Always friendly staff and a lot of turtles! Sorry to find out about their big snapping turtle passed away recently. Always a joy to see their iguana! Looks like he enjoyed some food and taking an afternoon nap.

Surprisingly informative and well done. Make it a point to visit nature center while I am there.

I love the trails. It is quite a intense workout if you like to jog in the outdoors.

Great atmosphere, things to do for the whole family

Nicely done park with widely paved trails and staffed nature building. Several fields and courts to play various sports. Very large and well-maintained.Now if only the dog folks would be consistent in cleaning up their duties. ;)

A very fun place to go for a walk or run. It has a playground so you can keep your kids busy and a dog park for your 4 legged kids. It has sports parks to so youcan play ball.

Never knew this place had a nature center! Great for hosting birthday parties. A very knowledgeable employee teaches the kids about the reptiles and you even get to pet them!

Its the starting point of a great walk. Just be ready to spend 45 minutes in the woods if youre going on a walk. If not its just a cute place to stop in and look at stuff

Very pretty. Koi pond is very relaxing to sit near. Plenty of seats and an informative building. Updates seem regular and done with a lot of love.

This is a very nice park! It was originally made during the Great Depression by the Civilian Conservation Corps. So you also get a little bit of history education by going. There are well-marked trails that can give you a short walk or a long hike. Also while youre are here you can visit the Nature Center which is especially to be popular with small children. They also have many baseball fields. The most interesting part is they have archery ranges. If you are into archery this is the only place I know of in the Richmond area for you can go and play for free. Yes I said free! They also have a very nice dog park if you want to bring your dog for some fun play. If you have small children they also have a swing set and playground for them. There are also areas that you can rent for an outside party or barbecue, but remember that there is no alcohol allowed. So overall its a great Park to visit!

Great park with lots of amenities. Convenient location which is easy to get in and out of. Nature center is great and always has some interesting critters crawling/slithering around for the kids! No better place to get out and take a quick walk in Chesterfield.

Beautiful trails very safe public restroom tennis courts basketball courts and you can just walk around the park on a paved road if you dont feel like walking on the trails. Great for Pokemon playing

What a neat place to visit at Rockwood Park definitely something to the kids. Stumbled across this while walking the many hiking trails will definitely be back.

Had a great time with the granddaughter, post a lot of pictures from the time we were there. They have a great nature center, great play area, great swing area, with a double swing for the parents and the child, its really nice. The Parks really well kept up. All the people Ive met them in very nice very kind, the parents and kids share the equipment very nice, the parents dont let any of the kids monopolize anything.

I dont go here very often, but the displays are great to see - especially to bring a little one. The place has a nice wood smell to it and is very enjoyable.

Fun place to walk the woods and take our dog on a walk and play pokemon go. But I wish some of the trails were more clearly marked. Some of the side trails are overgrown or covered in foilage and could be concerning during the summer when snakes are more prevalent.

One of my favorite parks to go. Great trails for riding or holding, a nature center, baseball field, basketball courts, volleyball, rental areas available for rent, grills and much more.
