Favorite park, it has good lighting and facilities takes care of landscaping. Kid friendly and pet friendly. Dont walk near dark spots.

There is not much to do in parks in San Diego as space is limited but it is a chill spot (for now until masses fill it up/I dislike being in crowded areas because then you have to deal with people approaching and asking questions like Do you have an extra cigarette? and other bummy b.s.) Which is why I get away from East Village/Downtown San Diego as often as possible.

Public rec center although it really needs some rehab. The facility employees friendly people and the programs are very affordable. There’s also a playground outside the building along with basketball courts

Went to watch basketball game my son was playing...great fun...

This park is actually enjoyable. The park down the street on Imperial gave me a salty taste in my mouth & I was worried that this park would be similar. But, its actually nice & maintained. My son & I love it

My great granddaughters and other family played ball there

The Rec. center is basically non existent, just a building with nothing going on. The park is nice, and big. Rarely crowded and there is a tennis court if it happens to be opened when you get there.

They have made many improvements to the facility. Went to encanto elementary in the early 80s. Good times

I have lived in the area for yrs, I believe the park & rec needs a upgrade. No sand and wood chips but rubber matted instead and better park equipment slides, swings etc

Tranquil. A good place to run laps. Two baseball/soccer fields, basketball court, playground and ample grass area.

Small. But nice recreational center. Coaches care about the kids and value the community.

Trashy around restrooms, couldnt find parking, suspicious people & bumbs wandering around and hanging out. Lots of grassy area & shade. Right by very noisy traffic.

Poor quality of fields.. my kids keep getting hurt in that field due to pot wholes in the grass.. i highly dont recommend this place to play any type of sport
