Nice place to visit if your a history buff. Close to the Golden Gate and its cool all year round

Very nice views from this spot! At night it can be a little creepy but I recommend seeing the bridge from here at night/sunset. The view is absolutely breath taking. A great hangout spot as well. My friends and I would often come here to stargaze and chat while eating food we had brought. The whole area is very non restrictive so it feels like a bit of a open playground to explore. Would highly recommend this to any tourists and anyone who wants to see SF. This is truly one of the hidden SF beauty spots! The drive up from El Camino is also incredible!

It was a cool showery morning but I think that added to the atmosphere of visiting Battery Cranston and the others in the same area. You can just imagine soldiers looking out across the bay for invading forces......that never arrived.The Presidio is a big part of the local history and well worth a visit.

Amazing views over the bridge and the enterance to The Bay. This is an excellent place to explore away from the busy part of the bridge plaza with a fansanating bit of history included.

Amazing view from this point to the golden gate bridge. ALso there are small caves around the place where you can go and see some amazing plants and historical things. At night tha place can be a bit shady as there is no proper lightining.

A great place to come to when you want to escape the crowd on the welcoming center side. Also the view from this side is just as spectacular!

GREAT! I found some spectacular spots downhill, but be carefull, it is very hard to find good way to back up.
