We recently visited Fairytale Town for a fun family outing, and had such a wonderful time! Our two younger sons (twins 1.5 years old) had a great time visiting the farm animals, running through the grass, and playing on the train. Our oldest son (4 years old), loved exploring the crooked mile, Owls tree house with the slide, and looking at the snakes in the reptile house. All 5 of us enjoyed lunch at the snack shack (tons of kid friendly options like uncrustables, applesauce pouches, etc...)I also like that the restrooms have child size toilets! It was so nice for our recently potty trained child to be independent while using the bathroom. We had a great time, and hope to visit again very soon.
Probably better for younger children (mine are 7 and 8). The birds were awesome and the koi fish pond looked a bit small for the amount and size of the fish. A lot of the other animals weren’t out (it’s hot) and everything was kid-size which was nice. Masks are required due to covid-19 restrictions even though the entire park is outdoors.
Fun family friendly activity that does not cost an arm and leg. Kids ages 7-2 had a blast! Will be back again
Everything was clean and was constantly sanitized including the slides. The reservations onli e made it a lot easier to get our group in and know it would bot be overcrowded during this time of covid.
Love bringing the kids here. It is awesome for little kids to play around for a few hours. Not much in the way of food choices, so bring snacks.
My children had a blast here! We got the combo tickets which included the Sacramento Zoo across the street and Fairytale Town. What a great morning! So many different structures and playgrounds for the kids to play on. They do have some learning display throughout the facility. Also a few animals which the kids can pet. It’s a really good time for the children. The staff here is all very friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone and do plan on coming back in the near future.
Such an awesome place for young children! The Fairy Tale theme is creative and great for even the adults to figure out which nursery rhyme goes with each play area! Very open ended for the children and safe enough to let them explore on their own a bit. It is still up to the grown up to watch their own children though! There are live animals to interact with and some activity and play places designed for older children, not recommend for young children. Overall a fantastic place for the children and adults!
I love this place! Started going here as a kid myself and now I’m able to bring my daughter. Friendly staff and great prices
You pay entrance now instead of tickets, $50 for 2 adults 2 children... Its fun for kids tall enough to ride alone. Im 58 and can barely get my legs in when Im required to ride with my little ones.
Fairytale town and Sacramento Zoo are just across the street to each other. Fairytale was more fun for the kids. All the slides here are amazing and creative. Like you go inside a house and the climb stairs and boom you are ready to slide, crooked street walk was fun for both our toddler and my cousins 5 years old kid. There is a castle too. If there is no party going on you can go there too.
It was awesome to see the way it was entertaining my grand kids...they were in awe.
Really fun and they take the covid very seriously. I saw them wiping things down and enforcement on masks. I did not make my three year old wear one as it was over 100 degrees but we stayed away from others and sanitized a lot. Only complaint would be to add more food in food court.
Many groups of people not wearing masks or social distancing. They do not make people leave who choose not to wear a mask. We ended up leaving not long after we got there because there were so many people not wearing masks or social distancing. They do take your information when you enter so they can contact trace you incase one of these people do test positive for Coronavirus.
Super fun and great experienced. I was really impressed those fantastic areas inside.
Adorable, outdoor playset for kids. Well shaded in most areas so you dont have to worry about getting burnt on the slides.
Super fun..when i went it wasnt too crowded which was a relief. I saw employees actively cleaning the attractions. You are advised to MAKE A RESERVATION.
Im from L.A and was visiting Mom near by and I looked this place up on Google, took my kids and it was nice, we got there kind of late so we didnt really do everything we could ve, but over all its a pretty place for kids to enjoy themselves and burn some Xtra energy. Go early so you enjoy everything, closes at 4:00 pm too early
Most loved place of adults and children! My grandchildren had the time of their life playing in the fairytales from the 3 pigs with REAL PIGS to Old Woman who lived in a shoe, The little engine that could, ect ect ect. A place that brings you back to your childhood as you enjoy watching the wonder and amazement of your youngsters. Theres live animals that are so well cared for and extremely clean pens, clean water and food and all appear extremely healthy. The children can touch many of the animals and theres handwashing at each exhibit. Each exhibit coincides with a fairytale. The dplay equipment all coincides with fairytales and is in excellent condition and all very maintained and in safe working order. All throughout Fairytale town they have a river flowing but its very little water. They might have a couple inches at deepest but the blue paint appears as water. Really good admission prices. I paid for 1 child and 2 adults 22.00 total. What a fun day with very little expense. The staff is friendly and helpful. A woman had her child run off and she was immediately assisted by every staff member until the child was located. I was very impressed because when a child goes missing you want EVERYONE to know and assist to until found. That they did. Id suggest that protocol be changed so that NOBODY can leave or enter, gates close until missing children are located Im sure every parent would agree if faced with same situation. Still I was impressed at the urgency of the staff. Parking is close, right outside gate, disabled parking is in front and very close. Sacramento Zoo is directly accross street in 1 min walk. Sunderland amusement park is across the street in opposite direction and also within walking distance. Its a full day of family fun. Many schools have taken advantage of these great adventures for Fieldtrips. I highly suggest coming here with your children age 1 to 101! Never had so much fun watching kids have the best time.
My kids always have a lot of fun here. Lots of different play structures for climbing and slides. All the areas are based off of fairy tale stories. There is a few small animals you can pet, if they come close enough. Bathrooms are located close in proximity to the structures. You can book birthday parties here as well.
It is good for my baby she love it pluss it was free
Always a great fun place for kids. Safe and clean. You can spend a few hours here letting the kids run around and burn some serious energy.
Nice place to bring the little ones and have a wonderful time. Had seating in shady areas.
Great place to take my 5 year old.
Fairytale Town is really cute and designed for more younger kids. Lots of cute play structures the kids will enjoy. Benches for the parents to rest. There is no gift shop or cafe on site.
Not much to do for a toddler. But the price wasnt too bad to get in
Nice place to spend time with family and kids. There are ducks, rabbits, goats, fish, a horse, and lots of slides for the kids.
A great place for toddlers to learn and play! Can see the main entrance from the street, parking is not too bad, prices were very reasonable, service was very friendly and there are plenty of options for kids to interact with.
Got some beautiful maternity photos near the area (park/ ponds) parking will be a struggle if its a beautiful weekend but people are in and out constantly. My children have been there and really enjoyed it.You only have to pay for admission and then the kids can have all access. Any shows may be extra, just verify.
We had a blast. My boy and his cousins played on basically everything. Pet some of the animals, saw all the animals. I plan to take my boy back again.
My two year old niece planted herself on the ground and refused to leave after being there for two hours. She was in love. Well kept and fun park!
My daughter loves it.
Awesome place. Much better than the zoo for really little kids (under 4). Basically a huge park with fairy-take themed slides and play structures. As an adult, it’s just fun to walk around! The crooked mile is the most fun, but I recommend going when it’s not too busy.
Okay I need to go in. The a face book page because they had the best customer service and even better we had the park all to our selves. Felt so Blessed Good work it out for ù my family on the 4th of July. They cleaned every ride we got off of. And my one son started to Kim like he was dehydrated and he was they checked on him. They had masks on the whole entire time in the 104 inhibit was tvg day. No piggies cuz my phone died.
This place is wild! A lot of it remains largely as it did in the 1950s. So its like *Heres a big iron train* or *A fiberglass piece of cheese. Dont hurt yourself* brought to you by Western Insurance Conglomerates, Standard Oil, the Ladies Auxiliary, the Junior League (1958)I bonked my funny bone on a big pumpkin and it still smarts. My kiddo climbed on a big foot. There were goats and a donkey.Would play again.
Playground was closed due to the Coronavirus, but its a nice place for toddlers to play.
My kids, 6 and 8, absolutely love this place. We have been going here for years and they never get tired of it. We stay the whole day and they never stop playing. If you have active kids, this is the place for them. Lots of physical activities, as well as imaginative play. The theme of the place is, as the title suggests, fairytales. It is ideally for younger kids (preschool age) but my kids are older and they have a blast. There are lots of animals to interact with. Face painting and a snack bar, too. Birthday parties are a big hit here. The Sacramento Zoo is just a short walk across the street.
Lots of imaginative playgrounds for exploring and make-believe! Free for military in the summer!
I remember being a kid here and loving it. Now its still spectacular and a good spot to catch Pokemon
Fun and interesting place for adults and children entertainment.
Amazingly wonderful, perfect for young kids! I love all the low tech interactive activities for young children. The fun slides, the amazing connections to familiar stories, the timeless wonder .. Its all so fun for everyone! The animals are a great bonus! My kids loved the teepees!!
It’s always a blast to take little people here and watch them light up like they are in another world. You can make a day here in Land Park walking the neighborhood, the duck pond and visit the Sacramento Zoo. My favorite time of year here is fall and winter. Put on some warm clothes and spend time outdoors!
I loved everything but the fact that your not allowed to go down the slides with your little ones
Love it there at fairytale town, had so much fun. My three boys and my little girl had a blast, also it was humpty dumptys 60th birthday.
Fun with the kids, clean place.
I wanted to break in. It was night and it looked whimsical and also very nostalgic. 10/10 would reccomend playing at night
Fairytale Town is a fun place to bring younger children 8 & Under. The park has been improved recently and is in better shape than it was 5 or 10 years ago.Entrance fees are inexpensive and Parking is free! Take a walk down memory lane and visit Fairytale town. Your kids or grandkids will thank you.
Such a cute little place my son had a blast on all the slides. Great family time place.
Best place to take little energizer bunnies! You can run their energy out there and bring them home happy and exhausted! I love their little hidden jungle gym. I would definitely make that a once every 2 week visitation place!
Awesome place for kids! Theres no other place in Sacramento like it (that I know of).Filled with life sized storybook characters and fun things for kids to do (a maze, slides, climbing objects, animals), its pretty fun for kids and their parents! This stop was for one of their evening winter specials. It was filled with lights and was pretty neat!
I have a lot of fun memories as a child playing here. I loved when our mother took us here! Its absolutely wonderful for kids and their imagination.
Its awsome place for everyone
This place is always a great place for kids. My son loves it!
Found this place on the way back from Tahoe. Its a nice stop for the kid. This is a fun&cute theme park with affordable price. Highly recommended.
Went with the nephew. He had a blast in the garden and feeding the Koi.
If you have a little one and you live within 20 minutes of Fairytale Town, an Annual Pass and a Souvenir Cup is the kind of deal you cannot pass up. Fairytale Town allows you to stand back and watch your child immerse themselves in a landscape that brings their favorite stories to life.
Fairytale Town is a classic location to take your kids in the Sacramento area. There are a lot of themed areas with play areas to climb and play on. There are also many places to eat a sack lunch or the snacks sold inside. I would highly recommend for a day that is not too hot. It can get miserable during the hot summer days. One cool feature is the magic key stations where you can swipe your magic key and hear a story or song at each location. It costs extra, but can be fun for kids. There are also farm animals around the park that you can pet.
Perfect place for toddlers and young children. Story book themed amusement garden. They also features live farm animals throughout the park. New features were being added last time we visited.
Memories for life. Took my son here for the first time a month ago and now every mile is a crocked mile. Bring your kids her before nap watch them run climb and discover it will where them out but keep you smiling.
Great. Especially for the little ones. And even much older folks too. Its been upgraded since I took my kids. Now Im taking grandkids. Great day out.
Great place for small children. Wish they had a better food selection. We went during a special Halloween night, so many happy familys
Fun and happy place.
I remember going here with my grandfather and my sister and always had a lot of fun. Now Ive gone with my sister and her little girl. She loves the place.
My gawd.....so fun.Parents, bring your comfy shoes and carb up. Youll be running.
My one year old loves it here! Great place to burn off energy with kids his age. Definitely 0-5Y friendly.**Go on a weekday admission is $4.75 and theres plenty of room to walk and play.
Great place for the kids to play.
It was a great time for me. Our Union picnic. The kids ran all around enjoying the slides and animals that were there. Loved it all. Got to listen to a band play, the Mayor and Senator Chan spoke. Great time
What a beautiful place! We loved it!
Great fun for $5. Great way to kill a couple of hours and free parking!
This was pretty great. I didnt realize until we got there that there are three parks including the sac zoo all within walking distance of each other surrounding a large field. The park was affordable and there was much to do for what we were looking for (a roadside pull off to keep kids entertained before a long drive). We will likely return next time we come thru.
Great place for kids to run around outside! Slides, climbing, and a few barn yard animals! Snack bar and souvenirs for purchase. Fun for kids 10-12 and youn
Similar to Oaklands Fairyland. I loved it!
$20 for two adults and two kids. Hours of fun with a good imagination. Very well taken care of facility.
Kitschy and cute...my 3 year old loved it
Very affordable admissions for the whole family. Right across the street is Sacramento Zoo. Its great for all day outing for kids and adults.
We love stopping at Fairytale Town when passing through the Sacramento area. It gives us, and our children, a break from the drive, get some energy out, and use their imagination. Its a $5 entry fee per person on weekdays. Come early when the animals are up and out! Fun place!
Good for the kids but hasnt changed in 30 years. Definitely could use some upgrades and refurbishment to bring new experiences.
The kids love it.
Fun place for the kids to run around and play. Not overly busy when we were they even though I noticed at least different birthday parties going on at semi-private picnic areas. Snack bar with some sandwiches available. Staff were friendly. $6 per person. We spent about two hours there but kids probably could have stayed for three or four and not get bored.
Nice place to take the little ones. Plenty of benchs for us grandparents to relax in the shade, and a lot of themed play areas for the children to enjoy! They even have some farm animals, and a working garden that they can help water. Just an awesome day of old fashioned family fun. I recommend it highly!
My kids (3 and 1) love this place. We come anytime were in town. Theres plenty of space for them to run and explore. We prefer weekdays or early visits to avoid the crowds. Parking is free and easy.
Still a fun place, even with the restrictions!
My kids had a great time here. They loved the coi pond!!!
Kids love this place
Good for young kids, particularly in the 2-4 range, but will not keep kids 7 and older entertained. Quaint, well kept for a non-profit on a budget, and the staff are always nice. The member nights are great. Parking can be a bit of a pain on a crowded weekend. Cant wait till the new construction plans are complete!
Good place to take young kids.
Great place for kids to spend all day there! Little farm to pet the animals and play area with the taste of fairytale.
Went for the winter wonderland event. Had a great time. My 3 year old loved it.
We went to go to the zoo but as soon as my little person saw fairytale town we end up spinning a good 3 hours in the park. We had such a great time I would recommend renting the key so you could play the songs and hear the storys of the zone you are in. And best of all the price to get in the unlimited fun was only $6.00
My 2 daughters and I really enjoyed ourselves.Crooked Mile is like a roller coaster if you happen to be wearing your Heeleys per my 10yr. My 6yr loved all the slides. We came just an hour before closing so we were not able to rent/use a story key, or able to try the cafe... which we werent too happy about... but very nice for a spare of the moment visit.
Its an inexpensive way to bring joy back into all things with heart beats around! I have been blessed with the chance to be be able to return to this place and the other attractions in Land Park as an adult Auntie and Godmother. Its as if time has never passes and the joy feels just as real as it did when I was the same age as my nephews, Nieves and godchildren. I highly recommend taking your kiddos if you can on one of those afternoons where the weather is bright and you dont mind spending under $100 for you and all your young ones to enjoy. Parents might even enjoy reading a book or something else while your kids play with all their heart having so much fun! Im so glad these places are still around, hope you will be too! Thanks for reading my review. Have a blessed day. (PS. Funderland will not disappoint and matches this same review!!!) ️
If you are traveling with kids, make sure to make a quick stop to this place, my 2 girls had an amazing time in this parkThey learnt a lot of cool stuffs
Great place as a kid and still great as a parent. They also have a really fun kid-friendly brewfest every summer
Its great for the kids. And the big kids.
Best place foe kids entertainment. WONDERFUL for holiday events. And regular days
Super cute park with displays depicting different fairy tales. Everything is kid sized. Super fun!!
Easy to navigate, low key but the kids absolutely love it. They could stay here for hours. Lots of places to sit and eat a home lunch.
Duck pond with a lot of lotus! Nice for picnic & birthday party. Lots of shades! Close to zoo, fairytale town, and funderland.
Great membership values! Awesome holiday events and a wonderful place to run the kids! If you are a local with kids, you should definately have a membership. We go at least twice a month and the kids (3 and 5) havent gotten bored yet!
Great place to take your toddlers too. Lots of little activities for kids. Id recommend going earlier in the day, even though theres plenty shade it can heat up quickly and the slides can get hot.
