Its a big park and has a lot of equipment. Great place for quick lunch and Pokemon go. Its even located near a stream thats nice to enjoy and silly squirrels but its not comfy nice its more formal nice, I guess. Not a thing wrong with it, plenty of room and well kept just not the piece of heaven I look for like at sunset park.

Lunch at the park was wonderful. Park was beautiful, clean and shelter we used was well kept. Will go again.

A huge park full of old old oak trees. This park has multiple areas including a playground, a toddler playground, a ADA playground full of music making toys, a large stage that shows frequent plays and music in the summer, tennis courts and private tables/grills for picnics by the river. The park hosts the Smokey hill river festival in the summer as well as several children’s days and holidays cookouts. This is an excellent park with wide sidewalks and lovely flower gardens.(Note: because of the danger of flooding and summer drought, the river doesn’t always have water. And even when it does, this is Kansas. Don’t swim in the rivers. ;)

We like doing bike rides to, and around here very easy and not high on traffic my kids get to feel big and ride in street. I also like coming jere to just have a sit in the pretty flower area.

We like coming here to play Pokemon Go, and walking through the garden. We have never had any problems, and we always have a good time.

Lots of different little things to do. I really like the music park with all the percussion stuff. Beautiful flowers in spring and summer. I enjoy walking over the bridges and looking down the creek and seeing wild life.

The pavilion is a short walk from the street, with a roof overhead for wet or sunny weather. Picnic tables are available.

My son loves it and alot of activities and bathrooms!

Great place for an outdoor meeting. Bring lawn chairs for social distancing in the breeze.

Always a good time. Whether looking for a peaceful and serene, botanic place to have your wedding, or to have a photo/video shoot. Playground was recently updated with lots of strength and sensory fun, doesn towards the north west entrance is also the sound playground with different instruments thaht any kid would love to explore.

They offer quite a few pay to enter festivals that are family orientedand enjoyable.

Not as nice as it was when you could ride the miniature train and when there was actuall water in the river

I only stopped to use,some shade to eat my lunch but the maintenance people sure seemed to be doing a good job .they were constantly on the move..

Oakdale park is the scene of several historical points of interest in Salina.

This is the largest park in Salina. It has a ton of places to take pictures, several stages for performances and music, lots of sport areas and playgrounds.This park is nice because if all the attractions it has, from an old steam engine you can walk inside to a music garden with a bunch of different percussion instruments to play with. Furring the summer this is where a lot of the city events and festivals are Held as well.

Its beautiful there and almost always new art work.

The festival was a wonderful experience. The local talent of the artists both vocial musical and craft show was incredible. The talent brought in was also fantasticTHIS IS FESTIVAL WE CAN ALL BE PROUD OF. THANK YOU TO ALL THE VOLUNTEERS, STAFF, VENDORS AND ARTISTS. JOB WELL DONE!!!!!!!!!!

The park was looking good its festival weekend so get out and enjoy some food, arts and craft, music, and fun games for the whole family. Looks like theres even some new playground equipment for the kids to enjoy.

Sunday May 12th was a beautiful day to walk around this beautiful park. So enjoyable. And, with my wife, my eldest son, his beautiful other half and helper, and their precious new child. What a beautiful day in a beautiful park.

Really enjoyed the festival! Lots of artists, musicians, food vendors, and activities for all. Something for everyone. Will definitely have to make another trip.

Great Park to go to for family outings. It has plenty of toys for the kids, grills and covered areas to sit. Grills to cook uo some dogs and burgers. Restrooms, tennis courts and an amphitheater.

This is a nice, clean, enjoyable park to visit. It has nice landscaping, and play areas for children. Tennis courts are also available. The Salina River Festival and the Lead Sled Spectacular are both held in Oakdale Park, because of the size of the park.

Nice park. Kids enjoyed the play ground. Yes I would recommend this park during the day. I dont know how the night is. Does have restrooms lots of walking area. Nice to bring the family for an afternoon of fun.

Went for the River festival and I loved the experience, the art, the food and the music.The park is beautiful and I know would be serene on quiet days.

Great open spaces and room for kids to run and play. During the summer there are concerts on Thursday nights. In 2020 the physical process of restoring the river will begin that will be a wonderful transformation with bike and walking paths and the ability to boat on the river.

Nice venue for the Smoky Hills Festival. Ive attended this annual event in Salina 2 or 3 times. Always a huge variety of art vendors, jewelry crafters, musicians, food vendors and just about anything youd want to see or buy from very expensive to affordable hand crafted items. They do a great job with this Festival!

Oakdale is a big, wide open park with multiple playgrounds, lots of tables and covered areas, tennis courts, and plenty of good shade trees. Theres a garden to walk through, drinking fountains, and frequent events all year.I grew up going to this park, and Im still proud to take my kids here.

It has a great playground for kids and tennis courts. The is an area with flowers and bushes and trees with a water fountain and gazebo. A beautiful setting for weddings or other photo opps.

My favorite Salina Park. We grew up visiting this park. It used to have two beautiful white suspension bridges, they have been replaced by much safer steel bridges. The park has memorials at the North entrance and the statue of liberty at the West entrance. The flower walk and all the mature oak trees really make this one a standout. It is always very well maintained and has the City Park Department Offices and maintenance shop in the Northeast corner. A great place to visit!

Might have a bit of a skewed view since I went there for the LeadSled carshow but it is spacious and clean and we had a great time. The layout is varied enough as well as spread out enough for different activities to be going on in various parts of the park without them bothering anyone else. Nice older park with character!
