We signed up inside and bought the most popular package that comes with the T-shirt. We picked out our shirts and head socks. The wait was about 10 minutes then a brief orientation of about 2 minutes on the track flags.We picked our helmets, got assigned our cars based on our sign up. We got out on the track and then had 12 laps to get the fastest time. Fastest lap wins!After the race we got a paper with the results that they print for you to keep. My partner got motion sick so we didn’t do our second race.My favorite thing is that races don’t expire and they are accredited to your account. So we can come back whenever and use our race. They also give you a free birthday race!

We chose K1 Speed as one of our activities through our San Antonio Explorer pass. Neither of us had done the high speed go karting so we didn’t know what to expect. It was fun and pretty fast!!! I would do this again with a group of people I know. I took away a star because we had to wait almost an hour because of a kid’s birthday party. I wouldn’t have minded waiting for a bit but thought the time we waited was excessive.

Expensive as all heck, would not recommend. You may probably, definitely and infinitely be better off just buying a go kart second hand and using an empty lot as a time trial track. Jesus Christ, my wallet will never speak to me again.

This place is a great place for a birthday party. Its a little expensive, but worth it. Big kids, little kids can all have some fun here. They have party rooms, pizza, wings and a beer bar. If you have that need for speed and want to show up your friends this is a good way to do it without getting in trouble with the law.

It was amazing I had so much fun on the go karts. The track was great you got to go around alot more times than I expected they would let you which is a big plus for me. Had a ball.

Great experience! My son has autism and they were so patient and kind. Jarred was very helpful and helped my son be calm and have fun. Erica was also so accommodating and nice! It would have been a horrible experience were it not for these two! My son had a melt down and they assisted me in calming him down. Went above and beyond their call if duty. Dont get me wrong k1 is really fun! Ive been there many times (the one in California). I went for my birthday on November 19th because they sent me an email that said one free birthday race. I was like sweet!So we get there and the lady at the front ended up telling us that I had to buy a race to use my free race. So my bf was already gonna buy a race to join me. But then he would have had to buy 2 which is 38 dollars. Plus the race I would have had to buy 21 dollars. Plus 7 each for the membership apparently. (I didnt know about that). It was supposed to be a race only spending 21 dollars between me and my boyfriend which ended up 73 dollars. Which I didnt pay. We left because I dont do business with companies that change the rules like that. The email DID NOT say anything about buying an additional race. The website did not either! Which I checked the fine print for this reason. I didnt see anything. The girl at the front desk did say it was a recent change but thats not right. It should apply to those future months. If you sent me an email in the month of November for a race in November then Novembers birthdays shouldnt be affected by the rule change. Thats rude! False advertisement! Ill take my money elsewhere. Dave and Busters was fun runner up.

The short chubby lady In the reception is very rude and treated us very badly the whole time. The lads were polite and professional but the lady was very incompetent. I don’t get how she was hired by such a reputed place.

We went here for part of a bachelor party, they had a great package and so it was a whole tournament style for the races and everything! These are fast karts and much faster than you expect because of this there is no bumping. You get a much more realistic experience here and it was so neat to see where you ranked all time!They make it so easy and great for group events I highly suggest you give it a shot!

Had a great time driving in the non league, for fun. I did vary well and desidded to compeat. What cry babies, said I drove to aggressive. I had to let them pass? They said I drive like a Nascar driver, Ill take that as a compliment.

Probably the best go karting place in SA but that’s not saying much. We did 3 races and every one was several slow cation laps because of bad drivers. We also had to wait in the cars for over 20 mins each time

I went here for my first time somewhere on 2019 summer and the staff were so friendly and the karts are very fun to ride! The only main reason why I didn’t give it a 5 star because one of the racers were so rude and I accidentally crashed to one of them because I turned early from a sharp turn and ended up into a accident from the side of the racer’s kart really hard plus after the crash the guy who worked there on the tack ran immediately towards me to check if I was ok which he was very friendly with a good heart. Then after the race was over while I was exiting the gate I heard one of the rude racers were talking about me behind my back of what I did on the track and I apologized to the person who I crashed into but didn’t seem to care or accept my apology and just walked away around me....

My twin brother and I frequently race at K1. We both agree the experience is much better than at Andretti’s. Freddy, Sadie and Christian are always a big help when we go. Freddy is always a courteous and helpful front desk attendant. Sadie is a great track operator and is super friendly. Christian can help you better understand the track if you’re trying to gain faster lap times. It’s always a good time at K1!

Absolutely FUN!! A friend of out of town and I went for the 1st time not really excited because we were thinking it was like go karts when we were kids. So we just got 2 rounds each.After the 1st round, we went and got the 3rd! ALWAYs get the 3 rounds!!I do want to give a few words of advice, these cars go FAST, and crashes happen. Please keep that in mind if you have any type of neck or back issue. The carts a built very good at taking impact and you do get a helmet so its pretty safe, but these go carts are not joke! They go fast. They are not what we use to ride when we were kids.So remember! Always get 3 rounds and these carts are super fast!! This is an awesome time!! Its worth it!!

So much fun! My boyfriend and I were the first people to try out their led lights, it was so cool to see them changing as we raced in the dark. If you havent been you should go, if its been awhile you should go!

Such a fun place with a great staff. My young son and I have been there 3 times in a week and had a blast. They are very organized. Theyve went out of their way to help my son - specifically Carlos. Very well-managed and well-run place and so much fun for competitive racing.

It was a blast! Lil pricey but worth the fun. The cars should probably be replaced not for safety reasons but for the quality of the experience. A friend of mine kart was bouncing around a bit, it wasnt all the cars but there were a few that were rather uncomfortable to ride in.

One of my favorite places to go get my adrenaline fix. Bring the kids, bring your friends....and bring on the competition!

The experience is okay but the atmosphere is very lousy. No crowd and very small place. One of the staff lady was very rude and i had horrible time in there. She had a cold attitude towards us compared to another group. We will never come back.

Took my son here and I had just as much fun as him. The karts are surprisingly fast and nimble. The staff is friendly and helpful. It is a little pricey but after trying it out, I feel it is worth it.

If you’re someone who loves driving, you’re going to love this place. The karts are very light, nimble, and decently quick. But be warned, driving one is most likely a gateway drug to harder drugs, like sports car ownership.

Pretty fun for your average generic go kart place. The one in Phoenix was much nicer, however their facilities were clean, as were their karts. In terms of San Antonio, this is definitely the best deal around, however if youre willing to drive a little the COTA karts in Austin are much faster and the outdoor track is much more exciting. Great place for teens though and I did feel like this was primarily the target audience.

What a thrilling experience! I had no idea what to expect from indoor racing, and it was super fun. The staff at this venue is very helpful and courteous, which was greatly appreciated by a group of first-timers. The prices are reasonable and I didnt mind signing up as a member since 1) It is so fun, and 2) K1 is available at many locations. When we go to visit our son in Denver well be able to add this to our list of things to do now that we know!We saw groups of all ages having a great time, from pre-teen through the middle-aged-recapturing-youth. The track allows you to pick up speed and then forces you to negotiate hair-pin curves, putting your driving skills to the test. The 14 laps that you get for each race is a fair amount of time to learn the course and get better with each lap. I like how they allow younger drivers to take to the track without the older drivers running into them.I was impressed by the number of cars on hand, which allows them to keep the cars charged up and ready to go. And there are plenty of seats for waiting your turn or for non-drivers.All in all, our group of five drivers had a great time and we look forward to going again!

Went to K1 Speed-Indoor Go Karts last night with my granddaughter Anesidy. She was really nervous before we started racing,but once we hit the track she enjoyed it so did I. Im going back for sure I want my wife to check it out.

It was an okay race track. I didnt like the fact that they allowed other drivers to hit you. It was to rough and crazy for me. I order the membership but I doubt I will be back at least not at that location.

We visited K1 for my sons 13th birthday. We actually loved it. The only reason for the 4 out of 5 stars is someone from another race got hurt during a minor collision. The staff attended to the accident super quick, and offered the hurt lady an ice pack, but they did not offer EMS or submit any kind of official incident report.We know there that sign a waiver of liability but theyre should be some procedures in place. Thats just my opinion.

Was in the area to pick up an item and stepped in to find some details. Found out it was pretty dang expensive. Granted I have not been into go-karting and dont know the going rate, but for the amount of time, it didnt seem like a good bang for my buck. Doubt I will be going there. But then each to their own. I am sure there are patrons who do find it entertaining and that is the reason that this place is still open and functional.

Dnt buy nothing till u get it on groupon. I paid 100$ for 2 kids before i realized it was cheaper in groupon. Its a total ripp off for the amount of money paid. You could find something better to do than race here! I spent 2 hours here waiting for my 2 kids to race. 12 laps that last less than 5-6 min. Track is short and if someone crashes it slows everyone down. which means one less lap cause of a crash...Come on. Really, if its going to be 5 min at least be realistic with the prices. And to top it all off, the ladies in front are helpfull but sloppy with their customer service.

Cool place, I though it was a bit overpriced but Ive never been to anything like it before. They keep all their helmets and equipment they provide clean and inspected so thats a plus. Went their like 2 hours before closing maybe less ap not any wait but not any much competition either. Bring a crew with you because if you race against kids who obviously cant drive the ref/safety on the track will be halting due to wrecks and violations every lap which can cause some carts not to kick back on after the killswitch is broadcasted.

Its a great place to take kids. Its safe,fun and the prices are fairly reasonable.

Visit Occurred 6/29/2019My wife and I visit K1 Speed about two or 3 times a year and usually have a great time. If you hit it just right (when they first open), wait times are non-existant and the staff is extra friendly.K1 has two types of karts that run at different speeds: junior karts and adult karts. While the junior karts are slower than the karts the teens and adults will use, they still move at a decent clip. We put both of our kids in those, and it may not have been the best idea. My 9 year old zipped around the track effortlessly, but my 5 year old had problems with braking. Hitting the walls in these karts can be jarring. Each kid is a little different, so just keep in mind what your kids are caple of doing.The adult karts MOVE, and are a blast to drive. However, the karts seem to want to overwhelm the track layout at the San Antonio location. The track is very small and not very technical. If you are an experienced racer, you will complete 1 lap every 19 to 21 seconds. I wish the layout was bigger and more technical, but the facility can only do so much.One thing that concerns me about racing, is the staff doesnt always do a good job of explaining how to drive the karts to both adults and children. They are given a quick run down about braking, accelerating, and not bumping each other... but not much more. Ive seen some pretty harsh accidents on the track, including one yesterday when a woman managed to smack her face on the steering wheel (while wearing a loose fitting helmet).They sell food and drinks, but the prices are steep. I paid a little over $5 for a single can of beer... 1 CAN! Definitely eat and enjoy a happy hour before you get here, or you will go broke.Overall, I recommend paying this place a visit, but not during peak hours. Come at times when the staff has the bandwidth to explain everything, and be thorough with safety. Also going when its dead in there allows for you to really get a grasp of how everything works without worrying about 9 other people ramming you.

Had a great time, my kids raced gas powered go karts for a few years and these were very cool.

There is a competitive race league which has a race once a month. So if you are looking to race with some higher lever go then. Otherwise it is a fun place to drive some go-carts. There is a snack bar with basic food items. If you have your own helmet bring it. Otherwise you have to use a sock and there helmets. Try not to wreck the slower drivers.

The race times are right after another, I wanted to have a snack or drink in between but I couldnt because it was time to race again. Kinda pricey and they say no bumping but there were several crashes and spin around but nobody got hurt. It was fun to go that fast though.

Some really great go cart racing. Carts are in good shape. Staff is professional. Facility is top notch. My only issue was the food. I wasnt expecting 5 star restaurant food but Id say the pizza was hard to eat at best. Just dont go there hungry.

Great place to go, but its a RIP off. My family and I went and were told we get 12 laps. Turns out its the 1st person to get 12 laps. So if you have a young child and you overlap them. The child loses a lap. I did 12 and my daughter only did 8

These cars have some REAL POWER & was super fun for every member of my family! The only reason I did not give a 5 star review came down to the high price tag for each person. Unless you buy a Go Pass, it is far to expensive to just bring your family as a Walk-In!

Super fun! But me and some of the kids came back with a cough soon after if not the same evening. Not sure if they allow the helmets to be aired out for enough time or not, but I would err of side of caution because wed like to stay healthy and not breath in someone elses germs. Outside of that, awesome time and fun, the kids loved it!

Racing the Karts were fine, however I didnt care for the membership fee. It was $6 and wasnt a big deal, but for families it would rack up the price. Just incorporate it in the price and people wouldnt have an issue as I did. I wont be coming back as I was here on vacation and if I come back to Snap Antonio I wont be back here

We love k1,we take all family that comes to visit! There is military tickets on base if you are military and they have kids karts as well as adults!

It was a fun experience for all. It takes some time to go through the forms and prepare, but the racing was a blast. I recommend it for any teen or older person.

You better bring lots of time.... 30 min wait time they tell us, OK no problem. Well 1.5 hrs later the kids had their 1st 2 turns... and again 1.5 hrs later they got their 3rd turn...really!!! time management seems to be nonexistent, staff was nice, but the waiting time has be worked on. Absolutely unacceptable.

Awesome technical track. Kart 22 was really good.. very good experience to drive here after Houston and Austin. Austin is still my favorite track because we get more time on track.

We rented this venue for a party l, it was my first time going and I was not disappointed.

We had an informal birthday party here for my son (8). What that means is we invited a couple of his friends to meet us there for a couple of races instead of reserving a birthday party. We got there right when they opened so we did not have to wait. The staff did a great job explaining the ins and outs of racing to a group of rookies. Everyone had a blast. They also have video games to keep the kids entertained in between races. Even though the cars are electric, they sure do move (25 mph for juniors and 45 mph for adults). Well worth a splurge for fun.

Ive been to three K1 locations and customer satisfaction has remained top notch consistently. It is always fun to go around their indoor track. Be it, by yourself going for a personal best time, or with a group to see who can keep the cleanest lap. I had a great deal of fun every time.

Girl at checkout was absolutely miserable with life today. Other than that, all other staff was friendly and helpful. The cart racing experience was very fun, my 2 boys race the adult race with me and my daughter had so much fun in a junior race. Overall would have been a complete 5...but the girl with the overly painted box shaped eyebrows ruined the first 10 minutes of the visit.

When I travel I always look to see if K1 speed is there. Had a awesome time racing karts around the track here with my son!! Ill try to be back soon, but Im a long ways away from here!

It was my first time and I loved it. I dont really have anything else to compare it to. I would give five stars but it has to be exceptional to give five stars and the bathrooms fell slightly below expectation.

It Was Okay I Guess, Didnt Really Liked It, I Thought It Was Bigger Than It Was Me And My Wife Attended This One Cause Were On Vacation And Well We Came From Baytown But We Been In San Antonio Since Monday So We Thought This Be Fun But It Really Wasnt It Was Pretty Small We Got One Race, And Thats It, We Raced Against Each Other And A Father And His Daughter We Became Members But We Didnt Even Get Like Coins To Play The Games But There Isnt Much To Do Here, Guess We Came On The Wrong Time, My Server/Cashier Was Amanda She Was Great Very Attentive And Informative She Made My Experience Good But Maybe Next Time It Should Be Better

K1 Speed is really fun and a great experience that will definitely create great memories.*Or at least it did for us.My only complaint is that the pricing is high for just one race, and if you dont get there early there can be about a 30 min waiting time. But other than that, I would definitely recommend this place.
