’t nearly packed enough for that. The Lady Bartender was rude to my friend. It was disappointing.
This is a great place to go on a Friday night when you are out with your friends and want to sing and dance to some old school music. Their light system is really good. You will be covered light throughout the club. It is a small place so it does get pretty crowded during peak hours.
2-story club with small dancing area, but good environment and music.
Last Saturday we made it here for the last half of hour of the Happy hour, and at the first bar was Hannah. If you find her its your lucky night. Her drinks were amazing!!! Ill go back just to find her!!
Great space. Awesome staff. Tasty drinks. I hosted a happy hour of 40 people here and Raven Bar was the perfect venue. I will definitely keep it in mind for future happy hours.
I went to this club a couple of months ago. The location on the outside looks sketchy but the overall club was cool (being that it was underground and theyre at least 2 different Djs for different dance styles). The Djs werent the best so Im not coming back.
Decent happy hour, I enjoy stopping by for convenience. I found the bar to be clean and smell fresh vs. some other places around the corner. Cool area outside too.
It was cool until later around 11 pm 1130 then it got so crowded you could not get a drink or get in the bathroom,it got really hot and ac unit in the back started to leak
Nice atmosphere. Good place to unwind
Hosted my sisters bachelorette party at Raven Bar and Im so glad I did. They decorated our booth with bachelorette party decor and gave my sister a necklace and flashy ring. They made her (and the rest of our group) feel so special. They were so accommodating. Cant wait to come back.
Perfect club for a 90s kid with throwback hip hop and r&b music! 10$ cover but the place is kinda small so the lines can get long.
Extremely crowded. Then go to the secound floor is even more crowded
First time to Raven Bar last night. My buddies and I celebrated our birthdays with the full complete table service.
Had my birthday party here and it was awesome. First, you can get a free reservation for a booth, WITHOUT bottle service!! How awesome is that? Plus you get a free private 20-person guest list (read: no cover for your guests) for your event. Awesome again. Ive never been to Raven but the music here is awesome. Who doesnt love throwback 90s pop and hip hop? Awesome time guaranteed.
What an awesome place!! We booked a table for a birthday party and the staff made sure we had a great time! Other than tough to find parking in this area, I cant find anything negative about this place. Highly recommended.
We had bottle service for a birthday. While I cant speak to the price the wait staff was great and very accommodating. The old school music was so fun and while the space was small we still had fun. Ill not sure it would be as nice without a reserved table, tho since it seemed like chairs/tables were all reserved.
DJ that plays edm, 90s music, and r&b? What more do you want? Oh and theres also room for dancing upstairs. I felt like everybody has their birthday parties here. Theres also free coat check, which is greatly appreciated because its so cold in sf. The drinks are relatively cheap so keep them coming
Popular spot on the weekends for a young crowd. 3.5 stars.
I had a great experience with Raven when I planned an event their for work. The owner was very flexible and friendly, he accommodated our guests needs and event gave us a few free drink tickets. The staff the night of the event were hard working and very nice.Since holding an event at Raven I have been back many times. It is great on the weekdays for a happy hour drink as it is quiet and priced well. On the weekends it is a fun place to hang out as the top floor turns into a club. I love the Edgar Allen Poe themed decor and the friendly faces you see every time you enter the establishment. Will definitely be going back!
Love the atmosphere! Great music! Great crowd!
Not a super fancy place or bar with a unique spin, but its always a good time when I come here. There are 2 levels of music and dancing. The music is a great mix of pop and hip-hop from throughout the 90s to now.My only gripe is that its gotten pretty crowded on Saturday nights. The lines can be pretty ridiculously long even after midnight!
Favorite place to get my 90s fix. you will never hear anything other than 90s
It is a cool and cozy bar
The coat check lady was super sweet. We ubered all the way from Berkeley to check this place out because of the 90s music. So we decided to check it out for my sisters birthday. The music was great but the crowd is made up of people from there early to mid 20s. Not the scene I was hoping for considering they were playing 90s music. So me and my sister step out for some air. Security mentions nothing when we step out and when we try to get back in at 12:56 he says we cant enter. I point to the sign on the door that says no entry after 1:15 and told him we had been in earlier and showed him the stamps we each paid 10$ for. He said no entry after 1. I told him it wasnt even 1 yet. He said no we werent allowed in. That basically ruined out night. We tried to come out and have a good time since this place plans 90s music but they dont play by the rules. So we were literally inside for a hour before we ubered our way back home. A real waste of money.
DJ was lit on a Saturday night for my sis bday! Neva did sit down...
Saturday nights at Raven are a must. They have a 90s bash, and of course, the hottest music videos of the 90s. It gets packed, so get there early or just be cool with having to wait a long time for everything.
We had an awesome time at Raven Bar. First, we payed no cover charge because we registered on their website beforehand. It was throwback Thursday so upstairs was an 80s and 90s dance party! The place is nicely themed and the drink prices are reasonable.
Good old school music, guest list until 11pm, but always make sure your name on the GL matches your ID exactly. There is an upstairs area, but with a ticketed system, so you may have to wait to go up. Drinks are well made and bartenders are quick, would definitely come back here again. Also, staff periodically cleans the bathroom, so it doesnt get absurdly disgusting.
Great music!
Excellent, diverse club, great staff, great people! They dont discriminate against olders! They dress to impress, and they have a good time!!
Stopped by on Friday night and liked the music and vibe. The 90s music videos they had playing were an added treat. It was a total blast from the past .FRIDAY & SATURDAY NIGHT- $10 cover after 10pm- Guest list available on their website; it gets you in free before 11pm.- WARNING: There are no in-and-out privileges. If you leave, you have to pay to get back in. Theyre no joke about this policy. I learned the hard way.HAPPY HOUR- Monday through Saturday from open to 8pm- As of this writing, these are their happy hour specials:- Well drinks $6- Draft beer is $5- Wine $6- Specialty craft cocktails $3 off
Was here the day it opened, and the bartenders are still as great now as they were then. A good respite if bloodhound is too full, and a great dance area upstairs in the evenings.
I was told that on weekdays this place is more of a bar and on weekends its more of a club (though to be honest I have only seen this place once during the weekend). From what I did see, it seemed like a casual and fun place to get a drink and dance a little. Upstairs felt more like a faster paced dance party, whereas downstairs had a slower pace and a little more lounging going on.I didnt exactly see the best dancers here, but everyone seemed to be having a little fun and it wasnt so crowded that a show-off couldnt take center stage from time to time.Ill have to check it out again to see if the atmosphere is consistent, though, since Ive only been here once.
Sept 2014 - Popular Asian dive bar. I was there with a big group of friends and there was almost no space to dance. Good dance music though!
Such friendly staff & bouncers. Really amazing to see such fantastic customer service. But....and this is a big but...its so hot and sweaty in there. They need fans to help circulate the air. We would have spent all night there but left before midnight to get air. They dont have a return policy, so once you leave, youre out for the night.
Ravens a solid bar with a good dance area. Ive only ever gone when a friend rents an area (renting is in quotes because as far as I understand they dont charge to reserve) but its always been a good time.
