The drink menu is good and they serve food, as well. They have two stories in their establishment and they contain pool tables, pool equipment, and other games.The service from the staff was really awesome and accommodating. Staff was very prompt in returning with your orders and are friendly and happy to help. A special shout-out to: Gloria and her excellent service.Thank you guys for a wonderful evening.

Food was what you expect bar food. Service was slow it was her first day but wasnt impressed.

No frills place unlike anything else in Gaslamp. Its one of those joints you can go to wearing a hat, shorts, flip flops or even your work uniform and feel totally at home.The staff is always friendly and the GM does everything he can to please customers.If you want stuffy and pretentious... Go elsewhere. If you want a casual atmosphere where you can be you and maybe shoot a couple of pool games... Then Joes is definitely a must visit.

Fun place. Stopped in here to play some games of pool and had a great time. Service was responsive, beers cold, and the pool tables were nice as well.

Used to frequent this place often years ago. Went back for the first time in 8 years and had a good time. Upstairs was closed so I cant vouch for the good billiard tables at this time. 6 drinks and over an hour of table time was less than $60 - great deal for the gaslamp. Will return soon.

Pool tables are always fun. It is 10$ an HR for pool on off hours so a bit $$$ and the drinks are not cheap either. We went during happy hour and still spent a good chunk of change. Staff was nice, bar is well appointed, and the food was actually really good if not a little limited. If you are looking to save money on food in the gaslamp they had great prices on pub fare.

Me and group of friends were exploring San Diego when we came across this place. The pool tables brought us in but we stayed for the drinks and overall vibe. The staff is friendly and you can tell they genuinely like eachother( which really sets them apart from other places) I would reccomend this place as a nice little kick it spot

Place was 3/4 full during comic con, which should have been a clue.Staff were all confused. Saw lots of them running around everywhere but none of them seemed to know what they were doing.Had to ask repeatedly for someone to come take our order, took almost an hour from when we sat down.When we got the food it was meh. Wings were cooked to absolute death and were dry dry dry.

Had some family in here celebrating an event and wanted to do something special for them. Had the good luck of talking with Sam who went above and beyond assisting in sending them a nice bottle of wine, incredibly nice and super helpful. Family had a great time here celebrating, would highly recommend!

Went there after the first night of Comic-Con this year because it was the only place that wasnt packed. The table was filthy and I had to clean it off myself. Havent had bar food in a long, long time but Im pretty sure the last time I had it it was way better than this. $7 for a hotdog that was just something from a pack of eight they boiled on put on a cheap bun. The grilled chicken sandwich was awful and the ribs were dry as hell. The coleslaw had absolutely no flavor to it until I added some hot sauce and salt and then it became somewhat edible. Service was so so but mainly we just wanted to eat after a long day and we should have looked around for something better but how were we to know the food was going to be that bad?

San Diego needs more places like this. Crazy but with character. Besides I cant think of anything better to do on a Wednesday. Go and have fun, I dont see how you cant.

I really like Joltn Joes 2nd floor outdoor patio, its truly a sight to see in the Gaslamp Quarter. The drinks are standard, the food is standard (at best) but that view is a must see!

Horrible place bad service and the place is run down. Here with friends from LA for the Dodger vs SD game and this place was not prepared for the rivalry game when tons of Dodger fans come into SD for the game lots of revenue for the weekend....get it together Jolts and prepare. The Hazy IPA is one of the best Ive ever had. Goes down like a meal. Mega excellent place upstairs for a pool tournament and an art gallery at the same time???!!! Mcfly. Come. The. Hell. On. I am a Norcal guy but SF cannot touch dis...Ok yes the MTV stuff adds up but I guess I didnt have enough beer? Good crew running the tournament on Tuesdays. Tables downstairs are good for drunken networking...

Antonio is an amazing bartender. Also they have at least 5 pool tables and beer pong. Fun atmosphere, not too crowded.

The whole gaslamp district low key reminded me of New Orleans. This pool joint had a great vibe. The bartenders were great. The security at the door was a Steelers fan (plus for me). They have several pool tables and a couple of ping pong tables. The music was great too! A nice mix of old and new pop/hip hop. It wasnt too loud either, so you could chat with your friends.

Average dive. Rooftop is decent.

This is a fun place to watch some sports, have a bite to eat, and just relax. They have pool tables, and an upstairs where you can chill. Staff has always been very nice to me and service has been good. They have big doors that open to the street when it is nice weather. Pretty big inside, gets busy when there is a big game on. I like this place!

The burgers were really good. The service unfortunately, not so great. We waited 15/20 minutes after we sat down before my bf went to the bar for a couple of beers. He asked the hostess about service and a server took our order. Another server told us she has our order but hadnt been told we wanted fries with our burgers. When our food arrived the fries werent there. We asked about them and they were delivered promptly. I didnt feel the quality of the fries equalled the burgers and definitely not worth the $6 we were charged. We ordered another round of beers and waited. Finally a third server came and asked if we needed anything. At that point we just wanted our check, which we requested. He said the manager would be bringing it. (not sure why this was, I hadnt lodged any complaints) The second server, the one we ordered the second round of beers with, came out with our 2nd previously ordered beer. All in all it took us almost two and a half hours to have a couple of beers and hamburgers.

This is the second time it happens, first one was a $37 over charge and now it’s $13, really disappointed and very upset. Please people double check your statements and make sure they don’t over charge, first time it happened to me I went back and talked to the manager (Shawn) he was really nice and was able to fix the problem and return my money. I love coming to this place and play pool have a couple drinks so I kept coming after the issue trusting they’d be more careful but I guess not. It happens again and this time I’ve desided they can just keep the money if they really need itWon’t ever come back to this place again, only reason I put a 5 star is so people can see

Awesome place! I never post reviews, but this place is worth checking out. Had a super cheap cover for a UFC pay per view. Shortly after sitting down, having a beer or two, the manager came by and gave us our cover back, saying it was slow and it didnt seem right to charge us. Too make it even better, the service and food was great!

Missy along with the drink and food slinging team at Jolt n Joes is always super friendly who aim to please. Its a big fun place thats not over run with rowdy crowds and over priced f and b. So if you are looking for great service - ask for Missy in the early hours and go have yourself one hell of a good time.

We were standing outside, waiting in line in the rain, on New Years Eve. The line didnt move for an hour because of the full capacity. This is understandable. Near midnight, one of the bouncers came inside with the patrons and gave the finger to us folks outside in the rain. We left. Screw this place.

They werent prepared for how busy it was. Long waits in line and chaos.

The beer was very good, the one pound burger was good, but the service was below average. They got the order wrong, missing a bunch of items, then charged me for the items at the end. They were nice and fixed it, but I would rather not have had to go through all that.

Ive been coming to this place a lot now. They have plenty of pool tables and drinks. The second floor is filled with pool tables, a ping pong table and they even have a karaoke room.

Dirty, food good service good

Good drink prices, decent place to meet some down to earth females. The guys and I like to go here to shoot some 9 ball. Tables are decent. some of the tables have a slight lean just like most pool tables so you can really pull one over on people if you know how to play the table to your advantage.

I love the people who work here, they are always super friendly. Its affordable and the food is decent. Its one of my go to bars.

Great place for pool if you know how to find it lol

Ive just visited this place. Very dirty inside. Two tables for ping-pong are not operational because of completely torn and dilapidated net and, again, dirt. The advertising of this place is deceptive. The equally important feature of this bar is the absolute absence of a decent beer and other alcoholic beverages. The bartender couldnt serve me any of a dozen sorts of domestic beer I requested. They dont have Californian Sierra Nevada or Kirin, Pennsylvanian Yuenling, none of the beers from Oregonian Deschutes or other breweries, none from Colorado, none from Wisconsin. The bartender offered me something that folks call Donkeys urine, so I had to leave without drinking anything (BTW, we had a corporate party there and drinks were free)! It looks like the owner chose to sell only a junk alcohol that will make you regret of drinking the next morning.

Clean your beer lines. Had to switch to bottled beer.
