Stone Branch School of Art

My son took art classes and did summer boot camp session from the time he was in sixth grade until he graduated high school. I cant speak highly enough about Stonebranch. We watched his art skills really blossom because of the focused instruction and feedback he received. It was a formative experience. If your child is interested in art, I definitely recommend you give Stonebranch a try.

Terri set up a class for me and taught me everything I needed to have the confidence to make and print my own designs and artwork. She is a fantastic teacher with a wonderful facility. Rockville is so lucky to have her and such a wonderful school. Hidden gem, I highly recommend signing up!

I LOVE the Stonebranch School of Art! I signed my son up for cartoon drawing classes and ended up taking some oil painting classes for myself. This was one of the best decisions I have ever made. the owner, Terri, is great and my instructor, Bruce was the best. I would highly recommend this school for anyone of all ages and abilities.

I really like (love) this art school. Iam a teenager and I take portrait, drawing and painting class. As a teenager Iam learning and the teachers are really kind and helping me through my arts.I have upgrade my skills a lot through an year. I feel like teenagers like me who love arts should come here.

Stone Branch Art is truly special place. My children have been attending classes here for five years. All of the instructors are excellent, creative artists who genuinely care about developing the talent in each student. The students are treated as individuals, learn many techniques and are encouraged to express their own ideas using a variety of media. I really cannot say enough good things about this school, I highly recommend.

Terrible camp experience. The focus of the camp is the teacher, not the students. Teacher clearly does not know how to keep kids engaged. Teacher routinely ends camp early and let’s the lunch hour run way over an hour. My 12 year old had a very boring week of camp.” Very disappointed.

I lived in Rockville, Maryland for 8 years. I went to Stone Branch for about 5-6 years. I absolutely loved it! I remember when there were only, like, two rooms and now the new expansion has brought so much! Stone Branch has grown a lot, and I hope that Ms. Terri and Mr. Melvin keep on teaching, and that Ms. June comes back. I moved to California, so I dont go there anymore, but it is a wonderful school. Stone Branch is a wonderful place where students are nurtured as artists and people. The instruction is outstanding and classes are small so each student gets individual attention.

Ive had personal experience with Terri, the main teacher. She was was always polite and warm with my children. Highly recommended. My kids have since also enrolled in the neighboring Karate and Music School as well. The whole area is highly family friendly.
