El Retiro Park

Nice little park next to a library. It has tennis courts and a large picnic area. Would have been better if the picnic area was covered. Pretty cool that all the residents along the park have direct access to the park from their houses.

This park has big trees for shade to sit under. Has green grass to play freebie or for your fur babies to take a walk, of course with a leash attached to their collar. And being a RESPONSIBLE owner. The play equipment was not open because of the caution tape, indicating not available the day I went was June.22.2020 It has benches for lunchtime with the family or friends.Has small barbecue pits. Has a tennis court. And a library. No going inside library. Untill CoronaVirus is lifted up. But the day I took my grandaughter.They had pre-made craft bags for kids to take home and make a craft.You, might want to call in advance to check if Craft bags are still available.. And they also had a flyer with information to sign up for story reading for kids.That a person can recieve on line with your own computer.

Nice quiet little park with lots of shade.

Fun little neighborhood park with plenty of parking, a Library and public restrooms (the Library is closed temporarily due to the Rona. Not sure about the restrooms)... also has two small basketball courts and tennis/racquetball courts. Small play area for the kids and big grassy areas. Theres a partially covered spot with tables and BBQs. My dog really enjoys coming here to sniff around.

Great neighborhood park with some big eucalyptus and other kinds of trees and to post up under, picnic/bbq area, basketball and tennis courts. Big field for dogs, volleyball and softball or kids. Nice succulent garden near the library and bathrooms.

Nice, quiet, clean park away from the main street. I went there to vote in the recent CA election. However, what struck me was how peaceful it was. There were no intrusive traffic sounds... just the jubilant sounds of kids laughing at play. -- It looks like a nice place for a picnic.-- Fairly limited parking, but I think that is a good thing. It is a neighborhood park.

An awesome little park. Lots of grass and trees for shade, and there is also a nice little playground, picnic area, and tennis courts.

Kids enjoyed the equipment. Lots of room to run and play. Seems to be in decent neighborhood. Had no problems finding parking even though many people were there. Wouldnt hurt if a few more benches were added, maybe something some Girl scout or Boy scout troop might be able to do for the community!?!

Enormous park surrounded by old trees, perfect for toddlers and picnic dates. Kids roam free in the sand, so bring beach toys. Some parents bring blankets and chairs. There are a few benches and a lot of grass area. Do not bring puppies and dogs as it is forbidden.

Great little tucked away park with large trees around grass fields and a playground with sand.

It has a great place for children to play. They also have tennis courts and a library. Another thing is they have a lot of open space for pets. They also have basketball courts and an area to eat. It is a great place to go I recommend it

Bathroom stalls dont have doors, except the handicap one. No soap, so bring hand sanitizer. Might want to bring toilet paper as well as the only stall with a door was nearly out. No paper towels to dry hands off either. Parking was good though.

Easy access to PCH. Lots of green space and playground equipment. Also lots of shade from the older trees.

Great park with lots of open space, a kids playground jungle gym, bunch of bench tables, making this an excellent location for a birthday party for the little ones

I love this park. Its sort of out of the way and hidden in the middle of a little neighborhood in Redondo Beach. one driveway leads in and then it opens up into a nice park with a nice playground some tennis courts and a field that can be used for any type of sports activity theres a couple buildings that you can rent out for parties and such and its just a really beautiful a little quiet park thats tucked away.

The park I grew up going to, was there to vote this time around.

The neighborhood is beautiful (Redondo Bch/PV-adjacent). Park itself is plain, slightly multi-level. There was a concrete building in the center, which may have been a restroom. Surrounding neighborhood is worth a walk.

AWESOME! I found it to be extremely nice. Lots of room to run around, and unlike most parks, the parents here are quite nice. The equipment is sturdy, theres the recycled tire platform and the sand area is decent sized. I dont know if the library is will open, I only drove past. Its a great spot.

Honestly if they had a pump track this would be a 5 star at least they got a few stairs though.

Dog friendly, kid and family friendly. Both shady and sun filled areas.

Awesome place to have a big party with children. The park is great for kids to have lots of fun, and theres a large area of space for them to play around. There are public restrooms, but VERY driry. As for the party area, pretty big, you can rent the party area for your own. Plenty of space to relax and have a good time. Overall, a good great experience.

Excellent park for in door partying when expecting rain

My wife and I were in Madrid, two days before our Globus tour started. It was very close to our hotel, Novotel Madrid Center (very good hotel and service) and on our leisurely way to Plaza de Mayor. We were very pleasantly surprised at how nice it was, seemed to have a bit of everything for everybody - saw plenty of young people walking by, small children with their parents, or just people wandering through. Quite a lot of different activities, nice palace, boating .. Lots of statues and ... a bit about each of the countries that Spain controlled at one time or another ... Very Interesting.If you go to Madrid, this is a must.

Beautiful hiden park. I recommend it specially during sunny days, lot of trees, that means share and fresh. Good size playground. Located next to the Public Library of Torrance.

This park has it all. Library, tennis and basketball courts, playground, covered party tables, baseball batting, and lots of grassy space for dogs and humans.

There is a small library in this park, which has a nice small selection of books. The park itself is very quiet among the Palos Verdes trees and houses, with plenty of grass for kids to run in.

Its a great park tucked away in a quiet spot. It had a little library as well as playground equipment for the little ones.
