Easy to find. Plenty of street parking. Busy location for skateboarders, dog park lovers, and even my small group meetup. Still, not well lit, nor many places to find a bench or table to sit. We used flashlights and sat on the ground.

I visited this park the other day. Finding it somehow was difficult; its not small or anything, so idk what my problem was.Beautiful space, lots of shady areas. I had lunch with a couple friends. There were dogs out the whole time. Its a special park for certain, tucked into a nice community.

Nice neighborhood park, lots of open space to enjoy, and be able to distance. Plus has a small playground for the kiddos.

St
Review №13

One of the only places that has adult sized monkey bars. Right next to the pull-up bars, and with two variations of monkey bars across the playground for the kids to play on, it serves as a nice site where grown-ups can actually use the equipment without feeling like weirdos who are taking it from the kids. Plus a dog off-leash area immediately adjacent so that four-legged buddies can come along, and it all adds up for a great venue. Downsides are that the school practically connected to the playground usually has the best resources reserved, and there are often a cluster of sketchy transients making use of the port-o-potty and drinking fountain intimidating.

This is a quiet park in a residential neighborhood off Hawthorn. Its peaceful to sit and relax in.Has been all fields, good dog park. Homeless people are there but it seems to be every park within striking distance of the city. Police patrol it and ask them to leave, but it really isnt unsafe.

Cute little park....lots of people enjoying the sun playing baseball....looks like a nice place for a picnic....but as always be aware that people have claimed part of our parks as their home....watch for trash ...and especially needles....they stick them anywhere they can to get rid of them.....SO DONT SIT DOWN ON ANYTHING WITHOUT LOOKING FIRST!...YOU NEVER REALLY KNOW!

Its a nice, open park for small and larger children. Theres swings, two slides, two sets of monkeys, tire swing, seesaws, and a spinner ride. Theres also a large field for your dogs, baseball field, and basketball court. The park is surrounded by large oak trees which provide decent shade from sun and shelter for rain.Note: the older twisty metal slide in the photos was replaced by smaller ones. See my photos for reference, taken in April 2016.

Theres nothing particularly special about this park that makes it a frequent destination of mine, other than proximity. Its mostly flat, with limit landscaping, just a handful of trees, one of which is pretty cool (the one by the culdesac).I take my dog here often and there are usually other friendly dogs with their humans, who are often also friendly. Technically, the offleash area is a small section of the park (the area--a sloped plane with more trees than the bulk of the park which is wide open, and flat, grass--south of the baseball field, and west of the cement pathway which dissects the park) but Ive never seen anyone stay confined to this boundary when the field is not in use, which is most of the time. That said, its worth noting that this is the field area for an Elementary School, Edwards, located on the same block. Expect kids of the appropriate ages, then, to frequent this park, during the school year especially, but summertime too, for sports teams.Aside from the baseball field, and the young childrens playground, theres also a full basketball court, with good, relatively new surfacing; a couple of picnic benches, a few benches for sitting... and thats about it, really. Oh, also theres a community garden on the same block.By the way, in my experience, most people mispronounce the name of this park as if its Sea Wall-Crest. But if you look a bit more carefully at the spelling, youll see that its s - e - w - a - l, thus its most likely pronounced more like sue-ole, ie, like sewer, with -al instead of -er. That said.... personally, I still pronounce it sea-wall-crest... afterall, it works, so why not?

This park is a hot mess transience everywhere along with Urban campers despite the fact there are signs posted that it is illegal to camp in the park. Not looking forward to my daughter having soccer practice here through the rest of the year but definitely going to be keeping a close eye on her and her soccer team. I literally grew up walking to that Park with only two siblings and being able to play and run around and nobody was concerned for anybody safety other than playground accidents. So sad to see this park go and such a Negative Direction. Good job Portland.Just an update on bringing my daughter for soccer practice this year. This park should just be listed as an urban camping ground just pulled up to find 4 groups of homeless people completely camped out in the field and around it making it so my daughters soccer team couldnt start practicing until the Urban campers had been rounded up and sent on their way.
