This place is beautiful. During COVID it was sort of strange but overall:1. Two pools. One is heated. Both jacuzzis are off.2. Excellent drinks. Make sure you sit by the fire pit in the outdoor seating area.3. Room. We were in the Valencia and had a great balcony with vaulted ceilings. Its spacious and roomy and can get very cold. Otherwise pretty standard.4. The grounds really make this place. Its really beautiful. Very mediterranean.

What is the point of staying at a nice hotel in the sort of middle of nowhere if you can only spend 2 hours by the pool? Golf?You might not even be accommodated I was told unless you get there early to make your poolreservation.Dodged a bullet there. Be aware.

Nice resort, lots of little touches you dont see in modern places. Facility is older and it shows in some areas.Rooms have that cabin feel and reminiscent of the 80s inside with enough modern flair to not make it feel real old.Staff was friendly only issue was called guest services 2x for random things and they didnt pick up till a long time.Parking is outrageous at $30 a night. There is tons of room for parking at the location it is somewhat isolated and not in a major city. I can see $10 being reasonable. Or how about making it free like tons of hotels in the area.Walking around has an old castle feel to it, really cool...If you want a unique stay, give this place a try!!!

Im the owner of Tayler Ashley Photography and I had the pleasure of shooting a wedding here. What a wonderful spot to get married! Gorgeous scenery, tons of options for ceremony and reception locations. Even though its a popular hotel, the wedding felt so private and intimate.

Room wasn’t cleaned well. Trash from remaining guest was left in room and on balcony. The Avante restaurant was a disaster. With reservations well in advance our outdoor table was in a corner with no light and no view. We requested another table but they refused. Brought over a propane heater for more light which we had to remove because of the heat. Service was horrible. Waited over an hour for our dinner which finally arrived but we then had to wait for silverware. The children didn’t get their milk until after their dinner. One cocktail was awful and sent back. Over 2 hours later the birthday dessert arrived but by this time the birthday boy was asleep.. Our reservation was 630 appetizer didn’t arrive until 730 and the dessert came 840 pm.

Had the best time ever. The spa pool is amazing. You have to try it salt water pool.

Very comfortable clean rooms with great bathroom facilities. Looking out over the golf course its a very elegant and tranquil place. The service and staff are really first class and freindly. Large Patio dining area to enjoy the great food. Nice bar area if indoor dining is preferred. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay there playing on the very pretty, quiet and challenging golf course.

Our first first to this restaurant was to take part of their special dining experience #table65 ... where the chef prepares the food in front of a small group of guests. You can choose to interact with others and the chef or enjoy the evening with your guest, or both! The wine pairing was superb and I highly suggest it for even the snobbiest of wine snobs thank you again Chef Travis for a wonderful evening!

This hotel is beautiful! The rooms are clean and spacious. The grounds are amazing. Green, lush and well maintained. There are fountains everywhere. Fireplaces and fire pits invite you to approach and stay a while. Twinkle lights and lanterns hang from every tree. Its enchanting.There are 3 different places to eat on the property. A coffee shop and cafe; a casual bar/restaurant; and an upscale restaurant. We were greeted with a welcome beverage when we checked in and made to feel special right away. The staff was always attentive to our needs and very friendly. We enjoyed every minute of our stay and cant wait to return.

I stayed here for a weekend. Wonderful place. Breakfast was pretty good too. There was a buffet option or a menu option. Pancakes and omelette shown were part of menu option. Coffee was cappuccino.

Golf Course is open and in good shape. The restaurant was open for dinner out on the patio for us after we finished our round of golf. That was great! Everyone working followed all Covid-19 requirements! Excellent experience!

Stayed here one night, Sunday night early May using American Airlines miles that were going to expire. Great service to check in, loved the room with the vaulted ceiling and Patio overlooking the pool. We enjoyed happy hour in the bar area and played a bar game before having a meal in the bar area at Avant. Joey the bartender, a Cuban through and through, was entertaining and informative with food and drink. My boyfriend also had a drink from The Cask which was delicious. The general manager sets this up and we also had a great conversation with him. We were advised to check out the kitchen Garden on property, so we borrowed a golf cart and toured the grounds after dinner and stumbled upon the most magical sight ever = and impressive Farm to Table Garden. Loved all aspects of this property, especially the Solitude on a Sunday evening. Slept really well in comfortable beds and had a great time over all. We will return since we also love the live music on the patio in the evening. Great vibe. Hidden Gem in the San Diego area

A very nice Spanish style resort. The suites are nice and large with a small fridge and coffee maker. Two sinks; one outside the bathroom and another in the bathroom which is GREAT. Also, the closet is very large and can hold -- Im guessing --- up to 2 weeks worth of clothing. My room also faced the pool area. Theres a nice Cafe and gift shoppe on premises and of course your choice of golf courses. Surrounded by Hills and greenery, its a lovely location where youre sure to get plenty of R&R.

I came here for a conference and was absolutely blown away by this resort. The ground was beautiful and the tasteful decoration added to the luxury atmosphere. The ginger bread house (during the holiday season) was stunning and smelled so good. The staffs were friendly and professional. I feel like a VIP here.

I have heard nice things about this resort never had a chance to visit. Our Anniversary was this weekend so we decided to check it out. The drive was just a few minutes from home so it made for nice staycation. It is nestled deep in a residential area so no fancy grand entrance I followed my map app and it seems to have taken us the back way in. The lobby was nice but not that impressive. We had chosen a room facing the pool on the ground floor and we were able to park our car less than 50 yards away in what would normally be the valet parking. But since no valet was available due to Covid-19 restrictions we benefited a bit. The resort is absolutely amazing it is 265 acres of lush grounds and plenty to do especially if you golf. The Covid-19 restrictions are bad but acceptable considering. You do have to reserve a two hour window to enjoy the pool. They do not offer a full service Spa. We were very disappointed that the check in person at the front counter told us that we could call in the morning to reserve a spa appointment but when we called they said that they are booked up three weeks in advance! So I called Mia the Concierge and she was able to secure an appointment for my wife. The room was very nice I love that we got a little refrigerator that was empty so we could chill our champagne and snacks we brought. I hate those mini bars! You pick up a can of V8 and your credit card gets dinged $18.95 immediately. The beds are very comfortable and clean. Room service was a little pricey we ordered two coffees and one $18 breakfast which ended up at around $50! Oh well we still loved it. The restaurants are both terrific I am posting separate reviews on them. We will be back after Covid-19 is over (if ever) we want to enjoy this place and stay longer even if we pay more they have really good deals now.

The resort was fantastic. Everyone there was great and went out of their way to ensure you have a nice time. Fantastic views as well. They also have a few bars that were nice to relax at, and the food was great too!

Positive: Friendly staff and beautiful lush property Negative: The room we had was very outdated. The shower had old handles and took a while to get to the right temperature. Spiking hot water on random times. The AC took 30 min to circulate in the room, also was extremely loud. The bathtub was covered in sand.

This place is really outdated. It doesn’t look like the pictures at all. All of the food tastes weird... even the most simple breakfast wasn’t edible. I ordered eggs, sausage and potatoes and everything tasted off. Also, I only stayed for one night and had multiple centipedes in my room. I can not recommend this place. Though I will say that grounds are really beautiful. The quality of the room, food and service is enough to make you want to stay away.

From a pure customer service stand point RB Inn is fantastic! I love organizations that work seemliness within the group. This was evident when my wife and I decided to do a Spa Package deal at the resort that included a poolside meal. Both the attendants at the spa and pool were expecting us and let us know that everything would be taken care of which made the experience relaxing and peaceful!My massage was average and overall overpriced but the pool was phenomenal! The server Taco was amazing at the pool and I will be going back to kick it pool side again in the future for sure!

My absolute favorite new place to stay while in the San Diego area for work. Located close to a winery, with charm all around and excellent service. Vicki, our waitress at the patio restaurant was great! Cannot wait to go back in 3 weeks.

Chocolate lava cake was good with the Vanilla Ice cream. Had to have it after watching the movie Chef last night.

Stayed for 3 nights during Covid19. Some ABC sports reporter was staying here too for his anniversary and complained to staff about the restaurant not having bread and butter. The pool required reservations, people let their family and friends in, and the reservations were not really enforced most of the time. When they did decide to enforce it people threw a fit, despite staff telling everyone when they checked in, that they should reserve pool time if they want it. Basically everyone staying here seemed like entitled brats and I was happy the staff didnt put up with it, mostly. My room was okay, had some spiders in it. There was a hair in the shower when we checked in, the beds were pretty hard and it was a long walk to get to our rooms, up and down stairs. The pool was clean during the day but after 7 or 8pm it got pretty full of dead bugs/flowers and stuff. Grounds look like they are not being well kept during covid. Overall, for the price I thought it was below average. I had a fine time though.

Everything was just Perfect. Vickie at the restaurant was Perfect too. Quiet place to spend some time with family or friends. Nice garden. Nice pool and jacuzzi.

This place is one of the best run resort/golf course place Ive ever been to. The spa is fantastic, the golf is great, and the restaurants and bars at the resort are awesome. I spent 5 nights here and was blown away by the service. If you need an escape this is the place to go!

I got to golf! Completely safe. Masks when you arrive. Temp check upon arrival. 1 person per cart. Keep your distance and you dont have to wear a mask on the course.

Top notch service and impeccable fine dining. A must for a meal aficionado. Their cocktails were amazing or so I was told by my wife and my wifes friend. We tried their steak, raw tuna and raw beef, all surprisingly delicious. The desserts were exceptional which complimented the meals perfectly

Always and forever will be our favorite place to stay. I used to live down the street most of my life. Now when I come home to visit we always stay here. The property is beautiful. The beds are so comfortable. The spa is excellent with a great variety of services. The food and drinks are always new and changing and delicious. You must sit in the Veranda one evening as the sun sets. They typically have love music and the fireplace really sets the mood. All of the employees are so helpful. I always hate leaving the RB Inn but know our next stay will be amazing as always.

What an incredibly beautiful place to hold a wedding. My cousin and his wife got married here in August 2018 and it was exquisite and just absolutely beautiful. From the setup to the hotel itself! I would recommend for weddings and vacations!

My RN co-worker who lives locally booked a room on line. She had stayed many times before. When she booked a spa appt they asked her if she has been exposed to COVID. She said she works in a hospital but has had no direct exposure and no travel. They actually told her they could refuse service and cancelled her reservation- refusing to let her stay. Poor choice RB Inn. I definitely wont ever book here. The Hilton gave free rooms to nurses and RB Inn kicked one out. Hopefully this wont happen again.

Popular place for events and golfers.We played golf and had a drink at the 19th hole. There are several other options for dining.The parking and bag drop logistics are complicated. You definitely need to valet park.Pro shop guys were helpful. Course was pleasant to play and in good condition. Bar was full of regulars, and they offer the usual types of pub fare.

It is a very nice property. Awesome place for golf and relaxing. I would have given it five stars except the front desk service was average and a rat ran in to the open door to the outside of the restaurant.

Unfortunately my stay here affected me for a week after leaving. The place is nice I liked the design of buildings and room layout, though my room was located in the Greens building which requires an umbrella when it is raining to get to the lobby or bar. Ofcourse on my visit it rained. The only problem I had that affected my stay and for a whole week after was something with the AC. Probably the filter had never been replaced. I used it on my first night and on the following day my nose was runny and throat was itchy. I isolated to the AC because I tried it again and I would not stop sneezing. I ended up leaving the balcony door open for the rest of my stay. Though it appeared that the damage had been done. At the end of my stay I had lost my voice and my nose was stuffy. It took about a week to get better after using daily nasal sprays to clean my sinuses.

Spent some great times here in my childhood. I miss it

Gorgeous resort tucked away with top-notch service. Stayed here for a company conference and was fortunate enough to enjoy the beautiful meeting spaces, restaurants, bars, and facilities.

This is a beautiful resort, I will hopefully be able to present a proposal for I Love A Clean San Diego to the general manager soon. They have a great staff and cute little cafe gift shop. A really cool donor program I love.

The grounds are attractive. The room was comfortable and we had a fairly large flat screen TV. I like the quality of the toiletries. We were there for a conference and most of the food was very good. Personally, I found most of the pastries to be overly sweet. The room we were in was nicely decorated and there is ample access to electrical outlets and USB ports. The Internet connection was not always as available as we would have preferred, but we could generally get by. Self-parking spots can be hard to find, but they do have valet parking available.

Best Christmas dinner ever, and among the finest meals ever. Absolute top service and ambiance. Well worth the price. The chef uses the finest of ingredients in an innovative fashion that surprises the palate so delightfully that its tough to eat slowly. Yum. Wish we were just sitting down again.

Must have the salmon salad. I need to go back when Im not with clients and can relax and enjoy a good drink and live music. #clydeafornia

Rancho Bernardo Inn is a great property that never disappoints. We went to their Santa event and got a great family picture with such beautiful decorations throughout the property. We had dinner on the patio and really enjoyed the food. Every time we go whether its for an overnight stay, brunch, dinner or a special event, they always have wonderful service, delicious food and a beautiful atmosphere that you just cant beat!

We’re not sure why this is promoted as a 4 star hotel. We’ve stayed at nicer 3 star places. Staff have been wonderful except for the first night when we put our names in at the Veranda restaurant at 7:20pm told that we had a half hour wait, but would still be in before 8pm when they stop accepting guests. Well we waited the 30 minutes then we got a phone call at 7:50pm telling us that the manager said they would not be able to take us in after all. Not a good start to our three night stay. We had to move quickly and drive somewhere still open for dinner. The TVs in the rooms are old. No casting, and every time we actually found a movie to watch on live TV, it turned out to be a different show like Star Trek instead. It became a joke for us. So frustrating to have lame viewing options. Again. Why the 4 stars? We found out that some rooms had newer TVs, but we didn’t know that we had to specify a newer tv. They offered to move us, but we didn’t want to waste anymore time. The spa website makes you think you will get a massage in the nice rooms outside, but hubby and I were taken into indoor boring rooms. Again. Ask specifically for this option if you prefer. They offered to switch me, but again, I didn’t want the hassle. Massage itself was nice. Spa pool was great. No jetted tubs in rooms. Just a soaking tub. Beds are super uncomfortable. I spilled my mimosa at breakfast trying to swat away a fly, and they did not even ask if I wanted to get another drink. Nice grounds overall. Starbucks coffee on premises. Illy coffee at Veranda. AVANT restaurant was a bit of a disappointment. Don’t get the chocolate cake. I literally had better chocolate cake from Vons down the street. Front desk was super sweet and sent us a special amenity after our first night of disappointments. Thank you front desk staff! You made a lack luster hotel pleasant.

Dated but nice. Staff are great. Rooms are spacious and well planned with Keurig coffee makers and mini fridge included. Its just a little on the noisy side; acoustics arent the greatest.

Elegant, great wait staff, amazing food. This place is a hidden gem. From the dining, to golf, to the spa...Will be back for sure. Great live music in the bar on the weekends are a touch of class.

Lovely surroundings, golf course, excellent rooms, family pool and adult pool, attentive staff...and extremely child friendly. Delicious restaurant and bar. Highly recommend...

Beautiful property! Ive been here a couple of years in a row, for a good tournament charity event and its been a delightful experience, each time. The brunch and dinner buffets are great and the golf course itself it gorgeous.

I stay at the RBI regularly on business and it is without a doubt the best hotel in the area. The property is spectacular and well maintained. Food is always good whether its a quite bite after golf on the patio, or a formal meal in the dining room. The steak I had last time I was there was one of the best I have ever had (and Ive had a lot of steaks!). Golf course is more challenging that it looks and easy to loose balls so bring plenty extra. The rooms (bathrooms in particular) are a little dated but they are clean and have all the essentials. Ill be back again next month
