This is a neat place to meet friends. There is plenty of room to socialize. The bowling lanes can be reserved for a private party. Its a great place for a 1st date. Id recommend one of the couches or barstools with a view. The free games are tic-tac-toe and corn hole. The hostess will validate your parking for 2 hours. I would go here more often, if the parking wasnt so horrible in the area.

I love coming here! The food is good and not terribly priced. The environment is so energetic and amazing. They offer karaoke, arcade games, bowling, VR gaming, and board games as well. There is so much to do here, you could really come for any occasion. I would definitely say it’s for an older crowd (as in not really an environment for children) but a great place to go out with friends or family for fun or for a celebration!

Atmosphere is awesome. Food is great....overall a good place to hang out and have a good time. We did encounter an issue that is forcing me to give them only 3 stars- service. Basically there wasnt any. We had to ask for everything needed to drink and eat. We had to ask to order when 3 servers were not busy, asked for limes with our tequila, asked for napkins and then had to ask for utensils. We even had to ask for ketchup to go with the fries. At one point after asking for utensils to eat with, our server asked if we even needed them? I was a little lost on the question since my meal was not finger food. I would go back since the food was great and the place was fun. Hopefully next time I can give them 5 starts!

We went here for our weekly family fun day. There are great sources of entertainment all throughout the space from jinga, airhockey to arcades,TVs, bowling, and karaoke. Its new, hip and the ambiance is cool. Where they seriously miss the mark is the food/beverages and service. It sounds really good when you read it on the menu but its seriously bland and fails to live up to the hype. We had onion dip that had great texture, lots of chives and whole garlic cloves but it was watery and packed basic salt and pepper but the chips with it are decent. The black eye pea hummus/crudite plate was pretty on the plate but again, no flavor. The chicken had a great breading and crunch but again, zero flavor; not even a granule of spice or herbs and the breading was burnt on two of the three orders. The sriracha fries looked great but excessively priced $10 for a plate of hyped up fries. Can I have a side of sriracha with those million dollar sriracha fries? The cooks salad was beautiful but again was very disappointing because it lacked basic flavor at $15. The shakes are flavorful, fun and taste great. The housemade nonalcoholic lemonades are grossly overpriced at $7 served in a 4 or 5 oz. cocktail glass and no refills. The best dish of the night was the Impossible burger. It was grilled perfectly, had perfect seasoning, a good ratio of condiments to veg patty; good eats. We shouldve ordered 7 of those with fries and shakes. The young men at the service counter to pay for games were welcoming, helpful and knowledgeable. The karaoke room is very entertaining but feels like a sauna because the ac wasnt working and the Walmart fans couldnt cool it down with the door needing to stay closed so you dont disturb others. The kids enjoyed the old school arcade games. The service still needs some work because the hour and half we were in the kaorke room an opportunity to profit was missed. Not one server came over to make money off us (they have 3 bars) and we wouldve gladly purchased every drink we could to hydrate in that sweltering room, considering we saved hundreds by walking in versus reserving the karoke room ahead. You must go and experience the space for yourself. Go with fun people, youre sure to have a good time because we did. Be sure to ask for a side of flavor with your meal.

A spacious game-filled space for kids and adults to enjoy. The menu is tasty and not traditional. The negative part of our experience was our server. When we arrived it was very quiet and we had a group coming in from a breast cancer walk. We were quiet, polite, and kind. But she seemed so miserable and unhappy that we were there. Everything she said and did was rude or a big downer. Once another server stepped in to help she was great. It turned the experience around because the first one made us question if we should just leave. In the end, we had a nice lunch and fun letting the kids bowl.

This is a fascinating venue and I am thrilled that it is now in Sacramento. There are many different things to do, and it would be a fantastic restaurant and play area to bring friends, family and company to. I only have two issues to bring up. One, the staff ability is spotty, meaning that some are quite good and some are very not (either slow, unknowledgeable, arrogant, or all three). Two, they have a giant Jenga game that crashes on the floor with a startling blast. I have to admit that its fun to watch people doing Jenga, but the insanely loud noise upon the crash is overly jolting. Some friends of mine told me that there punch is not very tasty, and the house Chardonnay is very weak. However, they do have some nice happy hour specials. I particularly enjoy the chips and onion dip, but the grand champion are the street tacos which are completely sublime and you could easily throw down 10 of them! If Only They had a better staff this would probably be one of the greatest spots in Northern California. Luckily it brightens up DOCO a bit.

Reserved a table for a birthday party of 6. While we waited for our food to arrive, about 4 different waiters/waitresses tried to give us food and drinks that were not ours 5 different times. When 4 of us finally recieved our food the other 2 had to wait. And wait. And wait. When we asked about our food, the server told us it was not put in and we could order again but would have to wait. We cancelled that portion of our food. The server laughed and said well maybe the other people in your party will share their food with you. No apologies were made. No offers were made to get something quickly out to us. 2 stars for this birthday lunch experience. 2 of us left hungry. The other 4 took some of their food to go.

Great concept for a spot, fun activities but the service was TERRIBLE. Very rarely do I complain about service but it was below a competent level. Went there twice during my stay and both times I had to bring a server over myself multiple times. We needed a bigger table cleared off, I asked 2-3 different people if they could help and was simply told someone will do it. On top of that, when it came to closing out our bill, nobody came by our table for a good 30-45 mins.

They said they cleared it up and I paid mine only to see a side of fries added to my bill as well. Guess what, my friend already paid for the one ordered and got the extra taken off his. But for some reason it got transferred to mine.Other than that, fun place to socialize. Music playing but not too loud that you cant talk. FUN BUT NEEDS TO BE MANAGED BETTERThis was my first visit to Punch Bowl Social. I have heard a lot about it, and when I was visiting Sacramento decided to check it out. We had a good visit and would go back. However, the execution on the food and service needs to be better for this place stay popular. This is a BIG place with plenty of room to accommodate any size group as well a huge main bar thats perfect for catching a game. The Kings play right next door so I imagine this place is pretty busy before and after games during the basketball season.I went with my wife, my sister, and 2 year old kid. We really liked the way the place looked and felt. The atmosphere is fun and easy going and there was plenty of room for my little one to roam around and check things out.Punch Bowl Social provides its guests with lots to do from bowling and arcade games (two VR rooms too) to board games and karaoke. One thing to keep in mind is that it is very popular so its best to call early to reserve the bowling and karaoke early on. You shouldnt expect to walk right in and get access to these things. Also, because its a big place and pretty busy that means you may not have access to a lot of what they offer. Not only was karaoke and bowling booked up, but because of private parties we couldnt gain access to the arcade either. Ultimately we were limited to playing Hungry Hippos at our table which was fine for our 2 year old, but could be disappointing for older groups looking to have some fun. There are other games too, but overall if you go on a busy night I think it will be hard to get access to the more popular things here. The menu has pretty good all around offerings. They make sure to tell you that it is designed by a James Beard Award Winner. The trouble we had was with the execution. The food wasnt bad at all but I would measure your expectations. Its better than most eatertainment type restaurants but I didnt walk out thinking I just at an award winning dinner.Another point on execution is that because this place is so big its a lot to manage. When we walked in we didnt really know where to go or what was going on. No one seemed to be concerned with greeting guests (there are multiple entrances) and most the serving staff, while pleasant, did not seem too interested in engaging with guests (not as interested as they were in talking to each other). When I come to a restaurant like this I expect to see multiple managers walking the floor and making sure everything is going well. I only saw one and he was on his phone at the front desk. Again, everyone was pleasant but you get the feeling that things a are little disorganized and no one is on point. So dont be surprised if the service is somewhat middle of the road.

So. Much. Fun. I’ve been here multiple times since they opened with varying types/sizes of groups and always have a great time. Sure, they’re new and still working out some kinks, but with so many different activities it’s hard to not find some fun no matter if it’s crowded or your first choice activity (bowling, for me) is booked. Real darts, too!! Shuffleboard!! Skeeball!!I brought my sister and her family (including two very young ones) for brunch once, and there was some mixup that really delayed the food... we almost had a DEFCON 5 situation with hungry young ones, but a Manager deftly stepped in, brought free biscuits (yum) to tide them over and then ultimately comped the meal. Staff went above and beyond to fix this “growing pain” issue and I have no doubt that they’ll be a finely tuned operation very soon. Great addition to Sac scene.Tip: check the arena schedule, and show up 10 min before a Sac Kings game or Arena event begins and you’ll have the opportunity to really enjoy every thing they have to offer.
