Pond trail is open. But Parking area is closed .Informed by a very rude local resident.
Great short hike with a pond. Needs to have better signage in order to know where to park and begin
Short trail and unfortunately most of the preserve is private or owned by the state of CA fish and game, thus cannot access those areas. Beautiful and peaceful though.
Nicely maintained trail for 0.37 miles through beautiful oak woodland, then another 0.33 mile of not-so-well maintained trail up a ridge. Its a MUCH shorter hike than what is described in Take A Hike San Diego, which describes the ridge trail as being about 1.5 miles. It would seem that the author was hiking on private property which has since been fenced off. Pretty but short, not sure its worth the time
Beautiful spot for photo sessions. We often take our dog there as well for afternoon walks as its well shaded.
May be good for bird watching. Its in a residential neighborhood with no parking and a keep out sign on the only small rutted dirt road winding down to the pond. Some water visible even during this drought though.
One the best spots Ive seen in ramona. Gorgeous in the spring.
Beautiful place
