What a little gem. You could see kids having fun, laughing and having a great time. They have pony rides, petting farm, and a great playground. I highly recommend visiting. Me and my granddaughter sure had fun.
First warm day of 2020 best place to go wear the kids out. They had two goats and one LONELY donkey only animals out in the nice weather. Warm days like today best to have all animals out for the public to see and not keep them penned up in their barn. Otherwise its a good place to have family days at.
Cool place to take the kids for a petting zoo or do a birthday party.
This is our favorite park in the rockford area! There is so much to do, and it isnt usually too crowded.
Sharefest renovated Lockwood the week of 6/1/18. Come out and see the transformation and enjoy the beauty around you. 146 acres of pure joy!Update: I just posted some after renovation pictures. Sharefest did an AMAZING job! Even Millie the Mighty Cow was repainted. Be sure to check out the adorable covered bridge - great photo opportunity for weddings, birthdays, etc.
Ive always taken my Grandchildren here when they visit me, just down the road from my house. Many activities for all ages of children. Adult Horse Trail Rides, Cookout Areas, Childrens Pony Rides, they can also do the trail ride but you will need to call to ask re age limit. I like it. Well kept, even in the Winter you can find something to do here.
Great place for a fun family outing! Besides trails, Lockwood Park offers two playgrounds, a children’s petting zoo, horseback riding, rentable shelter houses, and more!
Nice place to take the family horseback riding. There is also a playground and small petting zoo with some goats and pigs. Not a bad way to spend the day with your kids.
We love going here. The play area is one of the cleanest in town. Love seeing the animals. Great place for kids.
I love bringing my family there
Love riding my horse there. Beautiful cool weather and no bugs
Great place to take the kids, and enjoy a lovely day out in the weather.
Beautiful park with barn animals & two nicely kept playgrounds. We went on a Friday afternoon & only got to see the goats & horses. All the other exhibits were closed, Even the bathrooms, information center & gift shop.
Had to use port a let as bathrooms werent open. Could use more than one of them! Nice afternoon with family otherwise
Fantastic. I think this place is wonderful for children and adults alike.

Great park and fun holiday activities
Family reunion. Had lots of fun
Lockwood Park - Pumpkin Festival - Just back home from Pumpkin festival. Very Good place to hangout a day with kids. There were pony rides, games and wagon rides. Pony rides(only kids) costs $3 and rest $2 per person. Kids can see few animals like Donkey, Duck, Rabbit, Horse and sheep. My 2 yrs daughter was excited to see animals and touch them. Pumpkin festival lasts only for 3 days in Oct, Columbus Day being the last day. Entry into the park is free. Only rides will cost you. There is children play area, However i noticed few of them were rusted and had sharp edges so i didnt let my kid go there. Other than that nice place and i would definitely visit Pumpkin Festival next year. Last but not least, keeping insect repellent in your bag is a good idea!!!
A great park with farm animals!
Very nice park different activities to do there
Very nice place to go with children. There are 2 playgrounds, one in the sunny side, the other one with trees shadows. You can see animals and its free. Many picnic tables.
Had a picnic here, nice park
Beautiful, kid friendly park!
Still love this place.
Washroom so far from the area that was rented, not a place for a person with limited walking distance
Free family fun
Great air the family
Great place for picnicking
Awsome park
My family loved this park so much I am afraid the park district will close or privatize it. This park includes a small farm with rabbits, ducks, chickens, pigs, goats, ponies, llama, and horses. You can make arrangements to board a horse at this park. There are horeseriding lessons, trail rides, seasonal pony ring rides, as well as seasonal events. In the fall your family can go on a wagon ride, enjoy Smores, pick pumpkins and go through a child sized corn maize all for an affordable price. Many events have reduced price tickets on Groupon. There is a large cow statue and a small pig statue my kids love to take pictures by. Their are two playgrounds. One is small but if you cross the covered bridge you can find a much larger one. There is a small pavilion and a large pavilion. The park could use some TLC but is still a wonderful place for families. I was there once in the evening and was amazed at the amount of families who walk to the park to spend time together. You could literally feel the happiness come in the park!

Took my daughter here for horseback riding lessons. Staff is very knowledgeable and nice.
This is one of the most unorganized, mismanaged facilities I have ever had dealings with.I tried volunteering last year and could not get anyone to respond to my calls. So I drove out there. I spoke with the volunteer coordinator. She gave me all the info she had on the halters program. She also told me she would be calling me to set up training. Never happened. Tried contacting her and got no response. Weeks later she sends me a message telling me she has sceduled me to work in an area I told her I was not at all interested in volunteering in, with NO training, on one of their busiest days of the year. I declined.Recently, I tried to contact them regarding a Native American drum making class they had advertised. Once again, absolutely no response. I even called the RPD main office and she tried to contact them; nothing. I left a message. No one ever called me. They really need to get it together out there.
I took my 4 year old to Lo cktoberfest to and have to say the staff at pumkin paradise went out of there way oook make my 4 year old happy.
Been going there for years. My boys raced at the BMX track.
Page Park has tobe wonderful. I knew it when it was only in the planning stages. The grasses were tall and the creek just wondered through the the farm. Those were the years of late fortys and early fiftys. Take good care of it, it is a jewel. MIght be back in the fall to check it out. So, take care. Bob Mackie
Love the trails here & watching the horses.
Good Park to take the kiddos
People here are SO RUDE! All the horses looked sick and they only had like 2 chickens.
