3.5 stars for this visit. Usually this Michaels is fairly well organized, clean and has a good amount of variety... that wasnt my experience during this visit. Lots of items out of stock and disorganized. Consider ordering online for instore pickup for a better experience

Do not order Curbside pick up unless you are ok with waiting 6 hours+ to pick it up. I ordered a day ago and still havent received an email. I called the store twice and each time they say they are currently working on my order. Very frustrating. You are better off walking inside to pick up your own items.

Super awesome craft store. I havent come across something Ive need that they havent had! Only complaints I have is the workers are hard to find when u need help, the checkout line is super long with only 1 or 2 people working the cash register, and the close super duper early!

Its a great store, but it often seems picked over. The store has nice staff and a lot of entry level items to get crafty. I like to watercolor and this store is in my neighborhood so I will go if Im in a pinch for a brush, pencil, or whatever I need. I often leave disappointed that the selection of brushes and watercolor notebooks are picked over, out of stock, and/or never reordered.

This Michaels store was quite and Clean. The customer service was great they answered my questions and helped me get what I needed. And it wasnt full of customers.

I work at a school as well as volunteer on many boards within my community & this Michaels is my go- to spot! The prices can be good if you have a teacher discount or any coupons. But, I have found some pricing to be pretty high! Most the staff is amazing & know their store & products however, there are several who have no clue whatsoever.... overall a good place!

The store was nice and clean. I did not use the restroom so I dont know how that was or if they even have 1. There was enough staff to help although we didnt need much help.

Crafts. Art stuff. Framing. Lots and lots of cool craft stuff and ideas. Not enough help ever on the floor though. Use the online coupon. The only reason I ranked a 3 here is because the company is obviously too cheap to hire or have enough employees scheduled for the floor to help people with questions!

We went to pay but had forgot one crucial item, (the main reason we went to the store) the lovely woman at the register said for us to go ahead and grab it while she rang up our other stuff then added it when I returned with the item she was very nice and helpful even telling me exactly where to go to get it quickly. Thank you.

They have such a wide selection at this location

Its unfortunate they would sell me a christmas tree that was returned or used. I was able to figure this out, upon opening the box the tree was not in the plastic bubble wrap, the base had scratches on it, indicating it was has been put together and taken apart. The lights didnt work in the middle. When I wanted to exchange, the store didnt have any available. I went to a different location in El Cajon and they were able to accommodate me and when I opened the new box, everything was wrapped and no scratches at the base. I wanted to give a one star but the people were nice.

Michaels always has the greatest prices, the best selections and no matter what Im looking for, its guaranteed to be on the shelves.The problem is getting out with only what I first went in for!

I always use the coupon. Went there to get the store brand paint pens that said fine print on the package but its not fine. Its ok I will make due but maybe should look into this. Than again maybe its how fine they can get as paint pens not sure. And I got some awesome black canvases for 4 for$10 special.

I always like Michaels because of the wide variety of ways that I can stretch my imagination - Michaels is a place that allows you to do that!

I shop at several Michaels in California. This one seems to be much less crowded than the normal ones but the store is also much smaller in size. I feel that the Isles are much narrower and its harder to shop when theres a lot of people around. Theres not a lot of room for shopping carts either. The staff here is friendly and helpful and the store is neat even the night of the Thanksgiving Day sale.

Had a gift requirement for a birthday and wanted to create something. With an idea in mind I went to Michaels and started wandering. I had it in mind to spend a certain amount and what I ended spending was literally half that. The staff were a little less attentive, but it was an hour before closing, so I can appreciate them trying to get ready to close. Seriously though, great prices for awesome items.

I posted a one-star comment three days ago and it has disappeared !It was about the bags of ribbon scraps that contain only 14 pieces when the bag says 15. It seems that I have touched a sore spot ! Lets see if this comment will disappear too...

Good place to get crafty stuff!

I and my wife mainly go here for art supplies but this is more than that. You get a variety of photo frames, house decors and much more. You have more options than any other art stores. We find this better organized than blick-arts. Also, you have the order online and pickup at store options which you gives u the best of the online deals as well as quick pickup. A boom for those like us, who find that we are missing some brushes / props after starting a work and hate to wait for the delivery.

These guys have decorations for everything, birthdays, weddings, Halloween, Xmas. The store is packed with cool things top to bottom, and their prices are really nice on the wallet.

I like to do plastic canvas. The store offered very little in this area. Other areas for my shopping were fair in stock. I had to go to another store to finish my shopping.

Its Michaels. The industry standard for craft and hobby shops. This one is small, packed with stuff, and the kids running it seem to know a lot less about the products and what they are used for. I like their arrangement of cheap last minute items as you are heading to the checkout - you can find some cool stuff and be inspired to make more.

Huge selection of supplies. Really nice employees who are knowledgeable of their stock and its location. Very nice shopping experience every time.

I have been shopping at Michaels since the store was opened in the Clairemont Square. I have been an artist my whole life, through all kinds of mediums. Whatever kick I get on, a trip to Michaels is always in order. Yesterday I was looking for a 6th grade graduation, and craft projects I could do with my 2+ year old grandson while I am in Boston visiting. The time before, I was baking...got all kinds of professional baking tools. Over the years I have knitted very badly, made hats for babies in NICU, painted anything and everything, made wedding and prom corsages, calligraphy, beading, diamond dot painted, sewed, sketched, and raised two sons through every project K-12 threw at us. (Both my sons came out fine, even with the crazy art stuff. Thats just the shopping! The service has really been great, especially in the last decade. Finding help is pretty easy, lots of staff on the floor. When the lines form, the checkout area goes from one register, to 6 or 8! The staff is easy to talk to, friendly and upbeat. The free childrens projects in store are great with a craft to take home. The inventory is beefy, I dont remember any out of stock signs, or the shipment is unpacked, late, or didnt send that specific item. Many folks want to hear the downside of everything. My attitude is that repetitive great service is the norm. Everyone makes mistakes, has a bad day, misunderstands...Our human nature insists on goof ups. In closing, I forgot about model airplanes, balsa wood towns, glow in the dark poster boards, velvet painting, mad-libs and good books. Janet

This is the standard craft store. Lots of fun stuff inside. Get ready to get your crafty on!Oh, btw, if you need to use the restroom, be prepared to wait, they dont have much staff at that location and they hafta let you in. But, only after you press a Red Button. Yes, this is a *good* red button to press. No dying or end of the world - just an employee to open the bathrooms.

Usually the staff at Michaels is ready and willing - unfortunately the team here seemed to be bothered by questions vs. ready to answer them. And there are a few better deals on similar items around the corner at the 99cent store.

They have a really great selection for any kind of crafts. We went looking for molds, resin, beads, glitter, stickers and slime supplies. They had everything we needed. Check out was really smooth.

Store is clean and has decent stock but its noticeably crammed into the location chosen. Recommend looking online before heading in store as Michaels is pushing only certain supplies to brick and mortar stores.

Minimum pastel or art selections other than paint. No tools. They are about equivalent to Hobby Lobby.
