I had a total of 4 sessions done by Ryan for my half sleeve and I must say the experience was above and beyond what I was expecting. I gave Ryan a concept of a scene I was trying to capture with not a lot of clarity and he produced something amazing.I trusted him with a lot of creative freedom for this project and I’m glad I did because I’m obsessed with how my tattoo came out. He’s a warm, welcoming, and very professional artist who truly serves his clients and knows his field. The rest of the team at White Buffalo Gallery were also really great to interact with; the way the shop operates is truly special.Overall, I’m honored to have worked with Ryan and HIGHLY RECOMMEND him to anyone looking for an artist who will work hard for you to create something that will last a life time.

Just got a cover up started with Ryan. Absolutely amazing colors were added to my tattoo. He did a great job blending everything together and covering up mistakes in my old tattoo. Great relaxed environment and everyone is very friendly.

Excellent experience through and through. After searching and meeting with a few other artists in Northern California unsuccessfully I finally came across this gem of a place, White Buffalo Gallery. I reached out to Ryan Lewis to cover up a foot tattoo that I regrettably had done years ago. I’m so thankful Ryan was comfortable with taking this project on and doing such an amazing job. I was super nervous the day of and wasn’t 100% sure on what to expect but that all went away quickly. He turned my previous embarrassing (to me) tattoo into a beautiful art piece that I now love and admire and just as I had hoped he kept it virtually the same size as the original.The shop was welcoming, very clean, comfortable and nicely set up. When my best buddy passed away, I wanted to get his portrait tattooed on me and it was very important it was done well and captured his personality. Dugi had done a tattoo for my husband and some friends in the past and I knew he would do an amazing job with this. So, even though I had moved out of state, I scheduled an appointment and planned a trip. Dugi did an amazing job and was very friendly and personable throughout the appointment (even though my ability to speak was a bit limited). He made me feel very comfortable during the whole process and was very thorough in getting all the colors true to life even with the semi blurry, poorly lit picture i provided. And, knowing we had to do it in one sitting, completed the piece very efficiently. It was a wait for an appointment but well worth it when all was said and done! I am in love with this piece!

So like a lot of people I had a tattoo that I had gotten some years back that I was no longer fond of. I wanted to get my husband his 1st tattoo by a really good artist so I did a Google search for the best tattoo artist in Sacramento. Let me tell you about my experience at White Buffalo Gallery. I walked in with a really cool idea, and talked to John Laurent. After speaking with about 6 different tattoo artists that day, I thought FINALLY I found the PERFECT guy to do my tattoo. He didnt just do my tattoo. He KILLED it!I recommend contacting John if you want an incredibly detailed tattoo. I think realism is his specialty. I couldnt be happier to wear this work of art. He gave me my own custom design, and made an honest effort to perfect everything I asked him to do. Super humble, and easy artist to work with. Im definitely looking forward to getting more ink done here in the future!

I had a very large color piece, tiger and flower tattoo done by John Laurent. I am so happy with it I cant believe how realistic and beautiful it turned out!!!! Ryan is hands down the best tattoo artist in the area. I am currently finishing a sleeve from him, and of all my tattoos, his works gets the most compliments from everyone. He really cares about the artistic side of tattooing and it comes across in his work. He is an all around great artist, but he kills it at color and black and gray realism. It is easy to see why people travel from all over to get tattooed by him.The White Buffalo gallery is just one more thing that sets Ryan above the rest because it shows his passion for Art but also creates a positive, comfortable environment for clients and collectors who come in. The shop is covered in amazing artwork which provides inspiration for clients, but also reminds us that we too are lucky enough to leave with a one of a kind piece of art on display for everyone to see.

I love Sam Laurents art and ink. He did my sleeve on my right arm. I love how he free handed my ink it looks so nice. Im always getting complements. My son got his first tattoo from Sam also. I will always recommend Sam Laurent to any one that is serious about ink.

I really can not say enough great things about Ryan and his amazing ability to take a gorgeous piece of art and recreate it on a person. He is simply the best artist in Sacramento. I have had the pleasure or working with him for 3 separate tattoos, and hoping to have him work on a correction for a piece I had done years ago. Where to start, not only is Ryan an absolutely amazing tattoo artist, but he is such a down to earth person that connects with his clients! The atmosphere at White Buffalo Gallery was so relaxing and friendly I felt right at home and was eased of any nerves! Every idea I had for my piece was incorporated into it and he really listened to every detail I was imagining for my piece. I cant imagine going to anyone else after getting my tattoo from him! Ryan is the most amazing tattoo artists Ive ever met! He covered up three of my ugly old tattoos with gorgeous artwork, and blended the lines so no one can see them. I m forever grateful for the transformation and I will ONLY go to Ryan.

Over all, great place and Ryan is super cool and down to earth. His new shop is extremely nice and clean. Ive been working on a half sleeve for a 6 months now and he has taken every aspect of what I want and adding it to the piece. Not only that but he has been really cool about working with my schedule and getting me in to get more done. I have had the pleasure and privilege to have 2 incredible tattoos done by Ryan. He has done a Marilyn Monroe Portrait and a portrait of my mother, both stunningly beautiful. I went to White Buffalo Saturday for a cover up, that was long over due! Id been really bummed for some time, few things are worse than a shitty tattoo, on you forever, especially one of significance...I searched high and low for someone to cover it up, when I was finally fortunate enough to find Ryan El Dugi Lewis and his mind blowing work!The shop is super nice, hella clean and minimalist. I love the gallery as you enter and that the whole place only mildly resembles a tattoo studio.Really friendly and welcoming environment. I was almost instantly relaxed when Ryan greeted me, hes very friendly and personable, super easy to talk to and very conscience of my wants and desires for my piece.I can not rave enough about the final outcome, Im ecstatic and its far beyond everything I imagined! The colors are so bright and vibrant, full saturation and my old tattoo is well hidden in the design, success! Everyone that has seen it is blown away by how beautiful it is.All and I, I had an amazing experience, I will be going back again and again and again...I hope he knows, he just became my artist.*bonus points we listen to the same Pandora station!*

I know this might seem rude because all of these tattoos are amazing but i just turned 18 and want to get a tattoo, I’ve been thinking about it for a while, I just wanted to know about the prices, it’s rude I know because these are amazing artist doing awesome work and if you’re good at something don’t charge cheaply, but my budget isn’t the best lol
