I have had the opportunity to work with Wasatch Lawn, and especially Danielle and Justin for several years. They are always kind and professional. I have seen them regularly go the extra mile to ensure that families have a good and memorable experience during their difficult time. The grounds are well maintained and peaceful and I enjoy visiting there my family members who have passed. I give them my highest recommendation.
I would like to post this to bring to Wasatch lawn memorial management attention. I understand that sometimes you need to drive across the grass and graves especially to dig a new hole for somebody. But I feel like for the last 3 years theres always been an issue where my mother is buried. We visit this plot many times during the year. weve noticed for the last couple years there was something wrong with the grass. It was all dead and it was just dirt. We were excited to see that they finally had planted new grass. were excited for spring so we finally had nice plush grass to sit on while we visit my moms grave. My family and I went up today to visit her gravestone. and notice that it looked like somebody drove right across it and got stuck. Mud everywhere and completely ruined all of the brand new grass. Im hoping they fix this especially after the fact that weve suffered for the last 2 years sitting in kneeling down in dirt.
Danielle and Laura are amazing!!! The unexpected illness and death of a loved one always leaves the person struggling to cope with all of the details which include obituaries, plane reservations, etc. Danielle and Laura were absolutely incredible with their attention to all of the details of the funeral arrangements. They both made the process so easy and their compassion and kindness toward my family and I were exemplary, to say the least. If you’re faced with the unhappy, yet inevitable process of coping with the death of a loved one, I would highly recommend both Danielle and Laura of Wasatch Lawn for all of your funeral needs. They do not disappoint and you can be assured a flawless experience with the both of them on the job. Thank you both so much!!!
I want to personally thank Danielle and Gwen for theexcellent and professional service they gave to me when I made arrangements for my mothers graveside service. Even though she was over 102 years old, her passing was unexpected and left me completely unprepared. Because she did not have any Life Insurance, we were on a limited budget. Both Danielle and Gwen came up with a proposed plan that fitted our needs. Everything from casket, flowers, announcement for the paper, grave site arrangement, and pictures of my mother. I was so pleased and thankful for the video of her obituary they did with music and yellow flowers in the background (her favorite color) and also for a Memory Box. I feel like I have made two new friends. I would recommend Wasatch Lawn to anyone and have left instructions to my family that this is the place for my eternal rest.
Beautiful grounds for a final resting place!! The staff here is amazing, they go way beyond to help with making final arrangements. If you find yourself need a funeral home i can’t recommend Wasatch memorial enough. Ask for Justin W. He has helped us with serval funerals now. He is detail oriented, kind, and compassionate. In a time when we weren’t thinking clearly he was there to help us with every detail and gentle guidance
Very professional to work with. Made the task of a funeral arrangement very easy. Thanks for your help!
Justin was so helpful and comforting through our entire experience. Beyond grateful for his peaceful presence and integrity. I would highly recommend using him. The entire experience was calm and easy.
We had issues the morning of my moms burial - a dirty headstone, rebar left on the ground and crew still working with a tractor half an hour before our grave site service.Peter, the owner, came up to the site and discussed the problems with me and since that time, has reached out to me and let me know of steps taken with the grounds crew to prevent such issues in the future. That was appreciated.
Danielle and her entire team was absolutely wonderful. At a time where a loved one is lost unexpectedly, all of the staff at Wasatch Lawn was there to handle all of the complicated details with love and compassion. Danielle assisted me with everything necessary to make sure that the entire process was handled with dignity, professionalism and a very caring and tender love that was needed at such a vulnerable time. Thank you so very much Daniele and all of the staff at Wasatch Lawn Memorial. We are so thankful for all of you and thank you so very much for the love you showed to my late wife and myself. You will never be forgotten...Sincerely,David C.
Very thankful for the care and kindness received by Wasatch Lawn Memorial. They were very helpful and informative.
The staff overall was very helpful and flexible in accommodating our requests. We appreciate Justin for the last minute changes to the contract, Cory for doing a phenomenal job at the cemetery, and Scott for being patient with creating the marker order.
We had an excellent experience throughout the entire process. We mainly worked with Danielle, Scott and Brad. All three were fantastic!! They were the utmost professionals who were knowledgeable about their areas of expertise, did what they said they would do (and more) and were always polite and caring. As an example, the turnaround on our fathers funeral was very short. He passed away on a Friday and we had the service on Sunday since I was from out-of-town. During that very short time frame, Danielle was able to get my father a military flag, had two officers perform their military salute service and arranged for a priest to be there. Scott and Brad also were amazing making sure everything was perfect and were there for the service to make sure everything went well.My sister and I were very pleased and appreciative of everything the three of them did. Thanks Danielle, Scott and Brad for making everything perfect!Sincerely,Gary C.
My best friends nails were filthy underneath, his knuckles werent even a little covered up from all the bruising and wounds. I wish they would have taken more time to make him look more presentable. Open casket viewings are already difficult to go to, seeing them not at their best (as best as they can look) is certainly more tough.
I have asked 2 times to update/correct the date of death on temporary marker. This is a big deal to the family even though its not the headstone and just the marker but the point is they need to pay attention to details.
Used Wasatch Lawn Cemetery for years. Always well kept.
I have dealt with Wasatch Lawns for several years and hope to do my final exit from this life there. It has always been an informative and pleasurable experience. I want to thank David for his help in these matters.
The employees at Wasatch Lawn Memorial were so helpful and understanding about every aspect of my husbands death. I felt a friendly bond with the people who worked with our family. They listened and gave me individualized support and resources. They helped transform a very sad circumstance into a cherished experience and memory.
I have been going to finish my funeral arrangements for several years but have not taken the time to do so.. I had a very nice meeting with Jason and he took me through the final steps that I had to do to get everything in order. I am very pleased with your establishment and know that I will be taken good care of when the time comes..I have 9 members of my family buried in the Elmdale section. I have been coming to leave flowers and paying my respects to them for many many years..My thanks to Jason for his kind and helpful service,,Sincerely, Kathy Flitton
My wife and I went to take our niece some flowers, pinwheel and butterfly for her on June 27, I drove by July 3rd and noticed from the road that it looked like the flowers in the white stand up vase were missing, went to go check myself they were missing the pinwheel and butterfly were still there. WHY? Would someone or people would disrespect someones family like that, taking the flowers or anything else that belongs to them and their loved ones that are resting there. The cemetery is a place for families and friends to visit their loved ones that are not here with them anymore and to respect other families that go there, not to disrespect them in anyway. I dont have anything against WLMP&M, its a well kept and quiet place and I know there not the ones that took it because I see flowers and vases everywhere and they let you know when theyre going to clean the park. But to the POS that took my nieces flowers or for anyone elses grave site, you better hope I dont ever catch or find out who you are, you are a disgrace to your family and your day will come.
Wasatch lawn has been understanding and did a good job.
Wasatch Lawn is simply amazing! We worked with Justin through the process of burying my wifes cousin. Their hours of operation clearly state that they are closed Sunday. I sent an email to Justin on Sunday afternoon, fully expecting to not hear from him until Monday, but I got a very quick reply. We were trying to make adjustments to the program, and he was very helpful. After a few emails back and forth he texted me so we could work through the issues more rapidly. At the viewing the night before the funeral he was prepared hours before we were slated to arrive, and he stayed until we were ready to leave. When we buried my father a couple years back, we used a different company. Being able to compare these two experiences, I can see why Wasatch Lawn is the best full service Cemetery in the valley. If youre on the fence, let me break it down for you. When you bury someone, it is by far one of the most painful, awful experiences of your life. Especially if you bury a child, or a parent far before their time. As with anything in life, you get what you pay for. Yes, Wasatch Lawn is a bit more expensive than other places, but during one of the most horrible times of your life, you need a friend, you need someone you can trust, someone who will hold your hand and make it easier. I can promise you this, if you pick Wasatch Lawn you will not be disappointed.
It’s beautiful but the mausoleum needs better up keep. While visiting, I was swarmed by gnats and the carpet was coming up and had dead bugs all over it.
Thank you Rick and Scott for a seamless experience planning our mothers funeral. We appreciate your ability to maneuver between 6 daughters opinions and help us make final plans.
Wasatch Lawn did an amazing job helping me to give my daughter her last hurrah. They got everything perfect down to the small details. The only thing I would suggest is someone be there to instruct people to sign the book or where to start because we had such a large crowd that it got very overwhelming and we had very few sign in for the viewing. Also half my Pallbearers got their corsages. At one point I had to ask a friend to man the door to try and hand them out.
The folks at Redwood Memorial were head and shoulders higher as far as compassion, helpfulness and information. The price was comparable to everyone else. The location was great for us. The grounds looked well kept. We had a great experience. And, these people were really so much better than any of the handful of others we interviewed with. Over the years we havent regretted our decision to go with Redwood Memorial.
Most, if not all of the plots are over growing and the grass is dead. Please take more care of the plots. Make it look better for those who visit often.
Wasatch Lawn for one, is absolutely beautiful. Both my grandparents are buried here. Wasatch Lawn gave a beautiful Viewing for my grandmother. Theyre so loving and supportive hands down. Highly recommend!
Matt and David were both very understanding and flexible with our situation. Thank you for your professional and caring service.
My mother passed away last October and my two sisters met with Danielle DeLuca to handle arrangements. Everything proceeded smoothly and satisfactorily. Recently I reached out to Dignity at Wasatch Lawn in preparation for international travel. Danielle was assigned to assist me and she was extremely professional and well prepared. In one simple visit, she handled my every need and question with both aplomb and compassionate expediency.
Justin was amazing to work with! It’s definitely not easy whenever you need to deal with a funeral director, but with Justin’s help it made the situation much easier knowing everything was in Justin’s hands. The funeral was as perfect as funerals could be and he really went above and beyond. As time has passed since the funeral, Justin has kept in touch to see how the family is doing and we routinely meet at the funeral home to catch up.Thanks Justin!
Laura was hands down the best to work with!! We recently had to make preparations for my brothers funeral and she was very thoughtful from start to finish working extra hours to make sure everything was the way we wanted and how we wanted our loved one to be remembered. She was present for all of the services and was available to us 24/7 if we felt like we needed her. I call her a miracle worker and she made this very difficult time for us more manageable. Thank you from the bottom of my heart!!
Justin did such a beautiful job at helping my family with my grandfathers funeral services, he was so patient and went above and beyond when we needed to make some changes . Thank you everyone at Wasatch Lawn .Love - The Duke and Larsen Family
Amazing customer service. Very friendly environment.
In the midst of the most difficult time a mother could face, Laura was compassionate, sensitive, and extremely thoughtful. She took us through the preparation process making sure it was exactly what we wanted from start to finish. I will be forever grateful for the extra time she spent with my son to ensure he at peace.
We had the best people working on our funeral. Laura and Julie went above and beyond what they should have. we called them late at night, texted during holidays and gave them several strange instructions. They made the funeral run smooth, all of our wishes happened, last minute changes were honored, all our family was thrilled with how the funeral turned out. The deceased has children and they listened to all of their needs also. They truly couldn’t have done better! Julie also made the best looking program I have ever see !! We love the staff we worked with and are so grateful for them
I was impressed with the effort to help me understand all. Aaron was great. He answered all my concerns.
Everyone at the Mortuary and Cemetery were kind, professional and caring. Laura and Rick were particularly wonderful. I recommend them whole-heartedly. Top notch!
Showed great personal care and assistance to me and our family!! Thank you once again.
We received the utmost care, sensitivity and professionalism during the unexpected loss of our son. Thank you!
We are so grateful for the incredible service weve received from Wasatch. Danielles care has been beyond professional, compassionate, and responsive during extremely challenging times. You will be in very good hands with her and the Wasatch team.
Very caring and thoughtful! Treat you like family!
The whole team at Wasatch Lawn is amazing! Especially Justin Welker, Funeral Director! He took a great amount of time to make sure that we had everything we needed and that everything was perfect for our beautiful daughters ceremony and burial. We greatly appreciate him and all of his help! Thanks again, Greg and Amber Welch
I have never worked with people so kind, knowledgeable and understanding.
Wasatch Lawn was very respectful and performed without a hitch during a very stressful time for our family.
I used WasatchLawn for my sons services. DanielleDeluca was the point of contact and she was so kind and patient with me. The service and care was exceptional.
Wasatch lawn knows how to make a terrible experience as pleasant as possible. Justin our funeral director was amazing he answered all of our questions and was willing to spend as much time with us as we needed. He even took time out of their busiest day of the year (memorial day) so that I could get a chance to see my moms body as soon as possible. Up to this point they have done everything possible to help us in anyway. While being one of the worst experiences someone can go through they have done their best to make it good.
It was a satisfactory experience. Everything just as planned.
Danielle helped my family at a very difficult time. She was a God send! I would recommendWasatch lawn to anyone needing her services!
Very helpful considerate and kind. Went Out of their way to help with expenses
Our family can not say enough great things about Justin Welker and his staff at Wasatch Lawn. We have had several family members pass that are at rest in the cemetery, but the most recent was my niece Mikel who passed at a young age of 22. At one of the most difficult times our family has went through, Justin guided us and helped navigate through once again an awful ordeal. We cried and we laughed and he was always there to support us through it all as we remembered our sweet angel! We highly recommend Justin and the entire staff at Wasatch Lawn Memorial should you need there services.
We have been very pleased with the services provided by Wasatch Lawn. I saw a negative review from 5 years ago and cant imagine what they were talking about. Every interaction we had with personnel was positive. They were professional, kind, diplomatic and knowledgeable. There was never any pressure brought on us to purchase more than we wanted. We especially appreciated the skillful handling of the services the day of the funeral as we were effectively guided through the process.
We were very pleased with the sensitivity, care, attention to detail and unexpected extras provided by Wasatch Lawn with the passing of my mother. Thank you, Dean Kaelin
The staff are so friendly and helpful. We lost our little boy, and they were so kind and helpful that looking back now, it was quite a relief to have their help
Once again, I go to this cemetery to visit my families graves and to walk and am almost attacked by a huge dog running towards me. Everytime I go there now there is a person and their dog. Either walking their dogs or just hanging out and I have been approached numerous times and had to tell the owners to call their dogs off. This is really getting ridiculous and they need to do a better job and trying to make sure people are aware and understand Absolutely NO DOGS! I am a dog lover but this is not the place for them and not a place for them to run all over. I have called the offices twice now when this happened and they dont seem to care. There was a worker 30 feet away and did nothing as this dog was running at me and I was yelling at the owner. They say they have signs. They have one small sign on the 33rd entrance that has been there for 40 years and covered by treed. PLEASE, put up a clear and large and visible sign to let other know, NO DOGS! Maybe they will get more concerned once someone visiting a grave has been bitten and holds them accountable. Just ridiculous they cannot figure out a way to enforce this better and care about families feeling safe at this cemetery. You visit your loved ones there at your own risk!
My sister has been at this facility awaiting cremation for over a week. The staff have no idea where her urn is and have given us misinformation multiple times. As if this process wasnt hard enough. My family feels as though we were pushed to the side to make way for other, potentially more expensive, funerals. We definitely will not be using this funeral home again.
On June 22nd 2018 we visited the graves of my mother, dad and our son. Our son passed away 22 years ago and during that time we have always been pleased with how the grounds looked. But this time the lawn is looking almost dead. It must need fertilizer or more water but it was disgusting and disheartening to go there and see the condition surrounding the graves of our loved ones!
Very nice and well maintained facility. They do veteran memorial services in a tasteful way.
Laura is a great funeral director! She went above and beyond!
My Dad, Thomas R King, was buried here today. The staff was very personable, on a very professional level. They have maintained our family plot since the 1920s. I will be calling upon their services to pre-plan for my wife and I, in the near future.
Very peaceful and serene. They have beautiful gardens in any season and the memorium buildings are kept clean. If my mom cant be with us, Im glad she is here.
This cemetery used to be amazing over the last few years they don’t take care if it at all . The lawn looks terrible, it’s always long and never keep . The headstones are not trimmed . I wish we would have chosen a different place but at the time it was a beautiful place
Exceptional Caring People. Thanks for Everything. God Bless
As good as you can get under the circumstances of a funeral grounds or well-kept staff very kind and well-mannered
This is a place for peace. They do a great job.
Wonderful, a bit windy for new balloons but wonderful
Very helpful staff. Grounds were well groomed! Thank you!
Wonderful staff Danielle or Funeral director, did such an amazing job to help our family at such a terrible time
Quiet and peaceful, despite being next to a busy road. Nice to go and see your past loved ones and have a peaceful moment
It is a great place to visit if you have someone who has died there. If you are searching for places to be buried it looks to me like there are openings and options.
Well organized and looking nice for the memorial weekend. Note that the roads are all one way for the weekend.
Im impressed with how quiet it is here. People in the office are very professional and positive.
Very nice people to talk to & to visit.
As with many cemeteries, it makes a great place to imagine the spirits of the deceased buried here suddenly reanimating the bodies for a good spook around Halloween!
Lots of pokestops, but terrible cell phone reception. Beautifully kept lawn and plants.
How do you describe such a horrific thing to have to go through in life, they did a good job considering the situation.
Its simply one of the best resting places Ive seen. Well tended and on memorial day they manage crowds quite well. The chapel is lovely and is a great plesant peacful spot for a service.
Beautiful grounds. Caring sympathetic staff.
A well kept cemetery and full service funeral home
Good, quiet, well maintained. Could use more bench spaces and trash receptacles
Really nice place to remember the lost ones.
This is a beautiful and peaceful place. Great oasis in the city for quiet contemplation and reflection.
This is where most of our family is. They have always taken good care of us.
Ive had a great experience with Wasatch Lawn. I was very young when my husband died and they answered all the questions I had. I had no issues with plot documents. I ran into one of the staff years after my husband died and he still remembered my name.
Very knowledgeable kind people.
Peaceful grounds with a rich history. This seems to be the premier location in the Salt Lake valley.
Great place for a memorial service and to celebrate a life!
It was very pleasant and professionally handled
Very pretty and quiet. I love the trees there.
They did a good job on my aunts funeral.
A wonderful eternal resting place.
Not dignified, not helping with my grandmothers grave marker,, is has been almost 3 years since her death and the marker is not there and they blame us,,, so if your loved ones pass away and you come here, you should expect to not cry or mourn because you have to Hoover over the staff to make sure things get done.
Wonderful staff and facility.
Peaceful. Perfect place for our loved one
Beautiful place and great people.
Memories of family fill the air.
For all the money we.have payed you need to.get the roads fixed poor care for the six of my family we have there and your grounds need care to much for to little C.R. BLACK
