Ive been here a few times, and this is a special store. The girls here really know what theyre about, Ive never had a bad experience here. I especially wanted to commend Sunny, the salesperson who recently helped me. One of the most stylish and fashionable women Ive ever been lucky to meet!

Wandered in for the first time and did some browsing. My wife and I were greeted enthusiastically and eventually dressed with some very nice clothes. Very reasonable prices for some high quality clothes.

I love The Art of Style! I went in after work on a whim and bought several really great pieces that were unique and edgy - i.e. just my style with high quality materials. Kendra and Alexis were super helpful and honest about what looks good, as well as just friendly and personable. They all had great recommendations and Im excited to come back soon!

Honestly the only place downtown to get stylish and current mens clothing. Ive stopped in for a tie bar and a bow tie and there are literally no other options. The staff is helpful and Kendra is amazing.

This is a great place! The products are extremely unique and very high quality. If you want style you can’t find anywhere else in Raleigh or NC for that matter, this is the place. Ive been a regular customer for a couple of months now. The staff is always friendly and very helpful. Theyre there to help you style the perfect outfit or if you just want to browse theyll leave you alone and have you look around on your own. The customer service experience outside the store is lacking though. Ive had a shirt altered by their seamstress and the turn around time for it took about 2 weeks. In my opinion thats a long turn around time that shouldve been presented up front. I paid $10 for it to be shipped back to my place of residence which is also over priced considering priority shipping is $7 for a small flat rate box. I ended up in town when it was ready so I picked it up instead. I didnt mention that I had already paid $10 for it to be shipped back to me. I just let that go. That 2 week turn around time was only for the tailoring. It wouldve been closer to 3 weeks had I waited for it to be shipped. I had also tried on a white dress at the store but I noticed it had brown markings on it. They said they would have it dry cleaned and shipped to me free of charge which is great. The turn around time was about the same for the first item and I received it about 3 weeks later. The dress arrived with the same markings it had as when I tried it on in the store. I have great experiences in the store with the staff but it seems like once you purchase the item they dont seem to care about your experience afterwards. Communication is lacking. The turnaround time for tailoring and shipping should be stated up front and the dress shouldve been checked after the dry cleaning to see if the stain was still there or not. They shouldve communicated to me that the markings were still on the dress before shipping the product. Dissatisfied with the customer service after leaving the store.

I was intrigued by a recommendation to check out Art of Style so I stopped by, looking for the assistance of a woman named Kendra (owner). While I looked through their selection, she commented on the specifics of why certain colors and cuts of clothing might look better on me (skin tone, hair/eye color, and physique) and why some things might not. I enjoyed the honesty in her observations. After finding my sizes (samples on floor, inventory in the back) it was time to see which ones would make the cut. Im usually skeptical about new things or new looks, but after trying on a few items I noticed she was spot on about everything. In fact, to my surprise, the clothes were quite flattering... all of them! Kendra really knows her stuff! Ill never forget how she explained it... clothes can make you look good, but more importantly, they need to make you feel good. What a great ethos!The clothes were more fitted/tailored than what I was used to wearing, but they were very comfortable and have quickly become some of my favorites. Being complemented by friends and catching people eyeballing you when youre walking by are great ways of realizing youve definitely bought the right clothes! My personal style has always been a little conservative, so the distinction between blending in in the past and really being noticed now was quite palpable, noteworthy, and singularly satisfying. Great place to find unique, quality pieces in Cameron Village. The owner, Kendra, is animated and loves to help people find the right style or fit. She stocks her store with clothes that have a classic look but with a little edge or flair. She chooses from among local and national designers, offering mens, womens, childrens and accessories.

Best mens and womens clothing in the downtown Raleigh area for sure. Kendra and Natalie have an eye for whats fresh. Just look at them and you can tell. See something you like but cant spend right away? Put it on your style registry and pay it off whenever you feel like it. Theyve only gotten better with their new location.

My husband and I were walking downtown Raleigh and i needed to use the restroom. We popped into this shop and I asked to use theirs. The girl behind the counter started to tell me that they usually dont get people off the street asking to use the bathroom. And said, Just a minute and proceeded to check put not one, but two ladies before allowing me to use their restroom. She let me in. While I was in the restroom, my husband asked her why she was so rude to me. She again said that they usually dont have people walk in off the streed needing a bathroom. She had absolutely no way of knowing whether or not we had money to spend in her shop. Which we did. If i was going to spend it somewhere, after the way she treated me, I wouldnt have spent a dime there. I thanked her on our way out and she smirked at me. Only after we had left did my husbamd tell me aboit his conversations with her. Overpriced clothing and a rude salesgirl

I cant say enough good things about The Art of Style in Downtown Raleigh. The store is small but there is a lot of stuff packed into it. As a man, it is usually pretty difficult finding a stylish store that doesnt exclusively stock suits and stays away from the come-and-go of fashion trends. The Art of Style is a perfect spot in the middle. Looking for a fantastic Blazer? They have you covered. Looking for some shorts and a nice button up? They have that too. Everything from great jackets to swimsuits, they have it all. I think most of all, the majority of the pieces come in great base colors. This is the kind of place that you can build a wardrobe around, rather than buying one shirt that matches that one pair of pants that you wore twice. These pieces are timeless.Furthermore, Kendra and her staff are fantastic. They are more than happy just to let you browse without looking over your shoulder, but as soon as you have a question, they are there to answer it. I think this is an understated but pivotal part of a good business. I have walked into mens stores before and had four attendants just watching me, offering almost too much help. You have to let the customer discover what you have, and The Art of Style does this brilliantly.In short, their prices are good, their pieces are great, and the staff is a joy to work with. If you are anywhere near them in Downtown Raleigh, dont miss out on a chance to stop by. I will be back in soon myself.
