This place was awesome. After living in Richmind 3 years, I finally managed to visit and I am so glad I did. Cool old maps of the area showing the ranches and properties before incorporation and lots of interesting exhibits and photos. The highlight is a Model A Ford, manufactured at the Ford plant in Richmond, on display which had been used for years as a municipal car and then restored and contributed to the museum. The building is an old Carnegie Library building as well. Not the greatest neighborhood, but, hey, its Richmond, not Beverly Hills! Definitely worth a visit, especially before or after seeing the Rosie The Riveter National Park Museum.
Lots of local history. Entrance is cheap and the experience is great since its small and not crowded.
I was expecting not so good but was actually a pretty good museum if your into history
Great place to learn about history of richmond
They open and close early so put this on the top of your list. Small city but a lot of history i wish more cities in America had a museum like this one.
Callous, thoughtless treatment of people with disabilities.
Small but Nice and interesting History of the city.
Not directed well enough to find
Love the place
