Great 3 mile hiking trail loop. Beautiful in the afternoons. Keep an eye out for hidden treasure.

A nice, simple, easy hike with some views. The porta potty was a bit yucky but something is better than nothing, still my girl wouldnt use it. We made our own loop using an unofficial trail, both official trails are out and back. We saw horses and very few other people, if youre looking for easy Barnett Ranch is your spot!

A nice hike with cows nearby. Different trails available to keep it interesting, but none too difficult. Very pretty!

Found this little trail in the middle of Ramona after working out there in the middle of the week and decided to kill some time and avoid rush hour traffic. The place is really green right now and there are wildflowers as well. A rabbit ran right at me that was being chased by 4 healthy coyotes but once they caught wind of me they went the other way and I saw them 30 seconds later after seeing the rabbit run by so there is definitely wildlife out there and a lot to offer in a short and easy hike.

This site says it is open. When you travel 45 minutes to get there, yes it is open but you cant park it the lot there. There is no place nearby to park and hike to it. So really it is closed to anybody but the rancher who lives a couple miles away. This is ridiculous. The cars parked in the lot will not be passing COVid 19 to each other!

Not only is this a beautiful place to hike, I can bring my horse for a nice relaxing quiet ride. The parking is spacious for horse trailers, and still room for other vehicles, it was also very clean. There is a separate turn lane to get into the Preserve parking area which makes it much easier to get in

Its a calming place to walk with little noise, a great not so known spot just to enjoy nature. Just be wary there are coyotes that like to scurry accross the trail

Barnett Ranch is beautiful right now! Once you park, all you have to do is walk along the paved road until you see a trail head on your left. There are two trail heads within close proximity of each other. If you take the first it will meet up with the other trail anyway but it is narrower and I dont think that path is taken as often as the second? I could be wrong. You can also continue to walk alongside the road until it comes to another trailhead which if taken will loop you back. The trail can easily take up to an hour or more if you make some stops. Horse/dog friendly. Lot of picnic tables along the trails under nice beautiful big trees. Right now since its spring you can hear the buzzing from bees almost the entire time youre on the trail. So if you have a bee allergy or a concern be aware, lots are here. There small hidden jems here.

Good hike not much foot traffic, a few horseback riders and a few hikers. Got there early when the fog still hanging out. There is wildlife out there just saw a lot of birds. A lot of paw prints some dog, some Im sure were mountain lion, also deer and racoon tracks. Definitely a good hike for r the family or just getting out of the house. Plenty of parking its free and a port-o-pottie.

About 3 miles of trail or dirt road, fairly easy if you stick to the main trails. Lots of brown grass with some trees/brush, and a few picnic tables overlooking the surrounding area.
