Last night, my husband and I went here and it was SO MUCH FUN. We only had an hour to go through all of the rooms and we thought an hour wasn’t enough! There weren’t many people there at all for a Saturday, the girls at the front desk were constantly cleaning surfaces and high-touch objects, social distancing was happening, and the rooms were just amazing. As for masks, the front desk employees explain to you that you must wear a mask and the only time you may take it off is when you’re taking a picture. Definitely worth the money and I wish we could’ve stayed longer!
So saddened by how its changed. We went exactly 1 year apart so August 2019 then August 2020. There has been a decline in service unfortunately. Our first experience was immersive, every one had specific time slots which meant no crowds and a great experience in every room. When we arrived we were told of the Wonder Chamber experience and wrote a note for the wall. There was maybe 2 or 3 other couples our first time so it was quiet and you could enjoy 1 room fully. This year with covid we thought for sure they would extra adhere to the time slots but the complete opposite happened. It has become a free for all. The people working there spent more time in the back area chatting than paying attention to who was entering. There were multiple people in the rooms and we had to embarrassingly ask a group of girls to leave after they stormed the room we were in and began taking pictures while we were still there. There were people now waiting watching you take pictures in a line bc they werent going to the different room. The rooms are great and youll get an amazing picture experience but the Wonder Chamber has lost its special factor and now seems like a mall attraction. I hope they go back to what made them unique and special. Adhering to the time slots would be a great start.
Great place, almost a hybrid between a museum and light show. Love that you can customize the lighting in each room
Rooms a very well decorated and lit. I’m giving it 1 star because there was no social distancing and no one was wearing a mask. At one point there were 15-20 people in the same small room and no one had a mask on. No one working there is cleaning or disinfecting any of the rooms. In Austin they have a wonder space set up where they have great social distancing and staff cleaning and disinfecting the rooms. This place needs to learn from them.
They had time blocking for entry (theres entry fees which you can pay for on the website). We got a 7-8PM and it wasnt super crowded, but there quite a lot of people. Most of the rooms were super photogenic so it was quite fun!
Very nice place and neat atmosphere. I cant imagine going more than once because theres not a ton of rooms (but they change them up every season) but its a great place to get creative with photography and hanging out with friends to take some cool pictures.Experiment with angles and lighting and close-ups in all the rooms and youll find its pretty worth the price for the amount of photos you can take in the hour you reserve. The staff is very friendly and I recommend going on a slow weekday to minimize wait times in rooms, my friends arrived late and they were nice enough to move my reservation to 30 mins later. I ended up staying a little longer than the hour because we took a ton of photos and the staff didnt care because it was so slow.Definitely recommend going at least once with friends and a nice camera.
This place is great! Robbie went above and beyond to make sure we had a great experience! Will be coming back
The rooms are great and you can get some amazing pics! But the only downfall is they overbook the time slots. It was very crowded and people don’t follow the six feet rule or only one party per room. With covid going on it did make me very very anxious. Other than that, pretty good!
Took my daughter for her 13th birthday since covid its hard to plana party. She is really into art and photography and had a blast! We took and posed for tons of photos! If youre into that kind of stuff check it out!
The staff was great but there was way too many people in there at once. You felt rushed and embarrassed with all these people staring at you. Social distancing was not really in place because it was just way too many people. The decor and rooms were great.
It was such a cool place. Took some beautiful pictures of my little girl. Children under 3 are free which was very nice. Was a perfect place to take a toddle for cutr pictures and some entertainment.
This place was a waste of money there are about 8 or 9 rooms or exhibits. They are very small and it looks way better on the internet. You can literally run through all the rooms in 20 minutes. Very disappointed and not worth $27
Did a music. Video shoot here and it was amazing!!
Pretty neat for a one time visit. Not very clean and there’s no care for social distancing. They don’t clean or disinfect like they should. The rooms are neat but it’s very chaotic and hot!
Great place to have fun and take pics
Not even open till the time they say they are. the worker closed the place at 7:30
It is beautiful for pictures, definitely recommend to come with friends rather than family, the only reason it’s 4 starts instead of 5 is because it can get crowded in there
Fun but too many people
Usually the admission fee is $20 but it was a Kens5 event so we only paid $5 that day. Isn’t it awesome. You just have to download their app.
This was SUCH an awesome place to take pictures!!I love the awesome unique rooms and the fact that all the rooms are interactive in their own ways! They even have a secret room that you have to try to find! The staff is amazing and always ready to take pictures of you (I went alone) and got so many amazing pictures! The music played throughout the entire museum is really good and sets the mood for the entire experience. I really recommend coming into Wonder Chamber. There are so many options and pictures to be taken!
Definitely would recommend coming here! You WILL have a blast! I was in San Antonio for vacation and good thing I came across here. It was so much fun & the staff there is AMAZING AND SUPER FRIENDLY! I rarely write reviews, but I had to do it for this fun place. Love all my pictures I took!
Wonder chamber is a wonderfully interactive experience that I have had the pleasure of going to! I absolutely LOVE the rooms, even the secret room ;)!! All the rooms are thoughtfully created to give you a great time and great photos!!The staff are impeccable with great customer service. They also take amazing photos just in case you want a group photo!I recommend this place to anyone looking for a good time it’s really worth the $$
I love this place been here 2 time with my friends Im definitely coming back during Christmas time cuz they have different themes in every room for the holiday or season. Great place to take pictures with family and friends
Had fun . It was $28 get in. Had to wait to go thru due to all the people in there.
From the second I walked in I was captivated by the unique rooms that you cannot experience anywhere else in San Antonio! I totally recommend for anyone looking to take high quality photos or just finding a place to have some fun! The staff is so friendly as well!
I liked taking photos there, but they need more themes
Really enjoyed our visit and got several good images!
Very very nice place
Not worth the price.
I love this place!!
Fun photo rooms. Easily enjoy an hour in here.
Its ok but the pics they use on the site are apparently done with professional equipment and lighting. Unless you have those, the lighting will not be worth it in most rooms. Nice concept and worth it if you have those requirements.
Its a must to visit if you are wanting to get great selfies.
Amazing experiance
Wonder Chamber is pretty neat. My first Pop Up museum. I’ve seen other Pop Up Museums advertised like MeowWolf.I JUST THINK that Wonder Chamber is over priced for what you get. $58 for my boyfriend and I for a “12 room” experience. Technically not rooms, some of the rooms are split by a wall and it’s just considered a room or it is a hallway that is a “room”. Tickets are $28 per person. All the rooms are on one floor. Like I get it this is a local business, but I don’t believe it’s worth the $28. Like you pay about $12-16 for the Zoo and I’d rather go to the Zoo or travel to New Mexico to MeowWolf.Good Pop Up Museum but shouldn’t be worth that much money. Price points should change.
Very Dope Spot!!!
