Great safe, and less trafficked location. Trash cans and restrooms at the main entrance. A path for horses and a separate for bikes/hikers. Get here early around 8am and youll have it all to yourself. Dog friendly but must be on leash. Lots of dog poop though so watch out. We occasionally see rabbits but no other wildlife thus far.

Open space for everyone. Gentle, rolling hills. Well groomed trails. One of the best marked trail systems Ive ever been on. You almost dont even need a map. And always a coastal breeze.

Nice wide trail, most other hikers were cordial and polite. Came across an obnoxious cyclist, but it didn’t sour the scenery. Very peaceful, good cardio.

Very good walking park...people on the trail very nice and respectful..Very clean trails and restrooms. What is needed in the vehicle parking area are surveillance cameras on tall polesThis will prevent those who drive around looking for areas such as this area to vandalize vehicles..At the moment...do not leave what is deemed valuable visible in your vehiclesThis is a very good place to go daily..Dont let the self serving self centered people still your joy and fun..

Great hiking, great trails. Big hill is worth the hike! Be sure not to leave things out and visible in your car! So many people leave things so that they can easily be seen through a window! Be aware!

I havent hiked in Salinas before. I didnt even know that there were any trails, like Fort Ord National Monument Badger Hills Trail, to hike in Salinas. It was a nice surprise. Interesting, that this trail could be as short or as long as youd like. It is not shaded, so its best completed in the fall or spring. Very open and offers lovely views.I ended up hiking 8 miles total with about 1200 feet of elevation, which was theoretically not a difficult hike, but in the sun makes you feel more tired than you really are. There were a lot of people in the beginning, but pretty much nobody after the first 2 miles.

Beautiful area with lots of options for trails. There are two parking lots, so it was easy to find a spot. Some of the smaller trails looked a little overgrown, but the gravel road was perfect.

This area is great for hiking, biking or just a nice walk outside. There are so many trails to choose from, but be careful to choose the right trail for the level of hills you want to take. Some trails offer almost constant uphill slopes and others keep you at somewhat level ground. There are many great opportunities for a good selfie with the sun coming up over the nearby mountains and if youre lucky you may even spot a bunny to take a picture with!

Great trails, rolling hills, beautiful scenery... what more could you ask of Gods country. Access from the 68 is somewhat hard because of the speed cars travel at. But for the most part, the area is well maintained.

This is a really cool park today. A ton of trails and roads to bike, walk, run, hike or whatever else. I take my dog here all the time and there are even areas that are marked and allow dogs to be off leash. Beautiful views of the rolling hills. And some of the hills are substantial, so take some water if you are going for a run.

A good place to stop over if one ever might find themselves in a position of expression that can only be satisfied by letting go of all that is and everything which isnt or should have never tried to be...Beginning first with the letter P.Exit off the half-highway Road you are probably white knuckling your way through and relax when putting it slowly I to park and exhale a sigh of relief.Bathrooms are fully stocked and waiting to be refreshed with the letter of the day you most surly will bring onto it.
