This place was awesome. I was unsure at first because so much hinges on the talents charm, but I loved it. They interacted with the crowd and they made you feel a part of the show and encouraged people to join in and interact. I was so happy the piano players were easy going and more about you having fun than anything else. Also the bar staff was really good too. They checked on us enough and didnt interrupt the show because they were so quick. Great place, great time.

When I first moved to Utah I was searching for something to raise my spirits and keep me hopeful... at Keys I found a family. The piano players are wicked talented and not just on the piano but the vocals and harmonica and every once in a while, a sax!! The bouncers and bartenders are awesome and so friendly. Love this place!!

We frequent this place alot and with the social distancing the bar was not packed. But the service was horrible we waited so long for drinks. The talent was awesome as always. Just the service and quality of drinks totally subpar.

Dueling Piano Bar, the dueling part means if they are playing a song you dont want to hear, simply tip more than the original tipper. The entertainers are awesome. The staff is friendly. Decent food menu at very affordable prices. Drinks are reasonably priced. (8 to 10 bucks)

I wrote a bad review after I was PHYSICALLY ASSAULTED (and injured) by an employee in the restaurant for not wearing a mask even though everyone in the building was eating food without them on. This happened maybe ten seconds after the guy working as the door man let me in without a mask so I could use the bathroom. To make things worse, they screwed up our reservations for my sisters wedding plans so we didnt have a table. It ruined the whole celebration. Then, my review was removed! Go figure. Go ahead and remove my post again, and I will make sure everyone knows the truth about what happened at your establishment. You dont even deserve a single star.

We had a couple issues, and I’d like to talk to you about those before taking further steps. I emailed, a few days ago, but didn’t receive a response.When we arrived, the employee at the door didn’t have a reservation for us. We explained we had an email for our reservation and he went and spoke with a manager. After he spoke to the manager, he explained that there weren’t any tables available and that we’d have to wait outside for other patrons to leave.In the meantime, both my daughter and son had to use the restroom. My son went and asked the front door guy if he could go in and use the restroom while we were waiting. He took his ID, and then motioned for his sister to come to the door as well. At that point, the front desk guy became irritated and said, “wait a minute, I gave YOU permission to go to the bathroom, NOT HER.” My son explained that she needs to go the restroom too, and asked if that was okay. The employee was extremely rude about it. The least he could do is allow us to use the restroom while we were forced to wait outside because of an error on their behalf.While walking to the restroom, my son was approached by a bouncer who told him he needed a mask on to be in there. There was ZERO mention of a mask at the door when they asked to use the restroom. My son responded by letting the bouncer know that he had been told he could come in and use the restroom really quick. He also informed him that due to a medical condition, he is unable to wear a face mask.The bouncer immediately became aggressive with my son, grabbed his arm and pushed him in the direction of the door and told him to leave. My son is smaller in stature and felt very physically threatened, and for no reason. He, out of an effort to defend himself, became aggressive back.In the meantime, we saw it all as we were outside, looking through the window. My son isn’t normally aggressive at all...so this was completely unusual! I told my husband to run in there and I followed. I got between the bouncer and my son to try to calm things down and take my son outside to figure out what happened. My son was extremely upset, and rightfully so. My daughter was hurt in the process, and my son’s neck was injured from the chokehold he was put in by the bouncer who was probably 3 times my son’s size. There were also additional bouncers/employees involved.We find the aggression over the mask for the use of the bathroom very inappropriate and uncalled for. We find the aggression and violence that was used on my son out of line. Taking into consideration the size difference, it was waaaaay over the top.There are numerous witnesses, both family and other patrons who are encouraging my son to file assault charges. I wanted to take the opportunity to discuss the incident with you. Being a Manager of a business myself, I understand you may hear a different story from your employees...but again, there are witnesses to the bouncer’s immediate aggression over my son not wearing a mask to the restroom.We were all ultimately told we couldn’t stay. Which was probably super convenient, given the reservation error.Let me end this by telling you that our family is clearly extremely disappointed in the quick, violent behavior of your employees. We are an upstanding, positive, group of humans who didn’t deserve this. My son, being small in stature, has been bullied his entire life and he did feel he was being assaulted by the bouncer and that it was necessary to begin defending himself.Additionally, let me explain that we are not looking for a free night of entertainment at Keys as some sort of attempt to apologize or compensate us for the inconvenience/horrible experience. Our goal here is to address a very serious issue that we feel needs to change within your establishment.

Really great bar with fun entertainment and a good variety of drinks. Make sure to bring lots of cash, if youre planning on requesting any songs. The musicians are wonderful! The only thing is that they could work on is their food. Other than that, its the perfect place to hangout with friends!

Went there with the girls this weekend. We had a great time! The pianists were talented and knew a wide variety of popular, requested songs. My friends seemed to enjoy their drinks. We didnt try any of the food.

We were celebrating a birthday, reserved a table and had a great time! Our waitress Nichole was on top of things and added to the experience by her friendly attitude and by taking pictures for us. Well worth the time and effort.

Ive been here a couple times and your overall experience definitely can be impacted by the crowd. The dueling pianos is a couple of singers who play songs on request. You can out bid the song to get it to stop, but if you get a crowd that constantly requests slow or terrible songs the night gets dull. On the flip side Ive been there with crowds that request fun songs, everyone is sing, some result in dancing and everyone is laughing. Worth going to with a group of friends.

We went here for a ladies night out as a get together for a friend that is leaving the area. This was my first time at Keys on Main and the theme was Mardi Gras. We had an absolutely amazing time. Great atmosphere and great service!

My first time at a dueling piano bar and I honestly didnt know what to expect. We got there a little early since we were nearby and the show started at 9pm. I didnt know you had to reserve a table earlier in order to sit because it gets really packed. We were able to snag 3 of the 5 only chairs at the bar and watch from there. (Also $5 cover charge)When the show started I was blown away. The musicality and talent on stage was amazing. The crowd participation was great especially when everyone is singing along. The musicians getting into character and singing was fantastic as well. I can see why people would want to have their bday or celebrate special occasions here, it was a blast.

This place is guaranteed to offer a good night. But be aware, this place will get PACKED on the weekends. So arrive early or call ahead to reserve yourself a spot. Got some really good bar food and quite the selection of house speciality cocktails.

It was a blast! Excellent entertainment for a Friday night date. Piano players take turns playing requested songs on the two pianos. A unique experience! Great drinks, great crowd, a lot of fun.If youre sensitive to dirty humor, dont come to the piano performances. After 10 they play a lot of songs youre not going to like... Atmosphere was fantastic. The performances did very well. Drinks were lacking in alcohol. As a bartender I understand how to mix liquor and juices to create a pleasant flavor. The drinks we were served lacked liquor. Very disappointed.Ex. I ordered a cosmo, which is basically vodka with splashes of cranberry and lime. I received cranberry juice with a lime in a martini glass.My father sent his craft cocktail back in hopes to have the drink made properly. It came back to the table with less alcohol than the first time.

We paid for a VIP table when we got there and our waitress just awful (bright pinks hair and in pigtails). She had a nasty attitude, got our drinks wrong and when we would politely mention that we didn’t get the right drinks, she would scoff and just take the drinks. As the night went on, we didn’t see our waitress for a full 32 minutes (yes I kept track) so we just went up to the bar and ordered our drinks. We super excited come in because our friends who are in military have never been and were visiting us on leave. We were all extremely disappointed. I’ve always loved keys on main but the service was just disrespectful.

This place is totally Tah! That could be a good thing or a bad thing depending on the vibe youre going after. Generally, its an older crowd 35 and up sitting around listening to some epic improvised jams. Theres no denying the host and piano players are talented but yet its another bar in Utah that pours weak drinks and the energy is dialed down. If your parents are in town, bring them here!

One of the greatest bars in town! The atmosphere was incredible. The pianists are extremely talented. It blew my mind how well they could switch from song to song or improve while they were playing. The wait staff and bar tenders were also incredible and extremely attentive. I never went thirsty once!

The idea behind Keys on main itself was SO FUN. The dueling pianists were amazing! I’m only giving 3 stars because we reserved a table online, paid our cover fee. Online it says the reservation is FREE. Okay cool, assume they just want to cover fee paid in advance. Get to the door, and you have to pay a cover fee again? I don’t quite understand. We had fun, but I really don’t think paying $40 for a table is worth it, because to get any songs played, you have to tip! Which I understand. And then obviously food and drink is a want. My group of 4 paid $150+ dollars for the evening.

Always a good time here! The piano players are awesome and very entertaining. The service is great! The drinks are good and we love the nachos! If you get to go on a night like The Head Bangers Ball, New Years, Halloween, or Mardi Gras, do it!!

Incredible! Ive never experienced anything like a duelling piano bar before, and this one was one heck of a way to introduce myself to the concept! Special shout out to all the pianists who, unbelievably, knew every song requested of them by heart- Eminem and Coolio were particular highlights- even I dont know all the words to Gangsters Paradise! When I make it back to SLC I will absolutely be back here.

The crew were even able to help me as arrange an on-stage proposal. Five stars really isnt enough for a venue that will entertain you all night for a $5 cover.

We came for a birthday party and it was a blast. They had great service and overall it was a fun experience. If it is a weekend be sure to get there on time because seating always fills up fast!

Only con ( and thats probably because I had sensitive hearing and Im old) speakers were a tad bit too loud, couldnt hear people speaking at our table. Lots of fun, would definitely come back.

Favorite bar in Salt Lake, hands down. The best way to enjoy this bar is to reserve a table ahead of time, then you aren’t fighting for space at the bar, and you have a great view of the show!

This is a pretty good bar. The bartenders were friendly with great drink recommendations. The entertainment was excellent. Salt lake City has a pretty good nightlife scene, but live music is hard to find. This is a really great place for it. This was the place I discovered tequila shots that with cinnamon and orange instead of salt and lime. It is a whole new take on it, and is great around the holidays. Definitely a place Ill return too.

Its a very fun place to go out on a date or with friends. I dont mind paying a little extra for food, but the quality was a little disappointing. But have a drink instead and enjoy the music.

Okay, this place is awesome for the atmosphere and music. Its lively, the three pianists they had complemented each other and kept the fun going until we left. They were able to get us a different table that was open because we had two people show up last minute-so that service was great.I am only giving it 4 stars because I honestly think the mixed drinks were completely watered down and were just syurp and water. My husband and I had four different drinks between us, and after two cocktails Im usually pretty buzzed and done for the night. I felt nothing and told the waitress after my first drink and while I was ordering my second that I thought my first drink was watered down. She said she would say something but I didnt hear anything else about it and we were charged for the drink. My second was syrup water. The other two were their own concoctions too, and were also like water syrup.So, go for the atmosphere and fun. Order beer because they cant fake it.Other people at our table ordered food and it took between 30-45 min each time they ordered something...just an FYI.

Was in town for a convention, and they got slammed with one doorman, one bartender, and two players. They were great from start to finish and engaged with everyone from very diverse backgrounds. Would highly recommend this place.

I really enjoyed the atmosphere and environment at Keys on Main! It is extremely lively and all different genres of music are played. Because it is a dueling piano bar, you can definitely pay to keep a song playing or have it die! While Keys on Main is great and the service was good, I was a little unimpressed with the vocals. The female vocalist was very good, but the male vocalist was not as strong as I would have preferred. Nonetheless, it was truly a night to remember!!

It is SO fun! Great party place. We went on a Wednesday and there was no cover charge and no crowd. The musicians/performers were terrific. They can pretty much play and sing whatever you want.

Very upbeat, fun piano bar. Usually crowded from the time they open until around 11, when most people leave and you can actually get a seat. Drinks are on point and employees are friendly. Is recommend making it a later stop in your night so its not so crowded, but if youre looking for a crowd, go early. Lots of people celebrate their birthdays or special events there.

One of the most fun and unique bars you can go to in Utah. There are two pianists/singers who will perform just about any song you give them. The atmosphere is energetic and fun. The drink options are also great and spunky. Weekends are particularly busy but the crowd makes the music more exciting.

Keys on Main is a fantastic bar with the BEST in entertainment. Really good food, you cant go wrong with their mountain of nachos or just regular chips and salsa.Their piano players are so freaking amazing, so many songs just completely memorised! Drunk or sober you are gonna have a great time! If you dont have a good time then you are doing this wrong.
