Really cool!! Multiple play grounds for all ages. Enjoyed walking around the lake and having a picnic in the shade.

The park is full of sculpture to commenmorate the veterans. Each sculpture is unique and has a description. They are near to the children playground and very accessible to the creek and lake near to the convention center.

Loved Berlin Wall exhibit. Grandkids loved play areas. Its of grassy areas. Only thing is the homeless. Wasnt issue and left us alone, just not comfortable with having kids

We recently returned to Rapid City and sought out Memorial Park for a family walk and some playtime. Granted, this is in the middle of the COVID-19 pandemic so our experience may differ from yours. The park was clean (for the most part) and the many playgrounds were in good states of repair. There were however a lot of transients in the area. They didn’t bother us or even seem to acknowledge us for the most part but we did have to leave an area because our children were being exposed to marijuana smoke without regard for their health or our position on drug use. We don’t know if we’ll return to this park. Again, your experiences may vary (and we hope they do!)

Small but very nice place to walk with lots of attractions

This is about the best park in town. There is playground equipment here for kids of all ages and handicap accessible equipment as well. I do wish the parking was closer but I understand they have to make do with what they have so the Civic Center parking is the closest. I would also love to see a FENCED dog park somewhere in the Rapid City area as well and it seems like there would be plenty of room to add one here.

We all love this park. Beautiful green area with water and I think 3 playgrounds and exercise equipment plus a beautiful trail.

The only thing that would improve this place would be more shading over the play areas. Love that all the parks have restrooms and accessible by sidewalks and bridges and have the river running through them. Another huge plus of memorial park is the adult exercise equipment. All the parks I visited in rapid city has beautiful flower gardens and other beautiful sites.

I love how theres so many different playgrounds rolled into one. Everyone always has a lot of fun playing here, adults included.

Beautiful little spot with plenty of water, sunshine, and friendly faces. There was a small music festival here at the time, which some family members and I enjoyed thoroughly. Good stuff. (Love and peace)

Great park! By far my kids favorite!

The improvements made over the past few years have really made a difference. Theres a great bike path along with innovative bike racks. Every structure added to this park is a work of art, including the childrens play areas. Rapid Creek runs right through the park. Memorial Pond is also stocked seasonally for fishing. Unfortunately, not everyone has respect for the beauty found here and the grassy areas around benches are inundated with cigarette butts, and if you look into the water anywhere within a stones throw youll find trash.On the upside though, the park is regularly patrolled by city police and is a safe place to take your families during peak hours.

Great park for little kids. They have a few different areas for different types age groups which is great if you have toddlers. Sometimes can be shady people in the area but a lot of fun otherwise.

A beautiful park. Just make sure to get out before dusk. Tons of addicts frequent there. They were friendly though.

I absolutely loved it! I gave it four starts because they are people just sitting there without kids who are not trust worthy. But over all I love it

The park itself was great. the landscape was beautiful. the kids enjoyed the playgrounds. I especially enjoyed that they had something for all ages. however, the bathrooms could use a lot of work. absolutely disgusting. my 3 yr old needed to use the restroom & even he said gross when he say the dirty state that the stalls were in.

Awesome and interactive. My kiddos loved it here and i had as much fun as they did!

A truly great public park!! This park includes a variety of activities for children of all ages and abilities. We stopped here while visiting from out of state and this park was perfect for tiring out my son before a long car ride. He would have kept playing for hours. Working public restrooms in late October were also a huge bonus.

The best park I have ever been to! I wish they had more parks & school playgrounds like this in more towns! Its amazing for all ages and has something for everyone! Its many play grounds all near each other on a walking path divided up by the age the playground is designed for ! Its genius! There are water fountains & restrooms available as well. Its made to accommodate all children of all needs!!

Gorgeous park. Lots of fun for the kids...we can barely pry them away from the play equipment.

This is a fun park located in the downtown area. The homeless presence was discouraging but not the park officials issue.

Its a great place to take your children to or just relax by your self.

Its a really nice park. The playground portions of it are divided between areas roughly based on age appropriateness so if youre a parent taking their kid(s) its easy to know where its safe for them. Beyond that the park looks beautiful (SD standards) and its typically kept clean. Whether thats a testimony for anyone paid to keep the park clean or the publics interest in doing so themselves, idk, but I like to visit here at least weekly to excercise.

The park is beautiful during the day, but i wouldn’t recommend going there in the evening/night.

Beautiful park on the edge of downtown Rapid City with fishing, trails for walking/biking, benches, and plenty of play equipment including ADA accessible and sensory equipment for children on the spectrum. Lots of parking, next to the Civic center, shopping and food in close proximity, and easy access to the highway.

No shade for a hot sunny day. But otherwise lots to do for all ages. Even workout stations at each park

A nice place for a quiet walk near the pond and creek. Flowers and fountains during the summer make for a pretty place to spend some time.

Nice park, good berlin wall memorial in it and also has a nice lake. Bathrooms are available also.

Love that there are lots of different play areas to explore when the kids get bored with one. There is some fun equipment I havent seen elsewhere and a seek and find feature. Parking is difficult and requires a bit of walking
