What a lovely area of Poway! If, for some reason I could no longer live in Oceanside, Poway would definitely be my next choice! The park is quaint but very nice, includes public restrooms and picnic tables, biking and walking trails with restaurants nearby. Children-friendly place.

It was real nice. The city of Poway finally opened the play ground. Myself, I love the part of they park where the train is. Itd beautiful, probley the best place for taking photos. So many seniors go there to take their senior photos. Wedding photos. The tress, all three green grass truly one of the most relaxing placed sitting in the shade on a Sunny day sitting in the shade so relaxing and beautiful. Ive lived in Poway since I was 12 I am now 61 I love it here a small community. It its a little city in the country. I love it heart a beautiful place to raise children.

Poway park is a gem in our region. It is small but beautiful and nicely taken care of. It is great for kids to run around and feels very safe. I like how it isnt flat, but sloped and natural around the few old historical buildings. There is a nice playground, closed now because of COVID. But there is a snake of painted rocks to add to, a free book library, and trains. Sure, there is a very cool fourth of July thing. And the train ride can be great fun for the kids. But, just meeting someone under a shaded tree is nice. There arent a ton of picnic tables or a ton of space, fyi.

Beautiful and quite park. Nice place for us seniors to walk and relax. There are a lot of big trees and perfect shade to enjoy nice breeze. Me and my husband took our own chairs yesterday. It was a perfect day. It was not very hot and breeze was really pleasant. I saw a few people having dinner and different benches. People were very careful and had proper distance.

I have been visiting Old Poway Park enough to experience all the seasons. It has a working train you can ride and the kids will enjoy. The Nelson House will give you a glimpse into Poway at the turn of the century. The Poway museum gives the history and its growth from a rural farm community to a wonderful City in the Country. Good eats can be found at The Hamburger Factory. And Saturday they host a great Farmers market. Come enjoy a tree filled park.

I see a few pub/beer places opening soon. Looks like a great place to live for a family or couple that enjoys the smaller town environment with big town conveniences. I will definitely return soon.

Small park with a steam engine train. Popular place for birthday parties, graduation and wedding photos, small hall rental and summer music in the park. Lovely turn of the century home, local history museum, and a gazebo. Rattlesnake Creek runs through the center providing plenty to explore, especially tadpoles in the Springtime. Saturday farmers market and artisan booths are packed with vendors as well as shoppers. Plenty of parking. A few eateries, small shops and a convenient store complete the mix.

Love this farmers market. The prices are great, food fantastic...especially the tri-tip sandwich! Yum! Just sad that the original man that sold honey is gone and replaced by someone else whom wasnt friendly or offered my sister a deal of $1.00 off the next purchase when returning the empty honey bottle. And she bought the biggest size honey jar from him. There is a guy that sells honey with his produce and that avocado honey is so good!

Awesome park- this is where the main hub of Poway events is so if you are in the area around Christmas or 4th of July, you will want to check out the park. The vendors at events are always so friendly, whether its food, hand-made goods, printed photos, everyone is very kind and friendly and the entire park is large enough to house everyone while only taking less than 5 minutes to walk across in a crowd. If the museums are open and the train is running, youll want to give them a try as well.

My husband and I took our just-3 year old grandson to the Christmas events in the park. I cant rave enough about it. Weve gone to other events there that we have enjoyed, but this was simply the best! We arrived at 2:30 to ensure a train ride. The Train and Trolley are always the first place he wants to go. The petting zoo was fun, even more fun when we saw a goat head but a toddler in the tummy. Didnt hurt her, just startled her as she lay on her back! We enjoyed watching all the connecting of the trolley to the train, and other preparations. The volunteers are all friendly and patient in answering questions, and teaching. naturally, we ate their, I had Phillipino, my always favorite, and my husband Mexican. Little guy shared with me. He enjoyed the crafts and story time areas, and I particularly appreciated all the youth participating. Sets a great example for the kids. The carolers and dancers on the stage are a favorite of mine, but not so interesting for the little guy so we moved on. We left at 5 as everyone was pooped, but could have spend hours more! Great, great job!
