Love the programming they have here, especially the improv shows. This is a go-to for date night, with reasonable tickets, lots of entertainment, and a good beer selection. I like to arrive just a little bit early to pick out a seat, as its a smaller venue.

Great shows with talented performers.The location is awesome- right down the street from the VCU campus.The ticket prices are super reasonable- usually $5-$10 depending on the show.The shows are great- You can tell these guys are veterans of their craft.

We loved the show last weekend and we love the concept! Only reason why we gave it 4 stars instead of 5 stars is because the wine was horrible... but then again this isnt a bar! Haha We also wish they offered more classes!

A fun stop. A small, but well set up theater. We were there for an improv night where they had three groups perform about a half hour each. As with all improv, in was some hit and miss, but overall a good time. And the bar had a decent selection of beer and wine at not unreasonable prices.

Coalition Theater is hands down the best improv theater Ive had an opportunity to work with! Its the inviting, fun, and down to earth atmosphere that makes each night special, your bound to have a great time no matter what show you see.Also, they have beer (cans and drafts) and wine! Love having some cold brews and comedy to round out the night.

Went to a show that was described as an interactive murder mystery and ended up being an improv show. Probably would not have gone if I knew this, but I am glad I did not because it was super funny and a really fun time. Would definitely go again, and am now more open to improv!

One of their improv shows made suchh an awesome date night for my boyfriend and I! Super entertaining, fun, and even some crowd-involvement.BEWARE: Though its great that they serve wine (and beer I think), the wine we got was super old and had gone bad. Tasted like it had been opened for weeks before being served to us.

Wonderful people. Richmond people are just amazing. We performed a magic show there and it was phenomenal. I highly recommend it, and I along with my group of fellow performers will return!

Have come here a lot to support friends performing but genuinely have a great time every night I visit. Nice space, nice people, and have a good selection of drinks and snacks to help you enjoy the show.

Took a class here and loved every second of it! Warm welcoming feel and great actors and teachers! Cant wait to take my next class.

Improv can be hit or miss. Saturday was my 3rd time there... absolutely amazing every time. They offer classes too... gonna get in on the next group. Highly recommend this place.

Absolutely fantastic! Ridiculous funny! Then I took one of their improv classes. Now they cant keep me away. Highly recommend for a night by yourself, a date or somewhere to take your parents!

Amazing staple to Richmond! These folks are some of the best performers you’ll find and their shows are always amazing!

Comedy takes time. Sure. You can watch epic fails or Americas Funniest home videos and laugh your ass off for hours. But to create laughter, comedy, walnuts out of thin air? Thats impressive. I highly recommend this theatre.

Expect the unexpected here... Not your typical performance venue. The staff here are wonderful and very enthusiastic about the arts.

What a joke. We prepaid online for tickets to a comedy show and arrive 30 minutes early to find out they were out of boxed wine at their kitchen island for a bar. Their soda options were diet coke and....thats it. We asked the manager/owner/whatever he was if he would get a bottle and we would be happy to pay for it through the bar, but that was too much to ask. The place was empty and the only people we saw there were some kids running around who looked like they probably worked there. Ruined a good date night for my wife and myself....I tried to think outside of the box but ended up with an unhappy wife and no wine left IN the box. It wouldnt surprise me if they were out of business before this review hits the Internet.
