A great theater, good programs for the public and also gives back to the community and to the schools. Great community partner, very excited to have them in my hometown. Give them a visit, you will not be disappointed!

I would give negative stars if that were an option. We used to have a great experience, but new management this year is horrible!! Sent my daughter to camp here for years and she Loved it in the past. But this year she comes home crying. Every year they offer 2 comp tickets and give to my daughter. This year however they did not offer this and did not tell anyone. We now find out that the show is sold out and we can’t see her play!! This place has turned fast into a bad place. Do NOT support this place until they clean house!!

Excellent performance! A small theatre in the middle of Pottstown. You can have your culture and a beer or a glass of wine

Could use better refreshments and more seating in the front. As far as the actors i wasnt impressed with THE CHRISTMAS STORY. Was not true to the original. Ralphie had a brother not a sister and Flick was a boy not a girl! Also Ralphie could have been alittle more expressive! The Father and Mother were good and Santa... well not what i expected! Not sure if i will visit again.

This is a wonderful local theater I would love to see become a landmark playhouse in the Montgomery / Chester County areas. They put on a variety of types of shows with different sized theaters. Parking is on the street, but there is usually plenty to be found. There are some good nearby restaurants that could make for a great dinner and a show.

Great local venue. It is really nice inside and out. The staff is extremely helpful and nice. The plays and events are always great. It is very easy to see. Steel river is located in downtown Potttown and it is a true gem in business district. The parking is on street so sometimes it is hard to find parking in that block sometimes you have to park a block east or west of the venue but it is not that bad because you get to check out some of the awesome downtown stores and they are great. A super big plus is that there is a wonderful ice cream store located right across the street so arrive a little early and enjoy some really good ice cream or hang out in town after the show and have a milk shake

You will not be disappointed at the comfort of the theater, the quality of the production or the price. I just picked up my 13 year old granddaughter from seeing their must recent production and she absolutely loved it. I am so glad to have a bit of culture so close to home. Street parking was convenient and there is a parking lot nearby. Much better than watching a movie any day. I wish they had more productions.

I have been to Steel River several times and have always had a good experience. One time I had an issue with a ticket I purchased online, but they quickly resolved it. Being smaller actually makes it a unique theater experience because there is not a bad seat in the house. I still prefer to sit front row when I can because its really intense to sit so close to the actors, especially for a drama.

The show was wonderful. But trying to hear the actors when they did not face you was very difficult. Is there a way for the actors to wear microphones rather then have them hang down from the ceiling. Please sit in the upper seats and you will understand.

Wonderful local theater. Good sized seating area and the back rows still have clear views of the stage. The productions are always done in a quality fashion. Most of the actors weve seen in shows there seem to be enjoying themselves and putting a sincere effort in for their best work. Parking is street parking but weve never had an issue

Ive been to several Playhouses and I would say I was pleasantly surprised by this one. They had ample seating, we sat in the middle rows and still had a great view. The production (The Little Mermaid) was amazing; the vocals and acting were on point. Overall it was a great first experience at this playhouse.
