This area is not fit for children. Only a handful of times in my life have I seen such a vile place. I got out of there quickly. The smell of marijuana dominated Newport Ave. and there were multiple negative sights and sounds in this area. Honestly, quite sad and disgusting. Only reason it gets 2 stars is because of Hodads and a good ice cream shop nearby.

Im here every Wednesday for the farmers market, and I perform with fire with my friends every Wednesday evening starting around sunset! Weve been doing this for years now, and its turned into a tourist attraction of sorts.Come on out on a Wednesday and experience the best that Ocean Beach has to offer! Just make sure youre prepared to look for parking or come early, get a spot, and spend the day here amongst the seagulls and great people!

Very nice spot to watch the sunset people stand near the wall and clap in the sunsets there are many tourists and locals and bees that hang out and makes it for an interesting walk and it is a nice beautiful spot with the pier right there that you can fish off of 24 hours a day with no permit needed and if you are fishing 24-hour parking for that otherwise of locked closed for parking at 2 a.m. and open again at 4 a.m. but it is an interesting mix of people who have locals you have tourist you have hippies and you have musicians and entertainment artists spinning fire and hula hoops it is a fun little spot if youre spending a day here
