Great little park for dogs and humans. Lots of little trails. Well kept. My border collie thrives in there
This is a great little park that is mainly in loop. In in a neighborhood next to a flowing Creek. It I loved it. Great place to relax and it wasnt packed. Dog friendly and theres an easy trail to bring elderly or kids in a stroller
Beautiful walk and well kept trails. Very impressed!
Beautiful. A smallish wooded area with multiple trails. All trails are hilly, and some with stairs. They seem to do a decent job of mitigating slipperiness on wooded walking structures. Dogs on leashes ok. No bikes. There is one paved main thoroughfare that you can use a stroller on, but all other paths are foot traffic only.
I cant thoroughly convey how much I love when the name of a place accurately describes the place. This place is both the woods and a natural area. Thats all you need to know.
An unexpected wooded area buried in SW Portland near freeways and capital highway. You parallel a creek and climb up and down and listen to the strong bird sounds. Lovely houses ring parts of the park and its a quiet and wonderful place
Wonderful little trail system. If it wasnt for the hum of passing traffic, youd completely forget you were in an urbanized area at times
It has quite a variety of trails. You can even make two trail loops. With dogs or without - we enjoy this park.
Went there today with a friend. Near the river we encountered an older male wearing bright athletic clothing. Felt uncomfortable around him as he kept insisting to show us to isolated places around the park, even though we were insistent on keeping to ourselves.I am working on seeing if another reviewer encountered the same person. A police report has been filed. Please be careful if you go here alone.
Beautiful nest embedded in Multnomah Village
So beautiful. And very easy to social distance here
Contemplated killing myself here. Didn’t do it.
Love this place but confused about where to park. One of the main entrances is right in front of someones condo. Guess thats the reality of urban hiking. Lovely trails with excellent upkeep.
I hadnt taken a walk here in years, it was still just as serene and beautiful as I remember it. I appreciated the fall colors, the little creek running through, and the multitude of trail options. What a gift for folks looking to connect with nature.
Small, but great for an afterwork walk.
A gem-- a small but well maintained community Green space with a surprising variety of terrain and trails, given its size.
Great set of paths, well kept. Clean, quiet, and beautiful. Wonderful community space. Im so glad to have this nearby. A great destination for a little nature time and exercise. Also a nice short cut for some destinations. Plenty of ways in and out. It is steep. But the stream makes it all worth it
My favorite neighborhood park.
Pocket-sized hiking area centered around a deeply banked creek bed featuring a Doug Fir dominated mixed forest. Deep and mystical, with slanting sunbeams and moist ferns. Woods Park is a primeval gash into the surrounding bucolic environs of outer Southwest Portland.
Natural beauty all around you!
Beautiful place & you wont even notice the people that come into the park to smoke pot since it smells like skunk anyway. The houses that surround the area kind of take you right back to the fact that youre in the city but it truly does make for a nice walk... other than the skunk stench.
Good place to walk your dog or children. Nice trails and creek.
I like it because Im usually the only one here and can let my dog off leash! No whiners to be seen!
These trails are awesome!! At some parts you can forget that your in the city! It feels great! The elevation flex is in invigorating. Highly recommended! 10/10 for Portland in city trails!
Other than its being a smaller little tract of forest, stream, and trails...it’s a little gem. The trails are awesome for running or walking. Many folks are there with dogs. I did get a bit concerned after picking up some creepy vibes from an older person who was there. I was really glad that I wasn’t further in when crossing paths. But after that I quit going alone. I’ve thought about trying to see if any assaults have taken place. Sorry to put a spin on the place, but walking alone as a female has always - since I was young - demanded caution.
Beautiful trails through the park.
Forested beauty in my neighborhood.
There were SO many trail options! Trails were not overcrowded. Good workout and hangout spot.
Its a nice little wooded area in the middle of the city. If you like shorter walks through nature its great. Other than that its not a place I would recommend driving across town to visit.
Love it! A nice quiet place really close to civilization is a rarity.
A watershed preserved in the urban hills of Portland. Unpaved trails and hilly terrain.
Im obsessed with this hidden treasure in Southwest Portland. there are so many trails that zig and zag throughout a thickly forested nature area, lots of streams, and easy access to and from main roads.
As someone who has come here many times due to its location, I can say its really not worth 4.5 stars. First of all its really small, not worth driving to. Its really pretty but the hike is so short that you dont get to enjoy it too much. It seems to have become a spot for pot smokers and kids riding bikes, so its why Ive stopped returning. Also nobody seems to keep their dogs leashed here because its so unknown, so watch out. The little wooden bridges/paths are kind of run down as well, and the weird metal fences kind of ruin the ambiance. Not worth the hype
A lovely wooded area with several hiking trails and a creek. Usually pretty quiet. Not any designated parking, but most of the trails end on a neighborhood street where you can usually find parking.Excellent bird watching!
Great walk thats easy for little ones.
Another great place to walk, ride and enjoy being in a forest tipe setting... lots of trees and shade for people out to relax and enjoy some exercise.
Beautiful area. Very green and picturesque!
Love walking around this park!
Very steep, not super family friendly, but was a neat hike.
Great set of trails just off I-5 & Capitol Hgwy
A really lovely series of short well maintained trails, with a babbling Brook and tall trees.
Great little park. It is in a ravine surrounding a creek; which, means you will spend most of your time going up or down hillside trails.
Nice wooded park, well maintained trails. keep the dog leashed nobody seems to follow that rule. not A HUGE park, dont expect miles of trails like forest park. but pleasant, quiet, plenty of parking. nice for a cool summer walk. no facilities so be prepared
I lived close to this park in the fifties and it was a destination for family picnics, church gatherings, etc. I wish it could get a little more attention from the city. It could once again shine.
A tiny but gorgeous park in the middle of SW Portland. None of the trails are long, but you get tall trees, a perfect, burbling stream, and all the giant slugs you can handle.
A truly wonderful natural area located, used by dog walkers, joggers and as a through way for the neighborhood. Highly recommended.
Gorgeous talks along a creek. Its a great place to wander.
Great place for a dog walk along a quiet creek
Cute little creek and nice trails to wander!
Quiet, lots of trees, away from road, but still visible, beauty in nature...!
Great little park
Great place for nature
Go too when Im in the neighborhood.
The trail head is on Wood Street. Dont follow Google Maps.
Lovely and quiet little park.
Never place to hike
A playground and a toilet.
Nice park
Very rustic
Nice trails through here, a bit muddy this time of year.
Easy to navigate and family friendly.
Little beauty in the Multnomah Village area
Fantastic hiking trails in SW with well restored forest.
