One of the most beautiful buildings in San Antonio. The auditorium is the most acoustically perfect auditorium in Texas. Only one building in the United States has more Italian marble than this place, the Supreme Court building in Washington DC
Nice facility, though ramps or an elevator would be helpful to the elderly.
Great architecture!!Ive only passed by this building about a thousand times and not sure what the inside looks like BUT the outside gives it an important, old-school, sophisticated look...the newspaper press, Fed building, Emily Morgan, FD Museum and Alamo are a stone throw away.
Nice venue for concert bands to perform
What a Beautiful place!! The stage is Amazing and the decore is Beautiful!!wish it had more outlets in the ballroom and elevators, Other then that, its Perfect.
No elevator for people
Very old ornate theater. Very beautiful. Definitely can feel its old. Felt like an opera theater.
Amazing part of San Antonio history. Call to find when there are tours. Historical exhibits that include part of the roof of the original Alamo roof. A fascinating view of part of the Masonic Lodge in Texas.
An amazing place for a meeting with a unique history.
Beautiful building but undergoing some remodeling maybe? Or it needs to have some work done. Beautiful architecture inside and out! Lots of stairs!
Historic-type building. Excellent venue for boxing, theater, and concerts.
Fun place! Love the architecture and design. Theyve maintained as much as possible.
Despite three beautiful historicity and architecture of the place, the disrepair and neglect overtakes some of its beauty. The ceiling - sky in the auditorium captures interest with its faint outline of constellations of astrological signs. The biggest challenge, making it unsuitable for any gathering of over 20 people is the toilets. Signs tell you to hold the lever for 2 minutes in order to flush, I held it for longer has I heard the water rise to the pressure before it finally released for the flush. It increases the possibility of long, slow lines and inoperable toilets. Go for the architecture and history, but dont expect much beyond that.
Beautiful building.
Waited an hour outside and never got seated. Ushers and security officers had no idea where the seats were located. Seats were old and hard to read with old labels falling off. Food and drinks were ridiculously expensive. $7 for a 10oz beer. $3 for a bottled water. It felt like an inside festival.
Nice venue with beautiful theater!
Its a family oriented place to visit
Its a cool theater, but not ADA compliant. Oh and the seats will kill your butt if you have to sit long.
The best five dollar meal in town
I liked the fights, but the Theatre badly needs renovated.
Is not handicap accessible too many stairs. And no phone reception in the building
Such a nice place. A/C works great there
