Super cool drive into downtown RVA after dark. Drive slowly and it looks like youre going into a mid-sized city with nice lighting - great view.

Ive driven over a lot of bridges in my time but this one is the best! My wife and I love driving over bridges. We moved to Richmond just over a year ago and just could NOT find a bridge to drive over that really catered to our needs--fun atmosphere, energetic, interesting without being to snooty or hipster, great service, good lighting. We asked around constantly about the best bridge and none of them fit the bill...UNITL we found this one! Definitely the king of bridges in all of the land of bridges! We will be long-time customers!

Google Maps has this bridge exactly right, and so does its StreetView. (A different well-known mapping service shows a location nowhere near the river, and over a mile from the bridge!)The review already posted is accurate, as well. So is the (May 2014) writeup in Wikipedia.I lived in Richmond from 1942 through about 2008, and still visit weekly. All of the info here is confirmed by my knowledge.
