We decided to visit the Old Stone House on a whim. It was really interesting. People dressed in costume, period foods to sample, period music and a small battle reinactment. We learned a lot and intend to go back for Oktoberfest!

Went during German fest. The house is huge for the period it was built in. Very interesting history and unlike other historical homes you can go into the individual rooms and look around. The stairs are a bit steep so not for those with mobility issues. Unfortunately there is some grafitti etched into parts of the house from vagrants before the house was restored.

Beautiful country and historic house. Well kept, great events here. Worth the drive.

My partner and I were in Salisbury for the day and found this neat little spot thanks to TripAdvisor. $3 admission for an hour tour, lots of great history and education here!

This has been one of my favorite places to visit and share with others since I was a little girl! The tour guides are all very knowledgeable and wonderful with all ages.

A wonderful piece of preserved history. They are working on taking the property back a couple hundred years. If you love history, go check it out.

Amazing historical resource!!!

This is a small site, but it is fascinating and beautiful. The docents are especially nice and knowledgeable. Watch for special events at the house.

We visited during the German festival. While they had just run out of food when we arrived, due to an unexpectedly large crowd, we were able to scout our visit to the house, gift shop and specialty booths that were at up for the event. Hopefully they will make this an annual event, but with more food next time.

My wife and I had a great time at the Old Stone House German fest.
