My wife and I attended the Swan Lake Ballet tonight and it was awesome. the staff were super friendly and helpful. the venue is beautiful. the drinks were very reasonably priced for an event like this. overall we had a great time and I would definitely suggest this place to others. I know my wife and I will be back.
George and I went to see the Jersey Boys tonight. The venue was clean and it was quick and easy to get in. They served a nice array of top shelf beverages and light food. I paid $8 for a top shelf Vodka and soda. I do wish there was more places to sit when you are waiting to be seated. Jersey Boys was amazing! The show was top notch and I am comparing it to my experiences with the shows I have seen on Broadway in NYC. We were not disappointed. George got an opportunity to take a pic with one of the cast members. So sweet. That’s my 2 cents. You decide.
I saw a production of West Side Story and WOW! It was amazing. The theatre is not overly populated with seats so you are more comfortable while watching the shows. The staff was friendly and helpful.
We went for a field trip! The staff was friendly and the show was good, but the parking and drop off arrangement was not suitable. Maybe they should consider drop off in one location and pick up in another location if they are doing multiple times of the same show?!
Very impressed! My husband and I went here for a Gary Allan concert, which was incredible!! Every staff member was very professional and friendly. The bathrooms were kept very clean, which was a huge plus! I highly recommend and would definitely visit here again!
If you want to watch a professional ballet Memorial Auditorium is a great place to be as it is home to Carolina Ballet, an internationally recognized ballet company. Carolina Ballet offers a wide range of classical ballets from Balanchine to new pieces choreographed by contemporary guest choreographers.
Went to see West Side Story. The facility is beautiful and well maintained. Bathrooms are great and the seats comfortable and well spaced.
Such a great place to see a show!! Ive been coming here since I was a kid. My sister and I have season tickets this year. Whoever is scheduling their Broadway shows has really stepped it up this year, and next years schedule looks even better!! I just really enjoy this venue.
The place is beautiful and the sound is very good. It is absolutely worth is to see spectacles here
Love to see shows here!! Great entertainment, quick concessions, clean and spacious bathrooms. We even got moved up last minute to help fill out open spots!! Thanks box office manager! Very welcoming and helpful staff. We will come see shows here again for sure.
Our second visit to this exquisite complex, once for the Dancing With the Stars, and last night for the King And I. The auditorium serves as a showcase for the Raleigh community. We purchased season tickets last nights. The staff is very friendly, complimenting the inviting facilities. Parking remains a problem downtown, but the parking areas can easily serve a full capacity crowd. I highly recommend an evening here at the Raleigh Memorial Auditorium.
A beautiful building and a great place to see live performances.
Always love coming here. The staff is very professional and the venue is the perfect size for the acts that come. Feels slightly classy inside. I love that they serve food and drinks as well!
As always The Memorial Auditorium is full of entertainment. The King and I production was beautiful and well produced. I highly recommend seeing any performance here if you get the chance. They serve refreshments before the show and during intermission including; snacks, water, soda, wine, and premium adult beverages.
Such a great place. Accept no handrails down to the seats. The floors are uneven and so are the stairs. So the help of the ushers and theyre wonderful flashlights can get you almost anywhere. Of course the play was fun!
We have been subscribers for 15 years now and love it. Great performances.
Had VIP seats. Horrible. Who sits in those little hard seats. Enjoyed the show but never VIP again.
So nice to go to the theater and be treated kindly when you have a disability. We needed special parking and had special seating but it was the treatment by the people that impressed me. The play was fantastic! My daughter and I brought my granddaughter for her first play and she said she was amazed!! She is hooked for life now. Loved it!
I attended pieces of gold with 2 others. (Student groups from Wake County schools). The performance was really well done and well received by the audience. I enjoyed myself and was impressed with everything besides the ridiculously priced concessions that are worse than movie theater prices. Other than that all was well.
Love it, very convenient. Staff is very friendly!
Raleigh Memorial Auditorium is a very nice venue. I have seen plays and concerts there. The acoustics are very good and there really are no bad seats. There is ample parking within a two block walk radius. I would definitely recommend this venue .
Went to the George Lopez show. The show was great! The venue is beautiful. Getting in and out of the area was easy. Much more pleasant experience than going to the PNC. Where you pay $20 to just park.
Great show. The King and I. Brought back lots of memories. Singing was great, good story, and I could sing along quietly. Enjoyed it.
Box office was really informative. Much more reasonable to actually go there and get your tickets rather than get ripped off with exorbitant fees through ticketmaster.
I love this venue. I dont think theres a bad seat in the house. I love DPAC and its closer for me, but this venue feels more personal. Staff has always been courteous.
We came to see in the Heights and it was our first time in the theater have to admit I found the staff great the seats wonderful and viewpoints all excellent. Only complaint was with the sound mixing which made the dialogue difficult to hear over the music, but I think thats the fault of the show not the theater. Had such a pleasant experience were looking at buying a mini seasons pass.
My fiance and I went to the Smart Money Event this month. A first class venue... elegant, full cash bar, updated bathrooms and the acoustics are great!!
Saw the piano guys. Great show, excellent flow of people and good staff. I have seen shows there before and will see them there again.
Nice place, it was our first musical there, live the performance of the orchestra
Love going to plays there. Just a wonderful, up-lifting experience. Mama Mia great, fun play!
The venue is quite nice but it suffers from the same problem many places do in the US - extremely rude, obnoxious security staff who get all giddy because they have a tiny bit of power.
Saw Bill Engvall. He was pretty good, I was surprised that there was no opening act. The Auditorium was a lot nicer and larger than I anticipated.
Went to see In the Heights. Great performance and a great location. Perfectly situated near tons of parking and great eateries. The Auditorium is great for seeing plays and musical performances.
We came to see Hozier and the acoustics was amazing, we were up in the balcony and still had a great view. Would come for another show again.
Saw Momma Mia, great show. The actors did awesome job. But like the movie it is PG.
I love this place ️. I didnt enjoy the last show (The King & I) but that was the first time I have ever not enjoyed the presentation. I cant wait for the next show!
Saw Carmen and I dont think theres a bad seat in the house. Lovely sound production as well, no complaints at all.
The event was beautiful, but the aesthetics of the auditorium was beautiful. I love the decor and the seating. The restrooms were very well sanitized which is always a plus!
Ive seen 2 shows here now and really like the atmosphere. Some of the theaters inside are smaller/larger than others, but theyve both been great. The concession selection is good (but expensive as with any theater) so we normally skip the concessions. The shows have been quality and price-affordable.
Easy access to the theater. Parking no bad at all. Nice place in general. Just water is allowed inside of the theater.
Impressive, clean, convenient multipurpose center. Great location, good stages, upgraded spacious restrooms..
Lovely theatre in downtown Raleigh. Easy access, plenty of parking. Saw Aladdin and his Winter Wish. Very funny, good family entertainment.
A little short on directions to seats outside the auditorium, made up for by efficient ushers inside.
This place was very nice and I found parking on a weekend afternoon.
Went to see John Cusack! It was awesome! Love this place
Our seats were great and the theater was the perfect size for this event
Clean! Neat! Super Polite Staff and the show was GREAT.
I took my grandchildren a few years back to see Rudolph the red nosed reindeer and when I seen it was playing again this year I would love to come again and see them
Mama Mia was wonderful. Sound system worked well. In the past this has not always been the case.
Good acoustics, nice refreshment offerings. There are some blind seats in here due to poor arrangement of seats and rise between rows
Always a great time and high quality productions.
Loved Kinky boots!
Enjoyed Mamma Mia at the auditorium, what a great show! The auditorium is beautiful and was easy to get in and out!
Went to see the symphony playing the score for Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban. Awesome!
Great staff, wonderful performance.
Very comfortable venue. There were just too many steps everywhere.
Great place. We have had season tickets for 3 years . Wonderful venue.
Great local theater that doesnt simply show touring productions. Support local artists :-)
Beautiful venue for a special event! NCSU graduation for our niece!
This is a lovely theater and I dont think theres a bad seat. We primarily attend the Carolina ballet there. Test yourself to season tickets and dont miss a performance. Support the arts in Raleigh and find yourself the one that benefits!
Saw Mamma Mia. Crowded lines. Tiny seats. Great show. Alcohol.
The staff of this public performance art facility are lovely. Their attention and passion for their guests expresses the true spirit of southern Hospitality. Yall are o so awesome!!
Awesome place. Really enjoyed the show
I enjoyed the Duke memorial auditorium. It was beautiful. Not a fan of big cities.
Amazing venue for any show. Clean bathrooms, fair priced concessions, and very friendly and helpful ushers.
Loved the Nutcracker Ballet! Bravo!!!
The Shen Yu performance here was awesome. The venue is quite nice.
A favorite venue...good seating, acoustics. A wonderful evening of prayer & worship!
Awesome place to see performances.
Acoustics were great. Enjoyable!
Great venue for Carolina Ballet performances!
Went to see Kansas in concert for the 40th anniversary of the Leftoverture album. Its a small and intimate venue. All seats are good and nice and comfortable. The place was very clean. All personnel were friendly. I will definitely go back again and have been looking at their calendar to find other shows wed be interested in attending. Oh... its also easy to get in and out of. It was decorated for Christmas and was beautiful!
Loved George Lopez show, drinks high as giraffe eyeballs, but....
Nice theater but wheelchair seating is not great. There is not enough room to park a wheelchair in the designated area and still allow people to walk in front of chair. I had people tripping over my feet all evening and ended up turning my chair sideways and watching the show over my left shoulder.
The venue is great! The staff are horrendous. Make sure youre sitting in your assigned seat. No dancing in the aisle! Youre dancing too much! Sit down! I guess it would be alright come here for classical music.
Beautiful venue, amazing performances, and an impressive amount of gravitas!
Awesome proformers when shows are in town,Highly recommended.Got to see the hights and Aladdin.
Very nice venue, the employees are all friendly. It is a very clean facility.
Parking attendants during Lamplighter were not pleasant
This is a lovely venue for stage productions. My most recent visit was to the annual Christmas Carol production. We thoroughly enjoy attending events at the Memorial auditorium, love having lots of lobby space for meeting the cast and getting intermission snacks.
Great performances.
Love the arts. Love the auditorium. Not the newest, but its a theater. Good seats all around, typical of a theater.
First time going I truly enjoyed it.
Magical. Love Raleigh Memorial Auditorium and love Ira David Wood as Scrooge
Nice auditorium for all cultural n arts funcyions
Cuz we are here to see THE GREAT... ALICE COOPER...YESSSS
Small enough that every seat is great!
