Love seeing old, re-used architecture! Great Museum that covers a LOT of ground, from the heritage of early settlers, native people, crafts & artisans, Red Wing Pottery, local industries, Schools, and even some natural history and paleontology! I lived learned about Hot Puffed Rice (The Only Food Fired From a Gun!)Gift shop also has some neat pieces, including postcards of reprinted old photographs. (Which I look for everywhere!)

We came to RedWing Minnesota a few years ago and loved the history!We loved it so much we bought a 1877 home!The Goodhue County Historical Society has friendly staff and is a great place to visit!The homes in RedWing are awesome and they have a historical home tour each year!Great place and town!

Great overlook of Red Wing. Its quiet and clean. I take my kids here all the time to watch sunsets.Staff are super helpful and resourceful!

Friendly staff, great view of the river, lots of interesting artifacts. If you love history this is a must stop, definitely helps show how the Red Wing area was developed.

Excellent County historical society, good exhibits in a nice facility, run by a great staff.

An enjoyable morning in Red Wing with Leonard Cosmo. Especially enjoyed the History Center.

I feel that this place has so much to offer for people to learn. The history of the area and how people thrived in the harsh winters without modem conveniences is something to behold.Be aware before going that their hours of operation need to be looked up before going.

Not very comprehensive in their records. Main focus seems to be on Red Wing.

Long recognized as one of the top county historical societies in the nation. Exhibits are well researched spanning thousands of years of human history. Great hands on activities for kids.

Great museum.A lot of local art, artifacts, and information on the geology of the Red Wing area. Love it!

I have a soft spot for history. Theres a wide range of exhibits hear from local history Native American and Industry.

With the amount of things that are in this, there isnt a whole lot to really captivate you and provide a Wow factor. I loved seeing it all, but events or tours by volunteers to provide insight would really liven the place up!

Very beautiful scene as you look out from the back with monuments that explain historically what was and your looking out at.inside is very educational on history of redwing.

The exhibits were really nice, and Family Fun day was a great deal. The lefse demo and samples were my favorite.
