We loved our trip to Garden Grove Brewing. We drove out from Hampton Roads for the day and arrived almost at open. We ordered glasses of wine and from down the road at Burger Bach, an order of fries. Gorgeous weather, wine, and fries, what more could you ask for!

Dog friendly! They’re even allowed inside. There are a lot of tables as well as bar seating and a couch area, so lots of space for different guests. There’s also a bookcase full of games. I had a flight of 4 beer samples and they were all good. I’ll be back to try the wine sometime.

The atmosphere is interesting, they have a lot of rugs hanging on the walls. The wine was not good, but the cider was pretty solid would be willing to try those again but nothing stuck out that would be worth buying some for later. Im giving it a low score because when I went to use the bathroom there were cockroaches crawling around and if they are all over the bathroom with the lights on, they are absolutely every where there and it was disgusting.

A stupid name, but that’s my opinion and also the only negative thing I have to say about this shining example of people caring about delivering an excellent product! I can’t even begin to describe how surprised I was to have a flawless Helles and Czech Pils. Wasn’t a fan of the farmhouse saison, but it was a different take that didn’t suit my taste preference. The Schwartzbier is proof that black is beautiful doesn’t just apply to people. Collusion imperial stout is a nice lower ABV stout that has a depth of character larger than The Godfather and makes me want to commit some white collar crimes. Well done, peeps! I shall return!

The space is welcoming and the staff were friendly. They had a wide selection of beers and a small but tasty set of wines. This restaurant rotates chefs; I personally did not care for the one they had the day we went, but the food could be different the next time if another chef is working it. I would call it a fun experience worth trying, but this would not be a favorite place for me, both because theres no way to predict if the food will be of interest any given day and because I wasnt fond of their beers and meads.

First time in Cary Town and explored everything and ended up here for cold one. Very nice staff and great people stopped in who were regulars. The beer was really great. Many choices and twist on very familiar styles. They are more than happy to let you taste before you buy. They even brew their own ginger ale. Heading back next to Cary town and plan on stopping in and maybe getting a Growler to Go!!!!

Great Brewery! Loved the environment for friends to get together and have a few cold ones. The staff is awesome. If you have any questions on the beers themselves or recommendations on what is good the staff is very knowledgeable. They have a great variety of beer and even a few sparklers which I would recommend for someone starting craft beer drinking or your girlfriend you dragged out for the night.

AWESOME BEERS!!! Something here for every taste including a lot of really unique brews: barrel-fermented, Belgian-inspired, gluten-free...In-depth tasting notes/ingredient lists for every brew, perfect for tasting flights. The staff is a crew of beer nerds, but theyre friendly & fun to talk with. Comfortable and unpretentious space with a great little patio in nice weather. Family & pet-friendly. In case its still not obvious, I love this place!Favorite brewery in town, which says a lot in Richmond these days.

I should have known from the name ...and Urban Winery that there was going to be a level of pretention here. I came in about 2:00 p.m. on Friday April 19th. Im a late 40s gray-haired guy who buys and tastes a lot of beer. As I arrived, another couple walked in ahead of me, about my age. The barkeep was busy putting out stools around the tables. The tap room itself is a nice space, with plenty of seating, bright light, and a welcoming decor. The chairs are just metal stools with high tables, so not incredibly comfortable, but not bad. There is fast free Wi-Fi, and there are outlets available too, so you can plug in electronics if needed. There were also quite a few board games and diversions, as you find in hip breweries these days. The couple ahead of me ordered a couple beers off the menu, and it seemed they were not that familiar with the styles. The bartender did not seem that helpful in guiding them, just pushing them towards the helles as a default for someone who was not well versed in craft. The couple sat down to enjoy their beers, and I stepped to the bar and ordered a flight. The barkeep was all business, just wanting to know what to pour.I got my flight and settled down with my laptop to do some work and enjoy the beers. I found one good beer (the fruit bomb IPA), one I really did not care for (False Idol IPA), and two that were just okay. I planned to get another flight and sample the rest of the crew. The problem is there was loud death metal music blaring the entire time I was there. The couple who got the helles - left as soon as they finished their beer, complaining about the music. While I was there, another lady popped her head in the door - I think mainly to get out of the rain - but after hearing the music, she decided not to stop in. Another group of three walked in, a couple in their 50s with an older lady. They were specifically coming here to try glass of wine. They stepped in the tap room, checked out the beer and wine board, heard the music and decided this was not the place for them. After about 30 minutes there total, I couldnt take it any longer. I finished my flight and cashed out. I then went across the street and down a block to Thirsty Joes, where I had several more beers, and took a bunch home with me. Check out my review of Joes as well, its really good. This was my first visit to Garden Grove, and my last. Really nice tap room, but the beers were nothing to write home about, and it seemed the music was purposefully deployed to make anyone above hipster age feel unwelcome.

Incredible selection of beers and exceptional quality. Brew master Mike is incredibly knowledgeable, creative, and skilled at his craft and produces some of the finest beers Ive had (and Im a huge beer snob.) The brewery is a great size, has lots of fun weekly events such as trivia, live music, game night, as well as comedy night once a month and other theme nights. a great spot in Carytown for singles, couples, and families alike! The brewery is also a great venue for parties and personal events.

Few things we are reviewing here. First the team, JP / Mike / Ryan / Will / Jesse / etc really great folks who are passionate about the product and the company. Now the beer, I mean you have a large list to choose from, every taste bud if you cant find something that works for you well..... you know.... thats on you. The flagship Saison is bomb. We operate tours and special events there all the time and have always had an excellent time. Top five in the city, no doubt.

Dropped by tonight for the very first time to see The Band Dreadnot. I had skipped dessert prior to arrival in hopes of getting some sort of tasty treat here. Garden Grove only has a menu of alcoholic drinks. They offer a small eight to ten pre-packaged items for snack purposes (example given: peanuts, crackers, cheese with pepperoni snack pack and etc from the grocery store, I’m unfamiliar if they have a wider variety for lunch or not?) I wasn’t too fond of the whole layout. It reminded me of the Delta Sky Lounge in Atlanta without the buffet. They have lots of board games, a couch, a tv, some large group tables (six plus person seating) Although, they didn’t offer any type solid food intake, the bartender told me I could bring take away from a separate restaurant and eat it at Garden Grove. I figured that was more than generous.
