Let me just say, this is what a Resort is all about. GSR is my new home away from home, the property is modern, cleans, large and full of amenities. A cinema, bowling alley, 3 bars, a handful of restaurants, a cafe with jaw dropping desserts, fire pits (my personal favorite) and World Class Service . This place has it all and a bag of chips... The A rooms are worthy of AAA 4 Diamond designation, the deluxe rooms are clean and the perfect size for me when I visit. I really appreciate the 24 hour gym and that the Infinity pool is open (weather permitting) all the pools in Vegas as closed for the season so you got the right mindset by keeping at least one part open, and again the fire pits, get a drink go sit and have a good time (be safe wear your mask) and enjoy everything this resort has to offer :)

Beautiful Hotel with lots of activities to do. Our room wasnt what Id expect. The bathroom shower was built into floor, so by the time you are done, the floor is soaking wet, which was not pleasant. Some pieces in bathroom seemed unhinged and needed attention. Staff was nice and helpful and knowledgeable about places to go in and around Reno. We came on a busy Saturday, which was a bit uncomfortable for us even though we were told that there was only 25% occupancy. All in all, it was a great hotel and maybe once the virus is under control, we will return.

I stayed here in June 2020 and it was my first time there. I went for my marriage anniversary and wanted to surprise my wife. She loved the place and we both had a good time staying there. We will be returning this November 2020 to stay there again! The king deluxe room is the best room! The room had a nice view and lots of space in it, with a couch and beautiful bathroom! I enjoyed the shower it had!

I had family stay here a few weeks ago(paid for there Room) and I really liked how the room was clean and comfy some place id like to stay, so I received a free 2night stay so we jumped on it. We checked in on Sunday and everything went smooth even checked in early. But the longer we were in the room the more stuff I noticed. We were on the Casino floor in a smoking room. It felt like to me that if you are paying for your room itll be up to par but if its a Comped room it doesnt matter if its up to par or not! We wont be staying here again.

Negative: Third time coming to the place and I always have to call down and ask for towels I hate it !

This is a great resort. I literally didnt have to leave the property to do anything. Everything I planned on doing during the week i was here, I was able to do on the property. A lot of exciting things to doThe perfect place to spend my 23rd anniversary. I loved it!

Beautiful place good spacing a lot of parking the line is long but very fast. Very good so far will do anther review after I leave so far so awesome

This hotel is poorly set up for people on walkers to visit. The disabled parking is past the pool off on the side by the RV park - then there is a long walk into the building past the pool. Then a walk completely through their shopping/food court/wedding/business areas then onto an elevator to go one floor up, then if you need ramps to the casino they are placed so you have to walk through more eating/bars until you can get to the casino. Forget the main entrance - valet only for disabled and all close parking is club members only then stairs up to the main entrance - I give them a D.

Recently remodeled and beautiful. The bed was extremely comfortable. My wife and I had a great time at the casino. My only complaint is how expensive the food was. It was like $42 for an XL pizza. With that being said, you dont have to eat there. There are tons of great restaurants all over Reno. Definitely stay here though.

We felt like we were walking into prison! Waaay to many security. They took my boyfriends pocket knife to hold. We even had to wait in line for the elevator. Rediculice! They were covid scared!!!

I love going to Grand Sierra Resort. I come here with my family at least twice a year. I have always been pleased with all the services they provide.

Negative: Room dirty, no washcloths, bed uncomfortable.

I met a relative from out of town here. Dinner at the coffee shop was good and server very friendly. The pandemic has really changed things. Im not sure why anyone would want to play poker under these conditions.

Nice place. I do have a few issues . One is that I invited some friends to my room 1924 in the evening. We had been gone all day and when me any our friends arrived to the room it had not been serviced it was quite embarrassing. After I told my friends how nice the room was. And the other is slot service I had to wait 25 minutes for someone to come. But I do have to say the the food at the cafe was delicious. My wife and I had the rib eye and it was very flavorful.

This is an amazing resort and casino, love staying here. Very clean and modern with great restaurants! Easy parking and lots to do here.

Great customer services! So nice and clean place to go around. This is not just a place for gambling. It has lots of amenities that is for the whole family! Just the smell of the smoke of cigarettes that was not good. Hopefully it can be improved especially in the airconditioned room. There was no bad smell inside the room. It is just when I adjusted the room temperature to quite warm that I smelled the smoke of cigarette. God bless!!!

Would definitely stay again... Room (double queens) big enough, bathroom & showers very spacious compared to others Ive been to. Shower head was on point- could have stayed in there for hours. Enough cabniet space, drawers, small fridge, single use coffee/makers, TV, iron & board, hair dryer, etc.Due to COVID we pretty much stayed within hotel which was fine. There was plenty of things that were open to do on our stay: arcade for the kids, bowling, different restaurants (expensive/ inexpensive including cafes), pool, bars, Starbucks, casino, different type of stores (clothing, everday items).Few minor things i didnt like: 1 of the head boards was broken ( truth, kind of creeped me out a little), unable to move shower head where i wanted it- had to be close to the wall where the faucet was, no microwave.

Fun place would hace earned 5 stars but I was pretty inconvenienced. My brother lost his phone and we asked security for it. Of course we inquired about a specific phone model,color etc. They had said phone and my brother unlocked it using his pattern. Yet they needed for some reason to take my id and fill out a hefty form.

Visit here every other year and I dont expect much to change because thats how I like it but amidst this covid outbreak I thought they would take measures to keep it cleaner than usual... First thing I find in the fridge is a left over smoothie like they didnt even bother to look inside what else did they just leave as is and not clean. If its some sort of complimentary smoothie which i doubt ill retract my review but otherwise ill leave as is

Not the Grand Sierra I remember. We use to come here yearly for youth basketball tournaments. It was our favorite trip of the year. The hotel was still clean and in good shape. Nothing was open. I get it that its covid but we had just stayed at Atlantis and their restaurants including the steakhouse were open. At both places we stayed on the concierge level. GSR had nothing open for concierge level. Atlantis still had a concierge set up. We had a very sub par dinner at the cafe. Even with reduced capacity were were placed in a room that shared a wall with the elevators. We didnt realize till bedtime how bad it was. When I said something the next morning I had to go to management level to get any help and even with that they placed the fault on us. We have to do a Reno stay 8 times a year at least we wont be back to the Grand Sierra.

I absolutely love this hotel and casino resort. This weekend that we went Unfortunately they were having a couple events so that was very overcrowded and currency many hand sanitizers located on the casino floor or wipes or anybody cleaning machines that was very disappointing but I still love this place anyway

But 120.00 for a 50-60 bottle of Hennessy was ridiculous. Elevator was good 4 people per elevator. Security asking people to wear mask who were not

The lines at the counter are long. The main floor is all cloudy with cigarette smoke because of the casino. The room was old and dark. I was supposed to have a microwave but they had no more. The lower level was nice, cleaner, great arcade and 5D games on offer. Security at the elevator was a great idea. The pool was clean and access to it was well managed. The workout room was clean and not crowded, it was the best part of my stay.

Great things for kids to do. Staff is extremely friendly. A couple of things bothered me. Uno Mas Street Tacos Restaurant didnt have a kids menu but the hostess said that they had items on the menu that kids would like. The only thing my grandson liked was the chips. The shrimp for the fajitas were to big to fit in the flour shell, and the taste of the shrimp was a little off, also the fajitas didnt come in lava bowl they were just on two plates. We werent in the restaurant, they had us seated us in a lounge across from the restaurant. Totally missed the vibe of the restaurant. My husband and I were at GSR about a month before we decided to bring the family. We ate at Uno Mas and it was great but this time around it was awful and very pricey. One Night we had Johnny Rockets. My daughters hamburger wasnt fully cooked and my chicken sandwich was rubbery. Beyond the food problems, my grandson had a blast. We did the VR was awesome, he went swimming and played at the arcade. I bought a $100 game card and it last forever. Will take the family again.

This was my first time in years to Grand Sierra Resort and Casino. Let me tell you that it is clean and inviting. Everyone we encountered on the staff (especially the Grand Buffet staff) were nice and friendly. The casino is updated and its a large size in the main lobby. The Grand Buffet has excellent food too with bottomless mimosas Saturday and Sunday 9am-2pm. I cant wait to go back again for the brunch!!

An oasis of beauty amidst the barren, desolate landscape of the Biggest Little Disappointment in the World. If you absolutely have no way to get out of coming to Reno, stay here. The rooms are classy, clean, and extremely comfortable. The casino is decent sized, lots of slots options, and a good set of tables. Theres a night club (open with limited capacity on Fridays and Saturdays!), and the pool is awesome. Makes you forget about your current geographic location!

The room is great! The price is great too. The only thing I can say is the casino smells not very good. Overall this is a great place if you want to find a place for one night in Reno

GSR has really done a great job revamping their place! The pool is way more open and I like that they have a spot for 21+ in case you are tired of getting splashed! We actually got to see a movie and go to an arcade which hasnt happened in months due to COVID! Fat Tuesdays downstairs was def one of my favorite spots to hit up on our 2 day stay!

I would say 3.5 but thats not am option, so 4 stars it is.Meh is my reaction. Bad bad lighting in the queen room bath, so do not expect to have enough light to do your hair and make up in a decent manner. The light in the main room was just as bad. Most restaurants are only ok. Rim was delicious, though, but stay away from 2nd street pizza and their very stale awful Uno Mas tacos and burritos. Yes, youre gonna smell pot everywhere... because its legal here. They are enforcing masks and in the covid world, we felt pretty safe. We might stay here again, but we might not. El Dorado is a little better. But only slightly.

Much better than our stay at Atlantis. Fabric furniture in room was stained. No extra roll of toilet paper. Bedding linens and bed were comfortable. Children running in room above ours until very late, very noisy.

We came, we won, and conquered the best sleep ever. Loved those beds in awesome room.

Very disappointing. We made a reservation for a room with two queen beds, actually paid extra for it. They gave us a room with one line. When we complained, they said, they dont have any room with two queens available, and it was only a non-binding request anyway (did I mention we paid extra for making that request).So instead of giving us another room, they said they would send a pull-out bed. Which took an hour to arrive, but better than nothing.

GSR offers a lot to do on their property. You could stay there and not worry about having to leave. The updated rooms are nice and spacious. The reason for the 3 stars was due to the over crowded dirty pool. The picture shows the discolored water, which should be crystal clear and sparkling. Things you want in a pool when you want to go for a dip.

Great atmosphere, closer to what a vegas casinos like than any of the other places Ive been to in the area.

The casino is fun and clean. They actually have real security. No sketchy vibes, pre-covid loved coming here hanging in the casino eating and every once in a while hitting up LEX and the pool. Still a great place and always smells nice love that industrial fragrance they use

So many amenities at this hotel and nicely appointed large rooms. Plenty to do. Plenty of places to eat. Good, friendly service. Oh, and a casino, if youre into that sort of thing. I also took in a wonderful massage at the spa. So why only 3 stars? Smoke! My throat started hurting within an hour. My eyes were puffy (I wear contacts). Its present even in the nonsmoking rooms.

More times i come here the more generic it feels and my girl always goes with another guy

Loved it! Clean, close to the air port, family friendly, many places on-site to eat on different budgets.Has a shuttle to and from airport every 30 mins. Over the top friendly staff.I visited the spa and got like 5 different services. Once again super clean, friendly people everywhere and fair prices.Still serving cocktails on playing tables, just is not allowed to smoke on the table. Some tables have protection screens and others dont but just admitting 3 players at the time so you can decide whichever makes you feel comfortable.

Beautiful hotel on the outside.I did not have a room there. I went to gamble in the casino. The patrons were practicing safe distance . I like how they was sanitizing the machines. Some of the attendants was very nice. Downside there were no signs to direct you to where you needed to go . You either walked around or constantly ask for directions.

Really fun place to go and very cheap, the pool is very nice here. This resort is close to everything so is very convenient .I def thinking of coming back soon proably next week.I want to go back to this resort is really nice i really liked it here i def reconend itI only went for 2 days but i would like to cone back for more days and thus time in the snow it be so much fun and proably i would go as well .I bet is so nice in the snow inwiuld love to see it.I have gona before but i came to south lake tahoe to ski it was fun but next time iam going to go to reno.I would like to go and see all the little towns as well i heard they unique to see so iam gonando that i heard some of them look like the all western movies.

The rooms were very nice and clean, but the big down fall, no room service during the week Mon-Thur?, and when we called the only Cafe open in a 24hour casino, to place a pickup togo order, wanting to relax in our rooms and eat they told us, they had reached their Togo order capacity???? So needless to say we had vendor snacks... then as we try to have a nice dinner,that next evening Tuesday in the beautiful Steak House the casino has to offer. Well unfortunately if you are trying to relax and have a vacation during the week, wanting to miss the madness of all the crowds, you are not offered all the Accommodations, as even the Steak House is closed during the week, even the shopping mall only had Starbucks and a little convenient store open, but had tons of beautiful stores, I would of loved to shop in, but the rooms were very nice, we staied in the Executive suites and they were very comfortable and very nice views

The hotel in general is really nice however, the room itself was not that great. You could tell the room has been vacant for a while or just not cleaned well. There were brown stains on the carpet and curtains. The lamp shades are cracked and stained with old food stuff, and the outlets in the bathroom did not work at all. Everything was dusty in the room and had a sticky residue, and the mirrors were all water stained. We literally cleaned and sanitized the room ourselves before letting the kids inside. Overall, nice hotel..but disappointing room.

This place is always packed and it sometimes make it hard to get a drink but for the most part service is good and slots are okay not my favorite. But there rooms are nice and they do treat there reward loyalty card holders with pretty good comped rooms.

Nice hotel desk staff. Handled an unusually busy check-in well enough. Stayed in the concierge. Room was kinda outdated to be honest. Ventilation system gave both of us a sore throat and headache. Grabbed a sandwich the first night that had me in the toilet most of the next day. Not so great for an adult escape with my Lady. I will try again at a later date and hope for a better experience

Celebrated my birthday and it was great, even with the masks and all. The resort and room were very clean and the overall atmosphere was magical! Thank you for making my 2020 Bday truly unforgettable!

This place truly sets itself apart from the other hotel casino resorts in this area. When here there is very little to pull you away from this fine and well put together establishment.

We recently had a lovely stay at the Grand Sierra Resort. The staff worked very hard to make sure we were accommodated and did their best to keep things moving with all the covid restrictions. Ron Padrotti made sure all our needs were met and exceeded! The rooms were very clean and cozy and the gaming was more available than we had expected prior to the trip. Awesome hotel! Thanks for taking care of us!

Room was excellent. The escape room was a pleasant surprise (we were looking for one around town). The VR arcade was cool. The staff was great.

We just went for my birthday. Its a nice casino and the room was very welcome and comfortable. The bed was comfortable and clean as was the bathroom.Because of this covid things were closed down and too many people not respecting the social distancing and crowding the elevators when its only 4 to a trip. So that was a little stressful as was the wait for the elevators. Other than that it was a good time!

Positive: The pool was great and the beds were pretty comfy.

Clean rooms, good food. Couldnt believe how many people bring their kids to a casino, a lot of really loud kids running up and down the halls all night.

Nice hotel and casino. I recommend staying in the A section. Its much nicer than the other rooms which are a bit dated. The service was great despite the COVID challenges.

Got rolled at the BJ tables. But man was it fun. Dealer was a blast, funny, energetic, great conversationalist. And overall didnt speed deal. I HATE SPEED DEALERS. they deal as fast as possible and run you dry.

Rooms are nice. Great customer services, I like that are actives for kids. My biggest issue is the cigarette smoke and not enough circulation to relieve that second hand smoke. I know it’s casino but that smoke was to much. Especially when your walking in that’s all you smell is cigarettes. You have kids and older people coming to visit to. Maybe they should have a section where you can smoke. That’s my biggest issue

I loved my room and honestly was surprised how nice it was I was kicking myself, thinking wow all this for me? It felt so nice to have a big bathroom and bedroom just so classy and comfortable. *I was on the 22 floor not their regular floors* view and everything 2 different rooms bedroom and bar room with lounge chairs. Also loved the scents of the lotions and etc.

This is a nice hotel and casino with a fabulous steak restaurant and the bakery made my birthday cake. The infinity pool was very nice.

The room on the 18th floor was nice. The bathroom was beautiful. However the sink drained very slow and was hard to brush your teeth with running water or it would fill up. Casino is clean for the most part. Lots of heavy smoke smell compared to other casinos. Maybe the ventilation system. People smoke weed in the casino so its even more smoke on smoke. Lots of wild acting guest compared to other places. Seem to let just anybody in. Service is super slow. Half the businesses are closed on and off and weird hours. Gambling paid off well and was great. Hard to get food after 10 pm so you have to order out and meet the pizza boys on the street super annoying the gsr wont let them deliver to your room.

Negative: There wasnt valet or maid service. The casino was filthy. There wasnt any social distancing at the casino and in the lobby. I had to take out my own garage. Ask for toilet paper and towels.

It’s a pretty nice hotel! The rooms are clean and welcoming! The amenities are pretty good. The pool is nice and so is the fitness center. The casino is not small and has a good variety of slots and plenty of places to eat. For the price paid, I would definitely stay here again, although I wouldn’t eat at the buffet again though.

Wish they had a bath tub with the room, but it was pretty decent stay. The view was awesome.

The pool and spas were really dirty. Specially at night you can see better After everyone swimming gross. I know they dont have time to clean at night but still. The free rooms are nice except for the toilet. You cant move in there. Very tight squeeze. And dont expect to have room to swim now that they let the public in just pay a small fee. You dont have to stay to swim. Very crowded.

It was a real shame that we couldnt even enjoy a good drink before gaming without being hassled about wearing a mask unless actively drinking? I understand that they have a job to do, but, really? Reminding us 5 times in an hour during date night, not cool! Took our money elsewhere!! Not the casino experience it used to be!

This hotel has gone downhill fast. It was way overcrowded, not clean, and the food at the restaurant made me sick. I dont even know how a chef salad does that but it did. I was however impressed with my massage at the spa!

Overall pretty good experience. Some of the staff wasn’t particularly friendly or helpful. The facilities are nice. Casino floor had a lot going on and good ventilation for the smoke. Got a players card today and that was an easy process, although the explanation of rewards and benefits left much to be desired. Checked out the spa area, wasn’t overly impressed, better options for that elsewhere in Reno. The nice part of GSR is the range they offer. Great for events and they have a lot of other activities going on like the outside driving range and ice skating in the winter. There is definitely plenty they could improve on, but overall they have a lot to offer. The infused water they offer is really good!
