A great place to lean back and enjoy the river. Perfect for the kiddos with a well planned and equipped play area too. Good for individuals, couples and can accommodate groups also

Pretty park with lots of flower gardens, a couple of playgrounds, nice view. We sat on the bench gawking at a pair of bald eagles for a while. They werent the only eagles we saw in the area either!

Nice and large park. Plenty of parking and tons of access to the river. Nice porta pottys too.

This is an excellent park with something for everyone to do, a large playground, tennis courts, a swimming pool with water slide, a paved running, walking, bicycling trail, open areas for other games or activities. They also have covered picnic areas. The park is flooded right now. Hopefully it will be dried up in a couple months and there wont be too much damage.

Not much signage for out of towners like me. The boat ramp is great. The fish cleaning station is even better! I wish I would have known that it was there the first day. Still looking for the restrooms. The fish cleaning station is the building in the picture, the boat ramp is just beyond it.

Its a beautiful and well kept public park. Not to mention, there is a water park as an extension of the park, thats open for about 3 months out of the year.

Great place for a gathering or just a nice walk. The river was very high and half the park was flooded but there was still enough room for everyone to have their familys events.

Ive been coming here since I was a kid and I love bringing both of my children here. Its got the biggest park in red wing AND a water park for all ages a walking path that circles the whole park and I cant forget about fishing. Caught some pretty nice fish throughout the years. Come check it out for yourself. Youll love it!

Nice little park on the mighty Mississippi.

Growing up in Red Wing going to Colvill was the way to spend summer. They upgraded the pool when I was in Middle School. But its still worth going. They have waterslides and my kids loved it. My youngest son loved that he could tell how far he could go into the water based on the colored lines. My oldest kids used the slides all day. Not to mention the great playground where there are no rocks or wood chips. Red Wing did wonderful with this park.

Loved this park! Didnt expect it to be this big. There is a huge section for kids to slide, swing and what not. Great picnic area. Not to mention about water park, boat riding. Amazing place for a family outing.

I love to go there in the winter to photograph Bald Eagles. My husband and I have seen as many as 100 there at times.

Colvill Park is an open, beautiful space on the Mississippi. Great for wildlife observation such as bird watching (especially eagles), fish surfacing on top of water, or seeing snakes on rip rap. There are lots of parking spaces, an enclosed rental space along with open picicnic shelters for get to gathers. The park offers a modern city swimming pool, tennis courts, walking paths, and a large safe playground (for the traditionalists there are two sets of seesaws set apart from the modern playground). There are displays of art at various places around the park. There are two boat ramps one at each end of park. The east ramp is a double launcher with a dock, plenty of trailer parking, and a new fish cleaning station! If you dont have a boat plenty of fishing spots from shore.

When visiting Red Wing during the summer, make sure you plan to stop at Colvill Park. If you plan ahead, pack your swim suit and spend a part of the day at the community pool. I have also enjoyed watching the boat traffic go by. Your may even be lucky enough to watch the Sheriff chase down a boater who just violated the rules. Regardless of your pleasures, you will find this park to be gem.

Love this park and have since I was a kid. But the changes since then have really added character. The lil tea cup, butterfly park thing its cute! Play equipment its amazing!! Awesome spots to fish too!

This is a wonderful place to take your kids for afternoon fun in the sun! It has plenty to do for all ages. Zero depth pool and diving board area plus two waterslides!! It also has a park for the younger kids to play in during the hourly safety check. As a bonus, the views of the river are beautiful!

I had never used Colvill Park to access the Mississippi River before. Not only was it a great boat access but an absolutely beautiful park and gathering place. What a wonderful use of that riverfront. What a gem for the residents of Red Wing!

We enjoyed our picnic lunch, the great play structure for the kids, our view of the river, and found open, free, clean, public bathrooms. All good!

This place is great. The kids like the water park and my son and I have some pretty good luck fishing for bass, Sunnies and Crappie. Out of the dozens of times weve been there weve not noticed any bad elements hanging out or anything that would detract from the niceness of the whole park.

Great fish cleaning shack. Could tell hard work and thought went into its construction. boat launch is wide enough for two boats. was tricky launching during high water. bring waders.

This is a great park on the banks of the Mississippi River in Red Wing. There are many opportunities for wildlife viewing in any season. Its a common gathering spot for bald eagles.

My mothers side of the family has a family reunion there every year. There is a fun playground for the youngsters and a walking path along the river. Its fun to watch the boats, barges and wildlife. Our whole family enjoys it and looks forward to the reunion reach year.

Colville Park used to be kind of icky but now it is really nice

Cool park lots of different options

Great place to watch Bald Eagles in winter. The eagles congregate here when other water bodies are frozen. For seeing eagles, the colder the better!

Lovely waterfront park. The shelter is well protected and in good repair. Mind your picnics around the seagulls, as they can be somewhat aggressive around bread.

LOVE THIS PLACE. I am usually here throughout the winter photographing the bald eagles while they fish for gizard shad. The eagles congregate here because of the open water. This last Christmas there were about 200 eagles in the trees lining the river banks. A fantastic site to behold.They a lot to offer in the summer too. Swimming pool, boat launch, walking trails and a play area for the kids. If you go in the winter, dress warm. It gets cold standing by the river.

This park includes both a traditional playground as well as a large wheelchair accessible playground with lots of room for chlidren to play and explore. A beautiful flower garden is nearby that appears to be maintained by the local master gardeners club. Our children happily played in the park for several hours as the adults in our group took turns to enjoy the flower garden, view of Mississippi, and walking trails.
