100% Awesome museum. Leave yourself plenty of time to browse. And don’t miss the opportunity to chat with the docents. They are former military, and have their own stories to tell. And if Navy, ask for the opportunity to pilot an Arleigh Burke destroyer into San Francisco Bay to its berth.Bravo Zulu to a memorable visit. ️

Although I’ve not been to the new location I loved the old museum in Fishermen’s Village. It was small but the heart that went into it was amazing. I was pretty disheartened when I walked into Fisherman’s Village and saw that it was gone but to know they have a new place all to themselves is great.

Such a place of honor! It was a humbling experience that touched my heart. What a wonderful tribute to all our servicemembers. The education provided by the exhibits & volunteers exceeds anything offered by our educational system. The chronological sequence of American Military History displayed is done with reverence & respect for the sacrifaces made. If you love America, then this is where you can learn & respect our Military. The volunteers are so helpful & provide information as well as listening to our personal military history. The ongoing schedule of events provided by the Museum is outstanding and enhances the experience. This is my second visit to the museum but it will not be my last. I tell all my friends in NH about the Museum & encourage them to visit when they come to Florida. Thank you.

I got there and the store was closed. All I wanted to get was a US Flag and a Marine Corps flag to put on my trike. I drove a very long distance to get there. If I go back, Im going to call them to make sure theyre open. I was told that the person that was working there had an emergency, which I totally understand. But it would have been nice if there was a second employee there to help customers who travel long distance to get to their store.

I took my son here a few months ago and he is still talking about how amazing it was. You get a lot for what it cost to get in. Unlimited knowledge, stories, and history. If you go on the right days you will also have the opportunity to talk to Veterans and hear some of the most amazing stories. Can’t wait to have some free time to go back and see it all again. Check out the VR tours and simulators. Don’t forget to make a stop at their library also.

If one of the staff offers a tour, definitely say yes. Youll have a much better experience connecting with the history and with the veterans giving the tour. We loved that they shared their own story. Dont miss the virtual reality tours and the flight simulator. Those were awesome and added a great value.

What a landmark in the Southwest Florida community, so much rich heritage and stories of local veterans behind every artifact. The Military Heritage Museum is great learning center for the younger generations to capture a glimpse of what their earlier ancestors went through to fight for their freedom. Freedom is certainly never free.

Sparkling new museum, still with some work to do. Loved the exhibits, but also disappointed in the lack of space committed to WWII, arguably the biggest, most massive war in history. I hope they regroup, reassess, and I will return to see it again.

Wow has it changed since I was last there with my young son! I would encourage anyone to go and take your kids of any age to it if u have kids. Very interesting and informative, there used to be veterans who volunteer their time to answer any questions, tell their story and give you a chance to shake hands with Americas true heroes, the verteran of any of our wars, and thank them for their service. Their stories are amazing. They Also had a donation box near the door, dont forget it costs money to run the place. But its been a while since I went thre, 4 years as I moved to MI. I will definitely go back if visiting the area.

I would have given it 5 stars, but I was deceived. I took my parents there that were in from out of town. There was a box for donations, so my father put some money in it, assuming it was free. Then the lady behind the desk said “It’s $10 per person, $8 for veterans”. She never mentioned that was only to get to the second floor.
