Laid back. Free to walk about the cabin. And that dry ice cool refreshing mist stuffs that comes out near the disco ball...spilling onto the dance floor....Lily and I agreed it was Happy Gas!

I cant believe this was my first visit! Super fun little dive with fantastic bands. We made the trek from the north bay to check out Jonny Manak and The Depressives, Genuine Parts, and more. Frontside Five was so amazing we went to Oakland the next night to see them again. This place is small, but the sound is good. Drinks are solid, and a decent selection of beers on tap.We found parking just a short walk away, too.

One the best if not the best dive bar in all San Francisco.

A really fun spot that books great bands. The prices are typical for San Francisco. I saw some guys get busted drinking on the sidewalk out front and the door lady was very passive aggressive about the whole situation. I mean sure, they shouldnt have been drinking in the street but the attitude was a little over the top.

This place was badass! I had so much fun, mostly because of the DJ. Booty Basement was spinning, and they played banger after banger for the first hour. Once it got crowded it seemed like they switched to more mainstream jams, but still great music. Very good drink specials and specialty cocktails, seemed like they were big on the tequilas.

The bartender on 02/11/18 ASKED me why I did not tip. Extremely unprofessional not to mention tacky. If this employee is unhappy with what they are receiving they should take it up with the manager — not with guests. I’ve also been behind the counter, and I know first hand the job of a server. But again, never complain to the client. That’s just customer service 101. Apart from that, the music was great.

Since I am such a knockout, I had to check this bar out. Love the location - 29th & mission near some great restaurants and other good bars. I arrived at 6pm - a prompt start to Friday happy hour and the place was EMPTY. But the bartender was great and we chatted for a bit while I guzzled my Root Beer Float with Vodka and extra cherries. So good. Turns out there is Bingo on thursday nights and the Tamale Lady usually stops by on Wednesdays. Good to know.Friends arrived later and we caught up and chatted with background beats that were very nice. The bar wasnt super crowded when we left at 9pm to get food, but looked like it was a hot spot for the locals. DJ was setting up for the night when we left - with an entourage of like 50 ppl. Guess that is how he rolls.

The bartender was the gorgeous hunk of Italy with big baby eyes and an Alien 3 hat. He was about to take me home but then this mean Mexican dood who I think is the owner ...in a fake basball jersy .... He screwed everything up insisting on a 3some. I said no way im racisist. Left imeadiatly but not before doing a karaoke of The Prodigys classic hit Firestarter.
