Jeff is famous around the world for his flesh tones, probably because he emphasizes working from life.The majority of his work is done in-person or with Real animals, objects and figures. My wife honed in her skills under Jeff, now she paints self portraits from mirrors like a boss!

I went to the Hein Academy, am graduating very soon. Could not be more grateful for the education I received here. Jeff has high standards for his students, which causes them to push themselves to achieve a technical ability in drawing and painting that before they had only dreamed of. He manages to do this while being encouraging and creating a great supportive atmosphere. My skill levels are so far beyond what they were when I started, its not even comparable. It wasnt easy and takes grit and persistence, but Im so happy and proud of what I achieved with Jeffs teaching.
