We had a great time, and I would definitely recommend this place. The kids loved it, and the staff was incredibly kind and helpful. More of a bouldering gym, if that makes a difference for you. Great workout, too! And the kids were exhausted when we left.

My brother in law took me here recently, first time ever to a climbing gym, the staff is super helpful as well as all the other people that are there climbing. I felt very comfortable even for a beginner! Dont hesitate to check it out!

The last time I was there, one of the staff member came over and climbed with me for a while. He gave me some great tips and awesome advise, and I was able to climb more difficult routes than I had before! I really appreciated him taking his time to help me.

Really nice bouldering gym. Tiny free weight area, but they do have em. Lots of varied routes, well spread out. No showers etc but changing rooms. It was my first time here, and oh yesss they do have a small bar here thats open in evenings.

Ive only started climbing recently, but from everything I have seen is amazing at the Rock Boxx!! Already bought a shirt and I plan to go again this next weekend!!

This is the first rock climbing gym I have frequented but it has been great so far. The routes tend to be well thought out and accessible for both beginners and more advanced climbers. The staff are helpful, classes are included in the membership if you want to learn the ropes (or holds rather), and they partner with local businesses to get you membership discounts. Their Facebook page stays active so you know when the walls have changed routes and when they have added new stuff. They are constantly expanding their fitness section offerings and investing back into the gym which is nice to see as a member!

Setting is no joke. Huge spread with plenty to choose from. Staff was really sweet:)P.s. Jesus loves you

Used to go on a weekly basis, but lately it’s been overrun with kids running and/or climbing directly underneath me. I’ve had to bail on routes in sketchy ways to avoid landing on top of someone. Not super impressed with the route setting either.

My hometown climbing gym. Great place for indoor bouldering, or to get a good workout in! Their annual comp the Shamrock Showdown is well run, and is awesome for both new and experienced climbers

Great bouldering gym. They change the routes frequently and there is a good variety of walls and angles. Something for everyone. Theres a slack line as well and a kids area with a slide. The staff are friendly and helpful. I went one time and decided to get a monthly membership, and Ive brought about 10 people who go consistently. Great place.

I climb here 2-3 times a week. They have great class instructors, change routes often, the place is always clean, the staff is so friendly, and I really feel at home here. Not to mention, the rates are great and they often offer membership deals.

Everyone’s gotta start somewhere. I’m grateful Rock Boxx has an inclusive atmosphere that didn’t make me feel the slightest bit insecure about my fitness level of size.

Its for kids, and not for adults. Pretty embarrassing to be the only adult in the building actually attempting to climb the walls.

Great place to boulder; lots of climbing options. Downside, it only has bouldering and there are times when the place is crawling with children who run around hogging up routes and run under climbers.

This gym is great for anyone, beginners to experts. The routes (also called problems) are quite varied, from vertical walls to an overhanging cave area. Lessons are offered to help you get started if you want, and all of the staff are passionate about climbing.

Okay, so before this place had opened I might have gone rock climbing or bouldering once or twice in my whole life. This seemed strange to me considering how active I typically am. Turns out the only reason I hadnt gone more was because there was no place to go close to me!Since Rock Boxx opened Ive gone about 5 times, even despite all the blisters from going! Its an incredibly fun activity and a wonderful facility. I cant speak for how good the courses are for experienced climbers, but for newbies theres more than enough to keep you entertained and provide a challenge as well.

I took my kids, 7 & 8, for one of the spring break kids camp days. They both had an amazing time. The staff is amazing - they are knowledgeable and supportive, and my kiddos had a blast. And they were asleep before we hit the highway. So much win. We will definitely be back for summer camp days.

Effeciennt use of space. There is a little of everything for everyone. Good wall elements, good gym equipment to build strength... Even a slackline for balance. Relaxed atmosphere.

Last Saturday was the first time I ever been to the Rockbox. I brought my two kids there. it was in the summer and it was very hot there and there was hardly nobody in the Rock Box.it was very nice the staff gave us personal training on the colors of the rocks spent a good amount of time showing us how to climb and how to use the system I appreciate the staff there. he was very courteous and spent the time to help us I recommend the Rockbox to anybodyI enjoy climbing trust me I was very sore the next day and I was able sleep the night straight through. COOL....

Great bouldering and friendly staff. They have routes that vary greatly in difficulty.

Very friendly staff. A lot of the other gym goes are friendly and as a beginner to bouldering many are willing to give tips and advice.

Great venue. Good for kids, beginner climbers to advance climbers wanting to keep their skill in tact during the off season.

Great gym. Bouldering problems are updated regularly which keeps things interesting. The addition of the taproom has been a nice touch, especially after a Friday evening climb. Can get a bit crowded at times, but its nice to see this amount of interest within the Salem community.

Great place my granddaughters have been there several times and enjoy it plenty of room for individual or group parties

Its a nice little bouldering gym with a campus board and weight training area. There is no shortage of difficult routes and a nice bar upstairs with several local brews on tap.

Just took my 4 y/o son here and had an amazing time. He was able to start in the kids area and progress out to the main floor after a short while.

I had a great time. I am actually paying for the membership for a month.

Fun time as a guest. My kids liked it. I would like to see them add a larger kid area if possible.

Prices were recently increased but it is still a very affordable climbing gym. The music is great and they offer a variety of classes outside of just bouldering.

I do really like this place except sometimes parents let their kids run wild and it can get dangerous. The set up is very cool with no ropes and you just fall into the mats below the climbing wall. At the same time that can be a problem if someone is below you.

Fun place to climb. A little pricy.

The rock boxx is fast becoming one of my favorite places in Salem. The bouldering routes range from total beginner to nearly impossible, and they change it often enough to give you time to overcome them, but also keep it fresh. All ages come to use the wall, and theres even a younger age area tucked into the corner. The staff are always friendly and willing to help. Also, if you get tired, you can always visit the taphouse on the second floor. Overall, an excellent establishment that I owe the world to for getting my lazy butt moving again!
