A small neighborhood park with a nice view of downtown Portland and the industrial, railroad areas north of city center. The best views are actually from the Kaiser hospital parking lot next to the park. There is a small playground, a dog park and some green spaces.

THE most beautiful park in all of Portland, & ANYwhere! As a local, I have seen this place change & grow over the many years now, & this magnificent place only gets better & better! Thank you to the fine parks & rec. staff, and, the Rangers whom keep it safe whom maintain it... you guys & gals are the BEST!!! GO DUCKS !!!

Beautiful park. The merry-go-round is made of metal and brings back memories of being a kid - before everything had to be made of plastic, foam, or rubber. My daughter and I always have such fun playing on it.Her favorite place in all of Portland used to be underneath the giant tree in the field, too. There are a bunch of awesome trees there, but this one is the massive one in the middle. Its a really great place to have a picnic in the shade on a hot Summer day. And its really fun and calming to feel like youre inside a tree tent. Also, theres a pretty fantastic view of the city if you walk to the far side of the park. All in all, its one of my favorite places to bring my daughters and I recommend visiting it at least once. Before developers turn it into a parking lot or worse one of these days.

Nice park. Recently went to a friends wedding party there. The covered area is nice with picnic tables. The water feature wasnt active witch was a bummer. The mature chestnut and oak trees are beautiful!!

Second or third favorite park in Portland and possibly the one with the best views (Mt Tabor?). Nice park for dogs and they have a good off-leash area. Nice old stone pavilion and maybe the best tree in any park in Portland...I think its an alder. They used to do the Organic Beer Fest here, but, sadly, it was discontinued around 2016.

A nice open park, not too crowded. The homeless population is pretty active here but its their park too. It does mean sometimes the bathroom is tied up but that cant really be avoided.

Im giving 4 out of 5 becuase I am a very harsh critic when it comes to parks. That being said Overlook park has something for everyone, be it the homeless junkie or the New To Portland couple Midwest transplants encompassed in a cloud of gentrification...Be it the runner wanting a unique soft surface for a volume oxygen day or the high school kid in desperate need of a grassy knoll that looks over the Willamette, so as to harness a Portland Sunset, and the magic of 420 in a spectacular moment created to envoke a first kiss.A kaiser.permanete building stands ugly and evil in all it represents as slingers of health care, its security quick to make sure you dont cross the threshold onto there part of the park, a part ripe with views of nw and the river.

Nice park, clean, and plenty of tables and green space. My only complaint was, it would be nice if the brush was cleared so you could have a view of the river.

Was a small park but had a nice view. Mostly people playing with their dogs or running. But, we had a nice view of the sunset and city.

Nice park with a baseball field, small playground, and the occasional festival or gathering. There’s a large, heavily built structure with bathrooms that covers a few picnic tables and a number of uncovered tables, plus some great views. Parking is usually taken up by folks going to KP Interstate. It’s not uncommon for folks to pitch tents/make shelters in the bathrooms and covered spaces, but it’s usually pretty clear in the late spring and summer.

I wanted to see what the view was like, as id heard of the park but in 9 years have never been to it. Its a small park (Im used to pdx parks being more like wooded forests lol) and it views both the city bridges and train yard. Nothing remarkable, but okay. It has picnic benches and restrooms.

Great spot top sit n watch the trains. Also has something for everyone in my family. Playground. Basketball court. Huge field to play ball. Water play area. Picnic benches with a gazebo. Off leash area for dogs. Only thing I would do is put a fence in for my furry friend... She likes To explore and being so close to the busy road I wouldnt take her off the leash..

We, a small group of people who are elderly and disabled, and thus have special needs. All needs were accoodated, with multiple options to choose from, we had a lovely ol fashioned fried chicken picnic with games, safe paved walk, accessible bathroom etc. Reminiscent of the good times of our childhoods 50+ years ago, great day.
