Ive been looking for a park to train and jump rope at in San Antonio. Most places dont have lights, are crowded, or are closed off to the public for one reason or another. Others charge admission or are actually privately owned. I am thrilled to have FINALLY found a place I can train at. Wil be coming back time and again. The calisthenics area is one-of-a kind.

Always came here as a child.Brought my kids to play, but not very much shade. Also a lot of homeless hanging around the park.On a brighter note the field is big,the court was clear,and there is two volleyball nets located near the playground.

My young granddaughters and I did not feel welcomed at all. People stared with contempt instead of the usual friendly acknowledgement that humans give one another....especially at a public neighborhood park. Southside SUCKS!!

I enjoy walking 5ks in the park. The trail is 0.62 miles per lap, has good lighting, and is kept clean. However, its pavement, not wide enough, and has lots of cracks.

I really enjoyed this park for my first time here the only thing it needs is shade above the playground for sunny days but it has so much to do, basketball and volleyball, it has a baseball field, and workout equipment

The park ia pretty clean and it has a good amount of people walking and kids playing in the fields to make me comfortable to walk the track, but the track itself needs work. The pavement is really broken in some parts and there are lots of cracks and pot holes. I wish that the city would fix it up as much as it is used by the community.

The earlier you go the better. Its safer, less people. There are a lot of cracks on the pavement.

I enjoy going for a walk and jog at this park everyday.

A good place to go walking or running

I like this park for an early morning walk around the track. Not too many people and peaceful. Its clean and taken care of.

Great park the kids loved it, plenty of room for parties and events. Wheelchair access Volleyball, basketball,Soccer, work out area, walking/Running, bbq pits and tables, clean bathrooms, Inside basketball areas.The only thing this park needs is a bigger playground or another addition for bigger kids, because currently there is only a very small playground for like 2 to 5 yrs olds and its Not safe because the big kids want to play on it and end up pushing around the little kids!Also in need of more swings.Staff is very friendly and helpful.

Really nice peaceful park to walk.

Over the years living one street away from this park Ive been able to watch it progress into a really nice area that is now family friendly, well lighted at nights and for the most part, stray animal free. Im still not 100% about taking my dog for a walk here but in time who knows.

The asphalt has too many big cracks I could put my foot into its dangerous.

Small loop, seems to be between .6 mi and .7 to complete one lap. Although its not very large it has stadium lighting so that you can do a quick jog or take the dogs out for a little well into the evening. It is especially convenient during the winter months when the sun is gone by 5:30/6 pm. Theres a water fountain for dogs, a play set for children, basketball court, and a covered workout station if youre familiar with the workout equipment areas throughout the city parks.

Nice park to take a walk in, take kids to play on swings, or play ball. I went for the purpose of cardio but I found that it was just so busy around the area that I couldn’t really do my meditating that I like to do when I do my cardio.

Kids had lots of funny. Nice and clean area.

I like taking my granddaughter but I would recommend they have some signs that read no dogs in kids play area. You never know if a dog will get triggered and attack a small child.

Its an excellent place to walk...run... jog...I loved it...but do it in the morning before the sun comes out!!! JS...

Park is okay. Picnic tables are not covered so youll be directly under the sun. The track is a half mile walk/run/jog. Has a volleyball area. Wasnt dirty so thats a plus.

Had a good time with my family.just needs to add more swings.

Great small park, basketball, sand volleyball, small playground, plenty of grass to play, 1/2 mile walk around... perfect for some exercise

Decent size with many physical activities to do they have indoor and outdoor basketball court. If im not mistaken its byob..all. If not they have some basketballs there for a collateral. A nice track, got to a mile and thats as far so i only know it goes a tad more l. And If your Pokemon go user,it has a Pokemon gym

This park is clean w a dairy Queen right next door.. check it out yourself. Its nice

Great park. Paved path for walking or running. Well lit. A great little outdoor gym area, basketball court. Indoor gym. And plenty of area for groups to practice for football, soccer baseball, softball. Family friendly for sure!

I went everyday this week (July 7-13th), and the best time to go in the afternoon is 5 pm. I know it is still hot outside but by the time 7:30 rolls around, the track is way too crowded. All the rude people and the slowpokes come out. People on bikes will run you over or run you off the track. They do not say sorry either. All the slowpokes will block your way. They do not care if you are biking or running.On the account of stray dogs, there are a few dogs that come around. Unfortunately, the 3 encounters I had with my dog, those strays aggressively charged at us. Thankfully, I wasnt alone. Another jogger helped fend off the strays.Overall, a decent park/track. There is usually people there so feeling isolated and vulnerable is not really an issue. Its better to come at a time when no one is there.

If your looking for an intense walk or run this is the spot not to mention the scenic views of parts of the trails the park area for kids very nice as well you wont regret the trip.I did not have the stamina to go through all the areas but Im working up to it .️ Like I said its pretty intense be sure you have good comfortable shoes. Wish I had pics but you have to experience this for yourself sunrise is amazing .

.62mi walking trail, volleyball net, water fountains(including for dogs), playground for kids, basketball court, baseball/softball field, soccer nets, plenty of parking spaces, shaded workout machines.If only the playground also had a shade canopy!

Beautiful place to go for a run theres pleanty of shad and restroom s are clean.

Walking my dog on a leash and 2 stray dogs attacked her. One dog had been in the park for at least 6 months that I know of and he was aggressive but kept his distance.

Come here to walk around the track and exercise often. I like the fact that nobody bothers you and they have a clean restroom and water faucets. It is well lit and seems safe to go in the evening as well..

The park/path is fine.... Just...Everything in the playground area felt/looked dirty.

I went around 7:90pm it was already dark. Arnold park was very nice but they do need to put up more lighting on the walking trails some spots were very dark,,
